after a completely abysmal performance of going 0-2 and then 1-2 and facing a lot of constructed decks (last opponent had Zed/Hecarim, no lie, and Hecarim straight on curve)...I turn to you guys for help or guidance. It just seems to me that drafting curve and synergy isn't enough and that there's quite a bit of rng/luck involved.....but then again I'm often completely wrong.
Help?
This is not a thinly veiled salt thread; I am legitimately asking for help, please do not downvote this thread.
For context, I usually play for 1-2 hours ranked (hovering at gold 3-4 ATM) every night. Lately, it seems like I've been getting wildly different results every night. Like yesterday: I had a quest to frost bite so I was playing my Frejlord/Noxus battle scar deck but I could get a win to save my life. Then I switched over to my SI/Noxus spider deck and went something like 4-2. Tonight, it's been the exact opposite: I had a fearsome quest, spiders couldn't get a win, but battle scars were on fire.
I just found it amusing that I'm getting practically polar opposite results over such a short time period. Anyone else experiencing anything like that?

just how it be.
some days your best meta constructed deck get smashed.
other days you go 7-0 with troll elnuk deck in expeditions.
Hi all, I'm a multiple-time Legend player in Hearthstone, just started playing LoR. I'm free to play. So far I have been enjoying it by trying to build decks with my small collection myself and sniping a few wins over more complete decks on low ladder. Though I have a really hard time deciding which cards and how many copies to include in my decks.
If anyone has similar HS background but have been in LoR for a longer, any general advice on how you have approached this game? E.g., which beginning Champions do you think are good (and fun)? I liked Braum and Jinx the most. Lux feels really weak. Any advice on how to build up your collection? Any cards to craft? What about expedition? I averaged 7 wins in Hearthstone Arena and that's where I started to build up my collection in HS. So I'm really interested in trying expedition, but any advice is welcome.
Cheers!
expedition is fun in this. if you want to smash more noobs, play as much as possible on Tues after reset (1 free token per week so most noobs to smash on Tue).
lots of good champions, all of them are fun. check mobalytics for meta decks.
this game is more skill based than hs. it takes a while to get used to the atk / block mechanics. knowing when to atk is v. important.
also - similar to hs - look up all spells for all regions, keep an eye on their mana, and know what spells to look out for when it looks like they are setting up a bad trade, likely it won't be a bad trade (although sometimes it is the correct play to play into it anyway and hope they don't have the answer)

Hey all. Anyone else still having connection issues?
I had problems last week when the patch dropped. These seemed to get better last saturday when I reinstalled via the amazon app. Logged in a bunch of times tonight and I'm getting the 'We ran into a network problem as we were loading up your cards...' message. Just tried to reinstall again but it's made no difference. Grr
It's immediately obvious you don't have a clue what you're talking about. You're putting all decks on the same level of brokenness as if decks were only divided into "fair" and "broken" and nothing in between. There's a reason why Darkest Hour Warlock isn't being yelled about everywhere as the most unfair thing in the history of the game. Cause the deck is not nearly consistent enough for that to be the case. There's a reason why Quest Mage hasn't been nerfed into the concrete yet and isn't 50% of the meta. Because there are enough decks out there it has a hard time against and it can lose even favourable matchups with a poor draw.
Half the decks and cards you'd want unnerfed are way above Darkest Hour highroll and Quest Mechalock that you seem to be putting on the same level. If you unnerfed Leeching Poison today, the entire meta would have to rebuild itself tomorrow because now value means nothing and you're either playing aggro or Kingsbane. Reno decks cease to exist while Kingsbane + Leeching poison is a thing. You unnerf Raza and you replace all control decks with exactly Raza Priest. It doesn't matter if the machine gun kills you next turn or 5 turns from now. Everything you play is now mincemeat because every card the Raza Priest plays comes packed with free removal. The free Dragons Raza Priest gets from Alex are now two extra pieces of removal to boot. The two one mana spells off of Spellkin? More machine gun ammo. If you have nothing on board to remove, it goes to your face (unlike Priest's usual removal options). You're dead within 4-5 turns in a control v control matchup. Hell, Spellkin alone takes 1/3rd of your starting health just on its own within one turn, not even including what potential effects the 1 mana spells have.
So no, Aviana, Raza, Kingsbane and Naga Sea Witch are not even in the same solar system as Darkest Hour and Genn/Baku (who even plays Genn and Baku anymore? Even Shaman is the last one holding the fort with any success) when it comes to power level.
I was always curious how to do the golden cards, so thanks!
The one I'm curious about is how to change the text of card tooltip? Example, make the text "Dr. 7" show the tooltip for Dr. Boom.
Use the regular card tooltip but add text="Insert your text here" inside the first bracket. So the first bracket would be card text="Dr. 7" in your case.
In my opinion, Elusives should be like Stealth in Hearthstone, if they deal damage, they should lose elusive keyword because after all regions reach elusive keyword, We will find ourselves in a meta with full of elusives with different variations.
It might seem a little problematic for elusive champions like Teemo/Ezreal at first but there is also another solution, Make Elusive keywords permanent for champions like how it is right now and give follower elusive units a text like "After I deal damage, I lose Elusive." or something like that.
There is also another problem with Kinkou Lifeblade. It should have a text like "After I deal damage, I heal your nexus for 2." instead of lifesteal
I like the idea of making Elusive more like HS Stealth. For units that need to be permanently stealthy, just make a new keyword, maybe Invisible.
If Elusive is changed as you suggest, Kinkou Lifeblade does not need any additional nerf.
And Ephemerals are a completely different story, but I don't think making them even more fragile is necessary at this time. (Your suggestion seems equivalent to nerfing their Health to 1, by the way. It doesn't need to be part of the keyword. That way, certain units could be exempted more easily.)
