I mean... I'm not playing hardcore either, this past week was the first one I'd bothered to do anything but play Expedition to get my quests done, yet I have multiple competitive decks. Get a level 10+ vault each week, be decent at expedition and spend your wild cards wisely, you'll be fine
Ignoring the debate about the OP's sanity, I think the patch changes to XP were pretty much spot-on. For the past 2 weeks, I've slowly been feeling pressured into grinding out as many expeditions as possible due to the high bonus XP rewards. This has actually diminished my enthusiasm to try playing constructed. Now I might just invest a bit more time into building and playing my own decks.
I'd actually appreciate a slower rate of expansion releases, too. It keeps the card pool from becoming overwhelming, especially for new players, but even for some folks like me. When I build a deck, I don't netdeck, I don't just search for cards the meta considers 'strong' - I look over each and every card and take at least a moment to consider whether it fits my deck strategy. Doing that in Hearthstone these days is nigh impossible (although the Standard format helps with this, I guess).
Also, there seem to be a ton of interesting deck archetypes which are at least semi-viable, so that coupled with playing Expeditions will surely keep me hooked enough to wait a couple of months for a new set.
Commander Ledros - almost, didn't predict the rounding nerf (there's a thread asking for it..), and didn't expect the small buff.
There was no rounding nerf - he still rounds up, but now it's explicitly stated in the card text. Oops - looks like I actually read it wrong. I thought the damage done to the nexus was rounded up, not the remaining nexus health. I don't think it makes much of a difference either way.
I'm mostly happy with the patch changes, although I have a feeling that Rhasa and Ledros will still be stupid strong.
Was also very surprised at the hefty buff to Jeweled Protector - total stats of 7/7 for 5 mana seems a bit crazy (I would've reduced the hand buff to +2/+3, myself). I might just pick him back up for my control deck.
I will mention that I love a lot of the changes and fixes outside of balancing, but that's a matter for a different thread.
Shudderwock can continue it's battlecries after dying, or getting transformed. So why shouldn't Yogg-Saron, Hope's End be able to continue casting spells? and to top that off Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron is literally a (more) reliable Yogg, and you can have multiple copy's of it in your deck....
Another first time participant here :-) I'm really excited! Could someone please explain to me how to add images to this thread, though? What am I to enter into the "source" field?
Edit: Since it's my first try, feedback would be really appreciated. Here are some of my thoughts about the card: I'm currently enjoying JambaJooze's Wild Aggro Quest Mage. That made me want to create a cheap Mage spell generator which obviously screams RENO!! in the Year of the Dragon narrative. "Genius" is a reference to Reno ;-) Twinspell further helps completing the quest, so that was my keyword. There was a cool piece of art with Reno holding the Gatling Gun, but I decided against it in favor of the scrolls because the generated spells are added to your hand and not cast. The hardest part was balancing the card. Arcane Intellect draws 2 for 3, but those are not random. So I went with Tome of Intellect for reference and extrapolated. The downside of the spells being random was heavy enough for me to not increase the cost of the card by 1 for the twinspell-tag, but that surely is debateable. In the end, this card heavily supports Open the Waygate, Raid the Sky Temple and Learn Draconic. It also gives Casino Mage one more toy for the early game.
Edit 2: Oh dear. I have never played Raid the Sky Temple and wasn't aware of the fact that I used its art for my card. Just randomly got it from an art site. I'll just show myself out.
I think Oasis Surger is not a problem since it is not neutral. But the abundance of strong neutral minions (some even have evasive and divine shield) with rush can lead to games where the board is empty most of the time (say from turn 2-6) at the start of the turn. Then the big minions start to come in which can not be removed by rush and then the real game starts. I think this is also the reason we see a lot of token decks now, since your normal statted on-curve minion will just be removed by a rush minion. So you try to go wide, and then the Faceless Corruptor comes in handy.
It's ok I got like 10 other decks I can play one month in, in hs you maybe have another deck if you disenchant the nerfed deck.
Also the deck is still VERY playable, so 1. it's not a bad deck and 2. I am not stuck with it because I have more resources.
You missed my point about promoting skill and deck building skills, if most players have full collection or near full collection (which is a realistic goal in LoR and an unrealistic one in HS), you are tested by your ability to build decks (or copy them.. I guess) and pilot/adjust them to the meta in HS you want to tech in Harrison Jones? great pay 1600 dust for it (I have all classic cards it's just an example).
Did Blizzard communicate about galakround shaman getting nerfed AGAIN? I don't think so.. also the deck looked very fun I would craft it if not for the fact Zentimo is rotating out... that sort of nerfing is quite dumb as well Shaman isn't seen at all right now..
In conclusion my point is that refunds are bad for the game if you have better economy to begin with you don't need them, I appreciate Riot's point of view much more than Blizzard's.
Best of luck to everyone! And great job on the website design for the competitions!

Welcome aboard, Xarkkal. Always nice to see new faces in these competitions.
I voted 4 stars for your card. It's a beautiful, elegantly simple card that only loses a star because it seems a bit overpowered as a premium statted 4-drop with two pretty useful abilities.
Thanks for the warm welcome and feedback! I was feeling it was a little too overpowered. After submitting it, I started thinking that I should have made him a 4/3. But at the same time,

They didn't take that much XP out of Expeditions. If you were only playing one per week, you'll barely notice the difference. You can make up for it with just a few constructed wins. I certainly wouldn't call it a "full grinding session."
Also, people who wanted to outpace you were already doing so by grinding endless Expeditions, where there was never a daily or weekly XP cap. The difference now is that you have a choice of what mode to play if you want to grind infinite XP.
In the end everyone will have all regions unlocked and it won't matter at all.
These are the two cards I've made so far; the Scheme existed already from a similar theme in the past:
I think the Priest could have badly used more Lackey synergy to make it viable, while Sylvanas' Scheme might be too late to help Deathrattle Hunter make a comeback, but damn if it isn't gonna try.
To repeat what I said on Discord, I loveForsaken Harbinger. Sylvanas' Scheme might be a bit scary, although Hunters usually like to play fast and not hold their cards very long, so that might balance it.
Decided to make a villainous sidequest, in this case Warlock healing that requires you to damage yourself first. Not sure how the power level is but thought it was an interesting concept.
The thing is if this could only target minions, then it's just Hagatha's scheme but a lot worse. I get that the design is a bit edgy, but I was trying to think of what hadn't been done yet with Schemes and what else could be, and face damage is what I came up with.
As for the watermark... I forgot to change it, and that it was even there. I haven't used a cardmaker in a while. :P
It's going to take five turns to reach a Fireball level, but it's also in a class that would LOVE the reach. I'm not a fan of you "printing" such a card, because I think it's the wrong way for the Hunter to go, but taken at face value I guess it's okay as it is cost-wise. Maybe if it said "to a minion", it would be less scary.
All of that being said, it should not have the Classic watermark.

Daily rewards too powerful compared to normal play

Unintentional announcement of season/expansion schedule?

There is potential for this to be dangerous, although Hunter doesn't really like to hold its cards for very long unless it needs to.
Probably also shouldn't use the Classic watermark if it's a Scheme card.
