I'm tired of Evolve Shaman; can we give it a rest? For even a little bit? The card looks like it could be enjoyable to play with, but I doubt it will work out in actual play.
I might lack the imagination to see its potential, but I'm not a fan of the card currently. Vashj Prime is slow and understatted, and you have to draw into her before you draw the big spells you want discounted. If the Shaman had received another big spell in Ashes of Outland to combo with Lady Vashj I could see where they're headed with the card, but they didn't.
It's from reddit, but it's supposed to be from some Blizzard employee.
"It's 1 more bonus star per rank: Legend = 10x stars per win Diamond 5 = 9x Diamond 10 = 8x ... Silver 5 = 3x Silver 10 = 2x Bronze 5/10 = 2x
You may additionally get a bigger Star Bonus if your MMR is higher than others at your rank (so high legend players could get 11x Star Bonus). This also helps players who reach legend one month and only play enough to reach Bronze 5 the next month. They will get a Star Bonus closer to that of a Legend player."
And it means that if your MMR high enough you'll get +1 star.
Is it ungrateful to say that I preferred the previous end of season rewards? Dust-wise, this is less value. It was more fun, too, to receive a random golden card and see if I had hopes of keeping it - an unfailable gamble, since you'd get 400 dust if you couldn't!
I also don't like how similar this system is to other systems. It feels less Hearthstone-y. And as MisterKnott said, there doesn't seem to be cohesion between the portraits used. (though Dr. 7 being Diamond 7 gives me a giggle)
It's nice that they're trying something new, though, and I have hopes that this rank progression will prove better for new and old players. Even if I worry that it will feel more stagnant - better players will be back where they were quickly, and newer players won't get the occasional challenge of someone greatly above their skill level.
I'm not a fan of this, mostly because of its pitiful Health. Yeah you're in it for the Battlecry, but still. The Battlecry itself is devastating against token decks, but will that be enough to carry it? I don't believe so.
Now that we have confirmation that the monthly rewards are additive, that's actually a great incentive to rank up each season. Do we have confirmation that every card we receive will be golden (for both first-time rewards and monthly rewards)?
I think it will definitely see play, even if Stealth Rogue fails to materialize. You can trade into basically any 2-drop with this, and the Stealth keeps it from being pinged before that happens.
I’m sure everyone can agree the concept of using the Librams for Paladins feels like a great fit as far as lore goes. Anyone else wondering if Librams could take the place of Secrets for Paladin eventually? Secrets for paladin always felt out of place in identity.
I suppose one could argue secrets are meant to fit in more like Aura’s. But then why not simply design them as such. I’ve been wondering for a while why the paladin hero power couldn’t be an aura that can be changed by cards. Example Pay 2 mana whenever you summon minion this turn give it +1 health, pay 2 mana whenever you summon a minion this turn give it divine shield, etc
Interesting card with an unique effect. It can remove every minion withou trigger deathrattle or other effect...but the downside is that the opponent will have the same minion to use against you. Maybe this card can find a spot in token druid
Tomorrow, April 1, Hearthstone's Ranked Play Gets an Overhaul - Leagues, Stars, and Rewards Explained
This is the most excited I've been for something Hearthstone in ages. I can't wait to rank up with Reno's Riches.
Tempo Big Spell Priest
I don't understand the inclusion of some cards
Catrina Muerte- has the chance to resurrect terrible minions below 4 mana
Flight Master - Terrible card
Azure Drake - Only useful for the draw, spell damage irrelevant, better minions could be in the deck
Corridor Creeper - Bad card in this type of deck, you want that in decks that have lots of tokens to die fast
Hogger, Doom of Elwynn - Bad card, you don't have many ways to damage your minion to get more 2/2's
Bonemare - Buffs a minion quite nicely but feels a little odd in this deck
Gilnean Royal Guard - Niche card, could have a better minion fit his slot
New Shaman Weapon - Boggspine Knuckles
I'm tired of Evolve Shaman; can we give it a rest? For even a little bit? The card looks like it could be enjoyable to play with, but I doubt it will work out in actual play.
New Shaman Minion - Lady Vashj
I might lack the imagination to see its potential, but I'm not a fan of the card currently. New Shaman Spell - Serpentshrine Portal
Spell and overload synergy, ofc Thrall will play this. 4/5

New Shaman Spell - Totemic Reflection
We got support for totem like what.. every 2 expansion? I guess this will be viable around december 2020.
New Shaman Minion - Marshspawn
Solid stats and effect, can be played on T4 and beyond. 4/5

New Shaman Minion - Bogstrok Clacker
Cool art, love the color. 3 mana 3/3 with battlecry synergy is welcome in shaman. Great for early pressure too.

New Shaman Spell - Vivid Spores
This will definitely help the balance version of evolve shaman. Solid card.
New Neutral Minion - Soulbound Ashtongue
Arena card probably and filler card for ranked
New Shaman Spell - Torrent
Will make the list as a single target removal. Zentimo like to meet you in wild.
New Neutral Minion - Rustsworn Initiate
2 mana for a 3/3 +1 spell damage. Better of Kobold Geomancer but i prefer Ethereal Augmerchant in deck that want some spellpower
New Rogue Minion - Spymistress
I think it will definitely see play, even if Stealth Rogue fails to materialize. You can trade into basically any 2-drop with this, and the Stealth keeps it from being pinged before that happens.
New Shaman Weapon - Boggspine Knuckles
This will be in the balance version of evolve shaman. Fun but not OP
New Neutral Minion - Ethereal Augmerchant
Cool effect and super strong in druid (where +2 spell damage can be a huge diffence for a board clear)
New Rogue Spell - Dirty Tricks
Just a good, solid Secret. There's no such thing as a "No Spell" archetype - yet, anyway - so you know this will proc eventually.
New Neutral Minion - Blistering Rot
Similar to Echoing Ooze but i don't know how much it can work...Maybe only in a warlok with the dormant minion
New Shaman Minion - Shattered Rumbler
Easy to activate, but 2 damage on T5 may not be good enough i think

New Shaman Minion - Lady Vashj
Solid in spell shaman, good build around card with a clear win condition. And a great character.
