  • New Rogue Hero somewhat confirmed?

    Either Edwin or Maiev revamp.

  • New Rogue Hero somewhat confirmed?

Finally... the Tak Nozwhisker skin we've all been waiting for.

  • New Rogue Hero somewhat confirmed?

I think it's pretty clear which character it is going to be if you take a look at the clues dropped in this expansion.

First, we have the whole imprisoned minion thing going on throughout this entire set, all except for rogue (and shaman but I'm avoiding that because it goes against my point here), then there's the fact that DH is now a class and has the main hero being Illidan, a character that has always been locked up by a specific rogue character. Finally, as a nail in the coffin for this whole thing, notice how Ben bolds the word Legendary as if hinting that the new hero skin is already a legendary creature within the game. All these points towards one character and one character alone, Maiev Shadowsong.  In fact, if you look at the game files you can find out she's already been added.

Jokes aside, I know next to nothing about Warcraft Lore to be able to predict what hero is gonna be added, but I'm still stoked to see that a new hero is going to be added for my favorite class.

I'd love Captain Hooktusk. They already have emotes for her and the voice acting was brilliant. Sadly the fact she wouldn't be 'new' as a hero might make it less likely.

Sorry if this isn't an appropriate place to ask this. When we're choosing which expansion our card is part of, are there any considerations besides flavor? Specifically, do we need to worry about keywords on our card that didn't exist during the expansion we chose? E.g., Rush on a card from anything before The Witchwood.

Some people aren't bothered by it so much, but it's a little detail that paying attention to will make the card all the more professional looking.

I've always been one to given penalties in my scoring to cards that use the wrong watermark (and a few others have been too), simply because it looks unprofessional. Using the Classic watermark on a card with no post-launch mechanics (regardless of flavor) is fine, but otherwise, an incorrect watermark stands out like a sore thumb and it ends up looking as if they were apathetic about their card from the start and didn't really care how it would turn out.

If your card uses a post-launch mechanic and you're unsure what set to put it in or it was made with none in mind, using a custom watermark is a much better, more professional way to communicate this than simply using the Classic watermark. Some may view this as a nitpick, but being a nitpick doesn't mean it isn't a valid criticism.

  • Dr. Boom's Ignoblegarden!

Illidan is too cool for Easter Noblegarden.

  • Swain Leaked!

So Fervor is basically just a better Black Spear (something's probably going to die) and Swain himself is...supposed to do what exactly?

What does non-combat damage refer to? Does it mean any damage you deal  outside of the combat stage via spells? Because that means he'd be very easy to upgrade by just playing removal and then give him Overwhelm or Elusive and just nuke the board.

Also, is this the first time we've seen backrow mentioned specifically?

  • New Rogue Hero somewhat confirmed?

So I was just checking by Hearthpwn, because it's funny to read the cesspool of comments you find there, and I stumbled upon this interesting piece of info

So....basically we'll get a new Rogue hero eventually (obviously we do, but it's good to have confirmation) but the hint eludes me.

Are they referring to the fact that they'll use an existing Legendary and turn it into a Rogue skin? (given that we're now getting previous Heros as minions it wouldn't be too far fetched).

Odds are we're getting a male character, seeing how we already have two females, although I honestly would love to see Vanessa vanCleef as a skin.

If they do pick an existing legendary, which one would it even be? I genuinely can't think of a single Rogue legendary that's memorable enough to actually serve as a skin (outside of Edwin, but I doubt they'd ever pick him). Xaril would be hilarious, but I don't think they even remember he exists.

    Any ideas?

This is a totally appropriate question to ask here.

For the most part, the expansion symbol isn't very important. Only a few people will get upset if you use the wrong watermark. When deciding the set symbol, usually you want it to fit both thematically, and mechanically. You don't want Adapt in Goblins Vs Gnomes any more than you want a Mech card in Frozen Throne. Usually it is best to pick whichever set makes the most sense thematically. If you have a card with Rush or Lifesteal then people will probably be cool with you sticking it in whatever set you want, but if it is a keyword unique to a single set like Adapt or Magnetic, then you need to keep it in that set.

Absolutely the place to ask, and great question!

Yes, you should worry about keywords not existing in the expansion you choose. As well as one-expansion use keywords like Overkill and Magnetic, should only be in their specific expansions.

  • Quest Mage and Darkest Hour Warlock Changes Coming! Expect Changes to Open the Waygate and Bloodbloom

Honestly the 3 turns thing is rather irrelevant. I've played some Vargoth Quest Mage decks for some meme Malygos stuff, but the vast majority of decks just use the standard 2 turn win method. It's not like Vargoth suddenly made Antonidas or giants able to win in Quest Mage. The 3rd turn is pretty much just there to allow you to change up what type of combo you'd like to win with.

Agree about DH Warlock, but I hated playing against that anyway.

The Mecha'Thun change isn't really going to change that much. Swap out Bloom with Drakkari Enchanter and the deck works exactly the same as normal.

  • Swain Leaked!

Wow this card brings noxus so much removal the 3 mana deal 3 to friendly for 3 to anything is just amazing in spider decks (if they still exists after getting destroyed by ember maiden).

Swain looks like a natural fit in a PNZ deck maybe with Ezreal as well since here are other 2 targeted cards (I really like the double and triple targeting in runeterra.. hearthstone's UI is limited to always target one thing and it makes so many cards REQUIRE the word random..) in the pool for ez noxus and swain fits very well within a deck that has so much direct damage to begin with.. also ez decks don't quite have a natural second champ slot currently it's ez karma but I think it can easily be swain and Ezreal.

BTW I think RIot will be quite mad on those polish facebook people.. IDK how you can screw it so hard..do they not even follow the reveals or something?

    Quote From CursedParrot

I think it specifies Damage to the enemy nexus, so I don’t think that combo would work. It’d be kind of insane if it did though :

It says any damage not just to the nexus.

"When we've done 12 non combat damage this game"

I guess excess damage doesn't count since it's a strong level up.
