Wow. Damn. Nightmare Amalgam being gone from Battlegrounds is huge; also, Shaman's nerfs are big. Will they be as destructive as they seem? We will see.
First off, powerful effects are fun. Second, people only started talking about this change after Shaman had gotten its time in the sun (Desert Hare Evolve stuff) when the mechanic had been around forever. And lastly this makes evolve effects and their ilk less friendly to new players by making the effects less obvious on the cards.
It just seems like a needless change all the way down.
Well you are bringing data and I'm telling you that your data is not from a good source. As of the reason why you should include corrupt the waters in your deck i think I've already explained myself. You should include it because it sinergizes with every single card in your deck, is completed for free at turn 5-6 with a deck which is virtually battlecry minions only.
If the point is exhausting enemy board clears, having twice the board presence every turn means more pressure, means they can't afford to hold their boarclears as much as they would otherwise.
What I'm expecting is for this version of galakrond shaman is gonna leave place for the quest one as soon as people figure out that the anti synergy between the quest and galakrond changing the hero power is neglegible if you just hold galakrond for the invokes and use it for its battlecry late game.
Could mark the starting point for some big mechanic changes. Cust reduction and the way following cards interact have been non consistent since the beta (another example here is the holy wrath/shirvallah interaction)
I also noticed that this sometimes happens with single player treasures that reduce the cost of cards, e.g. a minion that costs 1 less because of some Bob's discount will keep costing 1 less even after it was played, including evolve effects. Don't really know why this isn't in the real game though.
Yeah I played another brawl game and checked - when you drop a discounted minion it shows "on the board" with its real cost, not the discounted cost. So Lord Godfrey definitely had a face cost of 7 on the board when I hit it with the lackey and got a 3 cost minion instead.
I don't have any friends online right now to test in a normal game, so hopefully someone can test (or we'll just find out tomorrow I suppose).
This deck is amazing. I didn't have Dragonbane so I replaced it with a second Misdirection. I also decided to take out Spider Bomb for a second Tracking because I figured it was just to good in a deck like this.
I got from rank 9 to rank 5 with a 83% w/r after 18 games in around only two hours. I actually didn't see a lot of shamans, the most prominent class was Hunter. I guess everybody understood that Shaman loses bad to Hunters and maybe we didn't need the nerfs after all (please nobody kill me).
Details on Upcoming Card Nerfs & Battlegrounds Changes - December 19 Patch Notes
Faceless Corruptor got away with just -1 attack? It will still see a lot of play, having 2 4/4's with rush for 5 mana is still pretty OP.
Same as Sludge Slurper.
Not enough nerfs imo, shaman will still dominate.

THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
I can't figure out why people want this change.

16.0.5 Update
Disappointing to say the least
16.0.5 Update
Underwhelming nerfs that again don't address some of the major issues.
16.0.5 Update
Didn't see it posted yet, so I thought I'd mention it here.

The Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl Returns!
Ironbeak Owl, to silence the treasure on your side.
THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
Hopefully this is true.

THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
I just played a cheaper Sea Giant with Mutate and...
It didn't work :((((((

THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
If i remember correctly, this always was the case at this specifical brawl.
THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
yeah, it did feel a bit obvious with the whole "the crowd cheers" bit.
THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
Someone will have to test this to see if this is just a brawl exclusive thing.
THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
That would be a VERY welcome change.
[Legend] Leprosy SMOrc Hunter

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
I had a feeling that was going to be the first guess lol
Wrong, but good guess
THEY CHANGED EVOLVE!!!
I do hope it is real.
At that point they could also unnerf Conjurer's Calling.
Blood Warriors
Whenever I come across that card I can't help but regret I hadn't known of HS back in the good, old days of the ALLMIGHTY OLD GODZZZ! :)
