This expansion, this card will probably not see play. Simply because there are too many Dragon Decks. But I think if next year is another powerspike, this might be used to give a massive tempo advantage.
Of all classes, paladin is not the worse to get this card, but no the best either.
ANd yes, truth that in shaman, or god forbid, druid, this card would be insane. But currently, ever since baku and genn rotated, token paladin isn't a big thing. Who knows, may this is what's missing.
quite a pretty troll card. The only way this can be useful is if your up against an advance Hero power, and even then it’s kinda pushing it to pay an extra 2 mana just to use your opponent’s Hero power for 1 turn .
İt was Reworked for a 3 Mana 2/5 and if it was “until it dies” then sure, it would have easily been 4 stars, but for 1 turn means that it’s a 4 Mana “Use an Advanced Hero Power for 1 turn”.
Never has a 1 drop pirate not seen play, and one with these good stats and specific card generation is just insane. you dont even have to run it an all out pirate deck. Any mid range deck will love to have this card as an opener.
Pirate warrior now has a chance to be a thing thanks to this card. If the damage it provides wans't enough, 5 health asures that it will live more than 1 turn, while clearing the board/hitting face.
Saboteur was a 3-mana 4-/3 that had the exact same effect but made the hero power cost 5 more instead of 3, and was a Rare card instead of an Epic. Wasted opportunity for a good Epic card, and I’d rather use Saboteur from the Grand Tournament any day than this card.
It's just playable. Warrior galacron doesnt give you board presence, so any invoke cards that don't have a body attached must pressure for the win, like the invoke weapon warrior has. buuuuut, since Frothing Berserker is still a card, I'll hold my expectations on this card.
Supercollider caught may players of-guard for how good it was, mainly due to its intimidation factor, since you equiped it, attacked and still had 2 charges to warn off any minion play from your opponent. This is a one time Possible removal, warrior as many of those, cheaper and better.
this paladin only class card deck sound insane on paper, and I hope it actually is, but it will need another strategy build into it. And by the looks of this card, it needs to be a control strategy. Two that come to mind are higlander (you play this after you get zephyrs and alextraza from deck) or maybe just full out control. But who knows, won't dismiss the idea just yet
Of course it is good, why wouldnt it be good? But maybe, maybe, its too good. twin spells are still a thing, as is magic trick, mana cyclone and the new 1 mana elemental that gives arcane missiles.
In theory, you could play this for 0 mana turn 2, with aprentice - ray of frost(x4) - magic trick(x2) - random 1 manas from magic trick - elemental invocation - arcane missiles from 1 drop -mana cyclone - random 1 drop spells you got from mana cyclone.
And it doesn't even sound like an impossible scenario. I've done similar things in the first 4 turns of the game many times.
I swear to god, they are so desperate in trying to nerf sorcerers apprentice. between a quest that summons a dragon, a legendary that summons elementals, mana cyclone and an absurd amount of 1 mana spell, two of which generate more 1 mana spells, the common agressor is just apprentice, and she will be prsecuted with torches and pitchforks by the community.
I for once welcome the mob (been acummulating extra copies of aprentice since Ungoro quest times)
Mage already has good card draw mechanics. Elemental chaining was always awkward and hard to achieve in ungoro. We now have less good elementals, no fire fly and not that many curve minion chains. Besides, this does not draw right away. If you want to draw you don't wait 2 turns for it.
Any removal card that can punish both wide boards or big minions (volcano as a prime example) will ALWAYS be prevalent in the meta and a prime tool on control decks. This is no exception.
Didn't we ditch recruit mechanic 6 expansions ago?
It's not that big druid wasn't a good deck, but Yasha'rash and other big guys were key for the deck. We dont have enough big minions worth of this deck right now.
Of all the treant cards we have, this might be the worse one. At this point we have enough token generation, any more is unecessary, so maybe use this slot for other cards that might better complement the deck. Dendrologist comes to mind, as well as Stalardis
i feel like battle mage is no good for this deck same with albatross, also you have 3 blessing of might...maybe 2 raid leaders and loatheb
Thanks, mate! I totally forgot Loatheb (added). While I understand that Bad Luck Albatross may not be that good, I look forward to try this tech in some odd lists to shut Reno decks. And Raid Leader despite being really good, usually doesn’t make the cut in wild lists anymore. Put a Brazen Zealot instead, since it’s a reliable 1 drop that can snowball pretty hard sometimes.
Even if your were to talk about the new paladin class cards deck, you would not play this. Every class has horrible cards, and playing this just to counter bombs or corrupted blood is not worth enough.
Even arena won't like it that much, you did pick those neutral cards for some reason.
Utgarde Grapplesniper

