Probably not a winning design, but I wanted to try my hand at making a better Dr. Boom's Scheme. Obviously this is a much more playable card (because... anything would be more playable than the actual Scheme card), but it also has a flavor more in line with Dr Boom's personality.
I can understand not using the same name as Dr. Boom's Scheme, although the naming still seems a bit off. It also would probably make more sense to use the RoS watermark when you're making a Scheme card, and I don't think Boom Bot needs to be bolded.
Besides that though, this is a pretty nice card that definitely should've been what Dr. Boom's Scheme was. I quite like it.
These are the two cards I've made so far; the Scheme existed already from a similar theme in the past:
I think the Priest could have badly used more Lackey synergy to make it viable, while Sylvanas' Scheme might be too late to help Deathrattle Hunter make a comeback, but damn if it isn't gonna try.
We're happy to announce that Card Design Competitions now have their own system on the site! This has been a long time coming and this is just the first iteration of the system. Expect more from us in this realm in the future.
You can always find open card design competitions on the Fan Creations Portal.
A list of competitions will also always be available on the competitions listing.

When I am posting a card, what is a good size to make it so that it doesn't fill up the whole screen? Or is it a good size as it is?
I prefer the size of Demon's card, which is 250x358 or something like that. 250 x (whatever) is a perfectly fine size.
As for commentary on the card, I'm not a fan of the two options being so off-kilter. Either you high-roll a well-statted Rush minion, or you pay 4 mana for a vanilla 3/3. If you're relying on randomness to rein in the card's balance, the two options should at least be equivalent in power.
Under Description, is that where we put the literal card description? Or?
This could have been better communicated. It is a spot for you to leave an optional description for your entry. We don't have a spot for inputting the card text itself though that would be a good improvement.
You do realize that change was COMPLETELY unrelated to the point you attempted (and failed miserably) at making?
Expeditions were hit. They changed how normal wins work to compensate for that. It's probably a healthier approach since we're going to get to a point eventually where not everyone can just do 3 expeditions a week and get by like that. And that's... literally it. It has nothing to do with this topic. At all.
But by all means, keep living in your delusions where your comments actually make sense, I would hate to take that away from you.
EDIT: Good lord, you even saw fit to edit the patch notes that do nothing to address the point you failed to make in the first post.
Were you on Kitchen Nightmares? That's the only other place I've ever seen this level of delusion.
You and me both. I think the ship has sailed on casuals v hardcores having relatively comparable collection sizes--but you already got way further ahead if you were exhausting your wildcard buys every week anyways, so I'm not sure it really matters in the big picture.
The big question now is: can you still be competitive with a smaller collection? Signs so far point to yes--they're extremely generous with the common and rare wildcards, and most competitive decks so far are ~70-90% commons and rares--but we won't know for sure until the meta matures.
Just watched the video and can say that the proposal is kinda alright and should deserve full support. The changes to the daily rewards is particularly clever, since it awards packs not gold, and therefore it does not provide an incentive to hoard gold for the new expansion, and instead pressure players to pre-order instead. You can still get more than 100 packs eventually, but that is within the span of the expansion (around 4 months) assuming you pick packs over gold.
I think blizzard should pay attention to the poll numbers. The current system is going nowhere. Those who will not spend, will just not spend. So a fresh change might get us somewhere, even if it only makes the game more fun for those with smaller wallets.
Who is “we” in the original post? To me it souns like written by someone who wants to sound better.
Its Bot mathematician and holomancer. If you watch their videos (which I recommend) the two of them makes the presentation, hence the use 'we'. I assume that's why the post uses the same term.
I think Riot is woefully accepting that some players are just going to zealously devote themselves to lapping up every single XP point they can regardless of how they try to discourage them via diminishing the returns.
How long did it take for HS between official launch and first set?
Four months. Open beta started January 21, 2014; launched March 11, 2014; launched "Curse of Naxxramas" July 22, 2014.
dont you think the game will become stagnant if they take 3 months after launch to make a new expac? maybe a month after the launch but 3?
the players will be bored if they take all that time.
I'm guessing OGs like us might be getting a little stir-crazy by then, but keep in mind that ostensibly right now is just a beta period and that the player base could potentially grow at launch, especially if they are successful at introducing mobile at launch. This report claims that >70% of digital card game players play on smartphones.
LoR doesnt promotes skill since it has a meta like Hs and you need that decks and cards and you need a point of begining if you want grind for f2p cards. if your point of beginning (example the evasive burn deck) got nerfed and you got 0 refunds for that nerf it feels bad to play it and you have no shards and not enough wildcards to craft another deck. so what you can do? pay? no you have a pay limit each week.. your only way is to play a nerfed deck and that never feels good...
And skill is not grinding exp with a bad deck... skill is winning more with a full collection as other players with that same collection.
and last but not least if you play since naxx why do you need to craft cards? you has managed your resources bad. I have friends in Hs they play only f2p and never do grinding full 100g and forget sometimes do quests and they are sometimes top 100 when i play less and am top 200-500 so f2p in Hs is possible.
and for your Zentimo fail:
Zentimo in Galakrond warri was played after the first nerf if you are dumb enough to craft it for a deck that was nerfed and is still powerfull on a time when everyone know that another nerf wave will arrive sometimes its your fault.
Hearthstone's first expansion was Curse of Naxxramas, released in July 2014. i guess you right maybe i overreacting a bit HS launched in march by the way.
I play since naxx lol, I have a large collection, but it still feels like a scam every time I craft anything.
I don't think spending 130 bucks every 3 months is ok.
LoR promotes the skill of players above their ability to spend money on the game.
My other big problem is that I cna't recomend my friends to play the game cause they are not dumb enough to fall into thsi spending trap.. sorry not everyone have that much spare money...
your problem and the problem of alle the other rank 50 players here is that you dont see this:
and let me say it again... You Spent fucking 130-250 bucks per expansion have gold from doing all quests every 3 days and a little bit from winning to grinding legend and then you have everything from that expansion.
in DoD i preoderd both bundles and had 9k gold and i have every card my only missing legendary is Murozond and he is bad.
So WHY craft cards for decks that get nerfed? Who needs something like crafting cards? much better is i dont disentchanted duplicates after DoD release and dissed only what got nerfed. i also crafted Golden Alex and golden Kronx before Pack opening because i have so much dust. and Why i have that? because i am paying? Yes and because i am Smart and i dont click the disentchant button.
and again if you dont spend money on another games that have paid Content 130bucks every 4 month are okay for a game you love.
if you have started Hs in middle of a year and try grinding shit from previous expansions thats hard for sure but you can then play Arena and wait for rotation. or buy packs... but thats not blizzards fault it is your fault for beginning a game in a late state.
and more balance changes is another topic that noobs crie for you have never a stable and good meta if so much changes happen in short time like now.. it is bad for a game from a Good player perspective to dont have a meta that sttles never you need that stable meta to progress better. but that too much for you i know so i leav that here and hope blizz never hears to stupid noobs that never reached legend more than one time...

Unintentional announcement of season/expansion schedule?
It's definitely too long for the people willing to buy cards, but it's plenty of time for free players. I'd prefer a drip feed over big expansions.

Seriously? Who doesn't want to pay over $10 for one card (that you can craft anyway) and get to play a mode that should be free to begin with???
