So just played 2 games of marvel snap because I was stuck on a train.

1. Deck number 1 patriot mystique

2  deck number 2 cerebro

Effectively they are the same deck, they both provide aura buffs for units, or are "tribal" decks without any inherent synergies or intrigue beyond buff math because math wins

Even worse this is an evolution of the pool 1 Swarm decks that used blue marvel and Tarzan. But instead of having your big auras cost 5 and 6 they cost 3.

3 is better then 5.

Marvel snap is such an complicated and interesting game!

There's actually been quite a lot that's happened in 2022 so I'll just list them all at random that personally made an impact for me:

• Prince Renathal changed the game in such an epic way, loved playing those XL decks
• Zeddy was on form... this whole year. That's quite an accomplishment and I'd say he's probably broke now from all those giveaways
• Topior the Shrubbagazzor reveal. Haven't been so excited for a new legendary dragon since... Raid Boss Onyxia (oh wait she was released this year too right?)
• My deep hatred for Theotar, the Mad Duke and my shameful love for original Sire Denathrius

Oh and can't forget the continuously awesome site OoC and respectful community ✌

Agreed, we are slowly but steadily getting there.

The reroll feature does need more refinement though, because it rerolled my normal Lady Deathwhisper into a second copy of a normal The Scourge when I claimed the level 80 reward of the paid track. I did not realize beforehand it only offers cards from the same set. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess. It is strictly better if the reroll procedure (a) does not trigger, (b) show a warning about the intricate situation or (c) present the same card when a set is already completed.

Now I am stuck with the ugly signature card, unless I convince myself to use my arcane dust inefficiently to get her back.

Just hit level 70 on the free track. I've landed about 30% of the MotLK achievements so far, and I've maxed out all but 3 of my Mercenaries. 

I love the whole "reroll" feature; that was a great idea, and well implemented. 

Even the Battlegrounds rewards track is nice, they've mixed in free rewards with the paid stuff. 

Overall, I'd say Blizzard is handling rewards and progression quite well these days. 

I hate to be that guy but these takes are kinda hot garbage.

Pirate aggro was swinging around 60% winrate because killing opponents is better then not killing opponents.

Vayne has seen similar sucess with Atrox because he's a big boy with regen that gets to equip and attack for free with Vayne (aka killing the opponent)

Hallowed will continue to do hallow things present on curve threats that deny removal value.

So the best counter decks in the meta inevitable will be able to deal with small to medium sized threats while staying alive.

Does that mean that there aren't any other control decks worth playing?

No you can play sundisc for sure, you could probably make Ionia work, different shadow isles brews, P and Z is nuts, Bandle and Freijord got hard buffed.

So really the only hot Take that matters is would you rather be the one doing the killing with whatever is the top aggro or midrange deck or do you want to be the one doing the living by effectively building slower counter decks.

Thanks for the warning. I had already dusted most of them.  I was going to keep 2 copies of the commons I had lots of, the Priest legendary, and the DH epics. I had 15k dust so I wasnt hurting. But after thinking about it I dusted everything but the 2 copies of commons.

I'd love to have a new comp season, but of course the personal life of the organizers comes first.

Regarding the changes to the voting system, I think I'd prefer to wait only if the halt for this reason isn't too long. I'd also like to join Aero in their question about doing a season while the new system is being developed. I guess this should be possible as long as there are different people involved in both development and comp organizing, as it would probably take too much time otherwise (and as I said, personal time always comes first).

Finally, I don't care too much about big comps, but I'd probably participate if there's ever one.

I finally made it to legend in December 2022, and my in my final game I used a randomly generated Objection to counter my opponent's Sire Denathrius. Felt good to put the Sire in his place and get my card back.

The Axlotl is now in my nightmares. So thanks for that. Though I do love the art for the warrior one that makes an axe, amazing.

Love a lot of the buffs you gave out. Especially a fan of Hir'eek, the Bat as he is one of my favorite cards. The cards you added are quite fun too. I love Meteor Shower and We Will Rock you! is the best named card ever! With the Archmage I love the idea of turning spellpower into something else (mana, armor, minions, draw or whatever). It's a cool untapped aspect that I have no doubt Blizzard will do and this is a great idea of how to do it.

I got lucky and opened Valkyrie just now and C3r3bro deck worked wonders for me as it had not only shang chi but also valkerie to counter hulks, or i can even just play the cerebro mystique combo into gamma lab atlater turn while feeling other locations and winning the other two instead

The only problem is that series 5 card valkyrie is required for this deck

My favorite moment was honestly the release of events in the client. I love these events and the rewards that come with them.

My most tickling moment was nobody bringing Death Knight, even though it was unbannable.