New Paladin Spell - Righteous Cause

New Warrior Minion - Sky Raider
Never has a 1 drop pirate not seen play, and one with these good stats and specific card generation is just insane. you dont even have to run it an all out pirate deck. Any mid range deck will love to have this card as an opener.
New Warrior Minion - Skybarge
Pirate warrior now has a chance to be a thing thanks to this card. If the damage it provides wans't enough, 5 health asures that it will live more than 1 turn, while clearing the board/hitting face.
It's back, pirate warrior came back to standart.
New Warrior Weapon - Ritual Chopper
Can pirate Malacron warrior be a thing? if yes, it's because of this weapon. Warrior didn't got many invoke cards, nor were they good.
Blowtorch Saboteur
Saboteur was a 3-mana 4-/3 that had the exact same effect but made the hero power cost 5 more instead of 3, and was a Rare card instead of an Epic. Wasted opportunity for a good Epic card, and I’d rather use Saboteur from the Grand Tournament any day than this card.

Skyfin
Incredibly nice “bat-ish”, “demon-ish” and dragonlike art. But it´s a murloc. Could have almost been Amalgam 2.0 if not for the name.

New Warrior Spell - Ramming Speed
Supercollider caught may players of-guard for how good it was, mainly due to its intimidation factor, since you equiped it, attacked and still had 2 charges to warn off any minion play from your opponent. This is a one time Possible removal, warrior as many of those, cheaper and better.
New Warlock Spell - Rain of Fire
Historically, 1 damage aoe spells were only played for two reasons: as an activator (warrior) or had a small cheap body attached to it (shaman)
This is kinda neither, and warlock as access to way better cards.
New Mage Minion - Mana Giant
Say on turn 2 with coin you have 6 cards in your hand + coin. If these are apprentice/ray-of-frost x2/giant/magic-trick/elemental invocation
If the ray-of-frost twinspells indeed are considered new then you can do it on turn 2 if you discover a 1 mana spell.
Bummer you then have to wait until turn 4 to do a conjurer's calling on it :) Might be better to wait until turn 3 then lol.
I am sure this card will create some rage quits here and there.
New Paladin Minion - Lightforged Zealot
This is really that type of cards that has everything to be great, as long as the deck that uses it is good too.
Unlike the epic card, this one can be more agressive, so maybe with an aggro/secret package this might see play
New Paladin Minion - Lightforged Crusader
this paladin only class card deck sound insane on paper, and I hope it actually is, but it will need another strategy build into it. And by the looks of this card, it needs to be a control strategy. New Druid Spell - Aeroponics
Jebus that's a really strong effect for a deck that can generate more than 3 treants in almost every topdeck!
And treant deck, is basicly an aggro token deck. you dont give those decks card draw, much less for 0 mana!
This is just meta defining.
[DoD] Odd Corruptor Paladin
Thanks, mate! I totally forgot Loatheb (added). While I understand that Bad Luck Albatross may not be that good, I look forward to try this tech in some odd lists to shut Reno decks. New Neutral Minion - Wyrmrest Purifier
Even if your were to talk about the new paladin class cards deck, you would not play this. Every class has horrible cards, and playing this just to counter bombs or corrupted blood is not worth enough.
Even arena won't like it that much, you did pick those neutral cards for some reason.
New Druid Spell - Embiggen
In one hand, Prince Keleseth imidiatly comes to mind, and it's power level.
On the other hand, Surrender to Madness never really worked.
This does cost 0 mana, so maybe that's what separates it from Surrender to Madness.
If you can make your deck good enought to curve out 1 mana later, than this can be meta defining
