I don't usually do card change opinion posts but now I felt like commenting (i.e. mostly complaining about) some of them. Please bear in mind that my experience is mostly based on low rank PvP and expeditions so I might be a bit off the loop regarding actually good decks.
Yasuo requiring 5 stuns/recalls instead of 6: Maybe I've been unlucky so far but my opponents have generally had (too) little difficulties leveling up Yasuo so I personally didn't see this as necessary.
Jeweled Protector buffed to 4/4 from 3/3: I felt the stat/effect ratio was already fair so another one I can't understand. Not to mention that I see the card enabling the fun and interactive Elusive strategies (although probably not the most aggressive ones), which definitely didn't need further help.
Deny to cost 4: Very expected and appreciated change. It's still going to hurt every time you face it though.
Kinkou Lifeblade nerfed to 2/2: Interestingly the only direct Elusive nerf. Definitely the right target though, maybe now it can be killed more easily and Elusive decks will have to sacrifice units to block stuff instead of rolling on the back of Lifeblade's heals.
I also like Rhasa the Sunderer and Commander Ledros changes, especially if I understand the new rounding up rule correctly. Didn't have strong feelings about other card changes, so I guess they count as good for me.
Basically you're putting this card as a free 2/1. Kobold Sandtrooper, assuming its not silenced, objectively does more damage while putting the same body on board for the same mana.
I run 3 copies of it in my elusives deck. It's one of the best surprise attacks that no one expects.
I'm saying if you have a board set up to play a 6 mana card and then a 3 mana card, you're probably curb stomping your opponent.
or maybe you just spent your last turn setting up smaller minions. This ain't Hearthstone, minions actually stick around for more than a turn if you don't just burn them as block fodder
I'm fairly certain Elusive decks are still going to be busted, but at the very least now you don't get completely screwed over when they curve Inspiring Mentor into Greenglade Duo
Taking XP out of Expeditions and putting into the later grinding sessions of PvP wins screws over those of us who don't play enough each week. I play my one Expedition a week, plus a couple games a day; I'll never hit the full grinding session required to make up for the loss.
Admittedly it's not a huge amount by any stretch, but it will add up and cause people like me to get outpaced sooner :/
the nerfs I predicted were almost on point.. forgot to mention back to back which I though was needing a nerf as well.. I really like the buffs they did. only hit Scuttlegeist as a buff target (but not the buff itself) and Lux which I was right about her not showing up enough to get buffed..
Deny was a no brainer prediction.. but I thought they would do something else rather than a mana cost change.
Inspiring Mentor - @cursed parrot predicted the nerf well also it makes the most sense.. I stated an overnerf to the card.
Kinkou Lifeblade - ye I was right about it being a nerf target and one of the nerfs.
Commander Ledros - almost, didn't predict the rounding nerf (there's a thread asking for it..), and didn't expect the small buff.
Looking forward to try the newly buffed cards now :D
Also thanks for the mod who changed the title, I made a mistake in calling it just changes.. those were predictions mostly to see which will happen and which won't..
I'm playing on a Win10 laptop, and even then I've crash out of the client maybe once a week. Usually it's at that first full size splash screen after login, but it did happen once in match which was especially annoying. It seems worse when the laptop is trying to do other things--e.g., antivirus is prompting me to resubscribe.
I assume you've already tried obvious things like dialing back the display quality and quitting all other nonessential processes?
There are two things affecting braum, one gives him -1 attack, and the other gives +1 attack. Therefore, he has 0 attack. I don't see what the problem is.
The problem was entirely user error. I assumed since the skitterer hit first and Braum showed a "0" in the bottom left corner that his effect had run its course with no net effect--e.g., how it would have worked if he'd played an Icevale Archer to my Braum and then I buffed it later in my turn. The difference there is that frostbite is always a -X buff where X is the attack at the instant the effect is applied (i.e., can never go net negative) so you're never "in the hole" whereas skitterer's effect obviously can.
There isn't at all, assuming you're reading analytically rather than just looking to snipe. I stated clearly that it was an anecdotal example. The difference between this and the earlier instance is that the earlier post gave no real argument or context - just gave an anecdote and said 'this is why it needs to change'. That's attempting to use an anecdote as evidence, which is worthless.
My use-case was purely as an example to better explain what I was saying. It wasn't intended to be supporting evidence - which is why I called out the anecdote myself, twice - it was purely to make it clear what point I was trying to make. By calling it out I was attempting to make it clear that I wasn't trying to hang any point on it, but apparently that was unsuccessful.
Incidentally, the anecdote itself was raised purely in the context of the Fearsome tag and whether removing it makes trades more or less interesting. It wasn't connected to the rest of the card, and wasn't used to make any point in relation to the burn effect or similar. Again, thought that was obvious from the discussion.
I'm not looking to snipe - I just think you're treating your own arguments with a double-standard. I think franky's goal with an anecdote was to demonstrate how significant Ledros' burn damage can be - it, combined with Fearsome, literally flipped a game from a loss to a win by dealing 16 damage in a single turn despite being way behind on the board. You don't have to agree with the argument that the burn damage is the biggest problem with the card, but your anecdote is not somehow unique or better than franky's simply because you like your point of view better.
Your argument around blocking basically says that giving your opponent card advantage and extra burn tools doesn't matter if you're ahead enough on board and can get lethal before your opponent can react/burn you out. This is certainly true, and is the basic thesis for why aggro decks work. But this case requires board-centric play (which clearly doesn't always win you the game, as per franky's example), and it certainly doesn't address the way that the direct damage can be a death knell for anyone trying to play a slower, more controlling strategy that might otherwise beat the common Aggro + Ledros decks in the metagame but for his inevitable burn damage (which was the my complaint with the card to begin with).
Again, I'm willing to believe that removing the Fearsome tag could shift the metagame such that his inevitable long-game lethal will be made less oppressive by simply seeing less of him on the ladder, but his burn is non-trivial and suppressing in his current state.
There are two things affecting braum, one gives him -1 attack, and the other gives +1 attack. Therefore, he has 0 attack. I don't see what the problem is.
You're absolutely correct, but having archetypes like fearsome being so dominate discourages the majority of people from experimenting. I think we might actually see Noxus open up a little bit when Ionia and SI get toned down.

I believe we're less than 30 minutes from finding out--so excited!
Attack power can go negative :-(

It doesn't, but nice try! ;)
Attack power can go negative :-(
The real question is whether a minion with negative attack heals the enemy it is attacking or not.
Legends of Runeterra Concept Art Spotlight - Ionia
correct, patch notes in 1 hour and a half more or less if riot keep the same time of last patch.
Commander Ledros ought to round down
Just make him into Exodia and have him require 10 regular mana and 3 spell mana and have him take the enemy nexus to 1 HP
