Play normal until 8 gold, then whenever you find a minion with a strong ability (like Divine shield) you buy every other minion in the tavern, then sell them back (possibly along with any other worthless minion) so that a ton of hats drop on that one minion and then you buy it.

On later turns, after your board is already strong, you can buy junk minions and then freeze the good one so that you can sell two turns worth of cards on a single minion.

P.S. It is easier to do this specifically on tavern tier 3, because on higher tiers there are too many minions and it needs a bit more advanced decision making, which comes with experience.

Consider the following:

• Many Fiora + Shen decks exist
• Many Fiora decks that don't include Shen exist
• Shen decks that don't use Fiora don't really exist

Doesn't it then follow that Shen's popularity will be at best a fraction Fiora's?

That said: they may have designed themselves into a corner here--I don't really know how you empower Shen outside of the obvious role as a barrier-giver to Demacia challengers.  Maybe to help compensate for Noxus/SI units' weak bodies?  Maybe with a big-buff Frejlord deck?

Does anybody know anything about that one deck that has 4 patches in it and how that is possible?

Any spot for Judgment? It is SO satisfying to insta win with Fiora + Judgment.

Have you considered playing Expeditions? That tends to have a lot of variety. Also, it's kind of funny that you seem to have signed up specifically to say goodbye.

Riot is doing an awesome job with transparency and expectations. I wish every game would share this type of honesty with their players.

I can understand Vladimir and Kalista having low play rates, but...Shen?  One of the decks I see quite a bit is the Fiora/Shen barrier deck and it does quite well at that.  Maybe they mean Shen being combo'd with other champions, but who knows.

I like that Riot's being very transparent during the Open Beta as you'd expect any developer to be.  I really hope these types of posts continue after the global launch.

my hopes for the new year/ expansions are:

- pandaria related (maybe new monk class, sha card type,...)

- alliance vs horde (fraction combo cards)

- ulduar related (including the guardians, Algalon,...)

- Sunwell plateau/the eye (Kael'thas, Kil'Jaeden,...introducing "mounts"-cards)

Personally, I always preferred the expansions closer to the Warcraft-lore.

Right now I'm at rank 11 in both wild and standard.  This is usually my ceiling but occasionally I've moved into the rank 6 to 10 bracket.  Lately I've been playing secret mage in wild and face hunter in standard since the decks are pretty inexpensive.

I’m gonna go with something related to the Stormreaver Clan. Gul’dan was the leader of the Stormreaver clan, Gul’dan is a warlock. Though it’s my least favorite class, probably about time Warlock gets a good bump in power level again.

I'm playing the same frostbite decks 80% of the time and its not fun without having any variety of what i'm playing against.

Dancin' Deryl is an interesting hero. I know he has a ton of potential but I really have no idea how to play him. Do I just freeze the board for 2/3 turns until I can get an 11/11+ Righteous Protector? Or do I just play as normal and maybe score a handful of hats?

One time one of my opponents played Dancin' Deryl and stayed on tier 1 for the entire game. I can't remember if he made top 4 or not, but I remember he did much better than I thought he would.

The storm and all the alt heroes imply something to do with Lei Shen. Alternatively, this is Hearthstone's patented re-imagining of the area, like The Witchwood to Gilneas.
