The flavor text makes me think they'll introduce a new mana ramp spell in the next expansion to the effect of "Gain an empty mana crystal (can exceed 10 mana)"
But low key this is just a good card for druids in general. Its better than most 1 mana removal options like Holy Smite, and in conjuction with cards like Park Panther, this card just deletes midrange stuff, which is something druids tend to struggle against.
I'll not be too surprised to see this replace Druid of the Reef in ramp druid, depending on the meta and available support cards for additional attack.
Nice, Dark Peddler is back and with more 1 cost cards for everyone. This seems like a decent card in a few decks, HOWEVER there is one HUGE downside with this card. It's an undead! This means it messes up the undead ress pool for cards like Infantry Reanimator and it potentially messes up Amorphous Slime if Suspicious Peddler is in your hand.
Okay this looks very strong. This card can help implock and murlock a lot by making it so their board will be less likely to be removed. Which is important because they need their minions alive in order to use cards like Chum Bucket, Impending Catastrophe and Vile Library. Also this is Soul of the Forest for HALF of the cost. This will see a bunch of play.
Wow one card for questline druid, nice considering it rotates soon. Maybe this can see some play in aggresive druid decks? Probably not, considering those decks prefer minions and/or tokens instead.
Continuing the tradition of printing disconnected Discard support without a unifying gameplan that does nothing for Standard while overbuffing it in Wild.
This isn't even that good. If it upgraded per discarded card I would be impressed, but right now it's just a cheaper Hellfire if you dump a card for no reason.
Very good for an aggresive druid deck, especially after rotation because it's biggest competition: Composting rotates. This card will make sure token/undead druid will have a draw option post rotation. I don't see a ramp druid running this, because i feel like they prefer other options?
So the flavor text hints towards druid getting a new way of getting 10+ mana next expansion..... NOOOOOOOOOO! I'm so tired of druid ramping above 10 mana....
In wild i'm not sure if it sees play, however there is some support for it with cards like Survival of the Fittest. Maybe that deck might also use Celestial Alignment for the mana cheat? Meh.
This is a 2 mana Soul of the Forest so let's keep that in mind. How good or easy it will be we can't tell quite yet but suffice to say it's not weak. Warlock loves to have a board full of Murlocs (Chum Bucket) or imps (Vile Library, Impending Catastrophe). Even getting only 2 minions out of this is worth the mana you pay.
I've been going on a bit of a schooling tear this fine Sunday. I do appologize I work an important job during the week so I'm getting it all out of the way now.
Sometimes winning is just winning, sometimes you need to level Champs, build a deck that does something, and play for the archetype.
A great example was the recent meta deck of echo Jinx, used to be an F tier deck leveling Champs is bad, proper deck building knowledge is bad, playing for the "quest" is bad.
But no a few numbers move around, a few subtle shift and now Echo the worst champion in the game in terms of winrate actually sported a 53% A tier stat line.
So the summarized lesson is here:
1. Play do nothing decks into excessive stall decks.
2. Play tempo decks into do nothing decks.
3. Always build for your Champs I dont care what anyone says.
4. Flex your archetype knowledge
5. Don't be a dick
There ya go LOR is my favorite card game even after Mogwais and Swims departures the people who brought me to this game and showed its possibilities
In their wake we have Allen and Majin but their rigid mindsets and firm meta orientations make them somewhat lacking for originality
Well nifty brings that in spades and originality my friends can't be beaten or countered.
See ya

The open attack delema:
Traditional knowledge in LOR says open attacking is always correct.
This is only true in elusive decks generally speaking and is a real hearthstone line of play.
Mtg traditional knowledge states that hp doesn't matter.
That it's better to wait things out leverage your hp as a resource and win decisively.
Illoi is very good at this and I'll share my list for what I think is one of the best decks in the meta right now.
There is some bad Ionia matchups depending on the amount of stall and their wincon but for the most part it's good into everything people are playing.
I used to run Riptide sermon but monster harpoon on average is cheaper and more efficient at eliminating midrange champions. Which the meta is full of right now.
I'm trying to tell you guys this deck is dope you can hit 3 jaxs on curve and an orn and sweat your nerdy little heart out and still lose.
New Druid Minion - Death Beetle
I feel that in next expansion we will get a card that increases your maximum mana crystals by 1, so that it can be more balanced.

New Warlock Spell - Plague Eruption
Standard: Meh, maybe some slower warlock deck might run it just because it's a 3 mana potential board clear. Doesn't seem that good.
Wild: Trash. 1: It doesn't go FACE. 2: Discolock prefers nuking you after they play Cataclysm. 3: Doesn't need a card like this.
New Druid Spell - Rake
Its obvious support for quest druid.
But low key this is just a good card for druids in general. Its better than most 1 mana removal options like Holy Smite, and in conjuction with cards like Park Panther, this card just deletes midrange stuff, which is something druids tend to struggle against.

okay so we're just printing existing cards for half the mana then...
Honestly looks like something that'll be nerfed to 3-mana within a week.
New Druid Minion - Death Beetle
So the flavor text hints towards druid getting a new way of getting 10+ mana next expansion..... NOOOOOOOOOO! I'm so tired of druid ramping above 10 mana....
As for the card itself: I don't see this being that good pre-rotation. Sure you can double Death Beetle + Astalor, the Flamebringer thanks to Anub'Rekhan, but i feel like doubling multiple Astalor, the Flamebringers with Brann Bronzebeard is way better. Post rotation this might be a lot better because you can still double Death Beetle + Astalor, the Flamebringer with Anub'Rekhan, but of course it will depend on how good the new "get 10+ mana" card will be.
In wild i'm not sure if it sees play, however there is some support for it with cards like Survival of the Fittest. Maybe that deck might also use Celestial Alignment for the mana cheat? Meh.
New Warlock Minion - Suspicious Peddler
For fuck's sake, Peddler wasn't even a Naxxramas card, is there any thematic consistency to this miniset?

More discolock synergy. But chances are good you'll forget the synergy and just play it for the 2 damage AoE anyway.
Wild discolock dont need this because they can win very well without any AoE, and standard discolock dont exist.
Possibly something that might get more interesting in future.
