Can you destroy your own minion to remove them from your opponents deck?

    I would think so yes.

That's how I read it too. Definitely you can target your own minion (or else the text would say "destroy an enemy minion"). I'd assume "wherever they are" means "on either side of the battlefield or in either deck".

(Not in the graveyard, though--I'd assume minions that died on the battlefield, either from this card play or earlier, would still be in the dead pool and available for rezzing.)

I also feel this card is too slow. But it's effect is very strong nonetheless

  • New Neutral Minion - Zul'Drak Ritualist

This card isn't that bad, it can always be combo'd with an AoE, or your board with Acolyte of Pain or such. And 9 health Taunt is hard to push through when played early.

  • New Warlock Minion - Valdris Felgorge

The effect looks outrageous, but I'm not sure if the increased hand size is actually relevant. You still need to draw like mad to keep your hand full or play one card at a time and all that just do discount a mountain giant or play a huge demon. I'm not entirely certain of the intended direction for handlock in the future, but it sure seems interesting.

    probably tomorrow

  • New Paladin Spell - Sanctuary

Hmmm .. 2 mana 3/6 taunt looks very good, BUT .. you will want this against aggros, right? You can avoid damage for one damn turn against these "decks"? Sure ..

  • Abyssal Summoner

Fairly interesting card.  Obviously pushing the big hand Warlock archetype.  Perhaps enough support is there to make it work

  • Flik Skyshiv

1 Mana 4/4 with extra benefit.  Seems really good actually

  • New Warlock Cards - Valdris Felgorge & Abyssal Summoner

So warlock get support on 3 archetype eh.. galakrond zoo, 12 handlock, and a nether dragon that has yet to be revealed. I hope DoD can bounce warlock back in to action.

  • Valdris Felgorge

Very interesting effect.  Very curious to see if it will see play

  • New Neutral Minion - Zul'Drak Ritualist

I think its a good tech card against ressurrect .. but I don't know, the 1 drops can be really annoying and really help the opponent ..

This a 6 star card it will be in every rogue deck till it rotates.

Aggro Rogue will not run this card. Killing the opponent before turn 6 means this card is useless ;)

Get few Lackeys, your hand is going to get full fast :)

This means the Hero takes no damage right, or minions too? Seems pretty easy to complete, so it's basically a 2 mana 3/6 Taunts, which is good value.

Should be you only, so minions can take damage.

In normal circumstances this SQ is faster then the other ones revealed so far, and the payoff is good enough. I think this will see play in decks that have room to run it.

  • New Warlock Minion - Valdris Felgorge

This seems like it goes in every single archetype of warlock.

  • New Warlock Minion - Abyssal Summoner

Repost from the news thread, as I meant to post here for the giveaway...

Abyssal Summoner is kind of meh. To be worth it, you'd probably need at least five cards in hand, and you're probably not really excited about this card until you've got 7 or 8 other cards in hand. That's probably only happening once you get all your "Giant Handlock" win conditions lined up, so this feels like a very late game 6-drop that's hard to be super excited about.

  • New Rogue Minion - Flik Skyshiv

This is incredible. A 6 mana 4/4 kill a minion is pretty powerful. It destroys shudderwock shamans, it stops your opponent from getting four copies of [Hearthstone Card (shirvalla, the tiger) Not Found] with [Hearthstone Card (sathrovar) Not Found]. It ruins pogo-hopper, and cold light oracle. Or maybe it will just pop one extra copy, or maybe it will just destroy one minion and nothing else, but even when that happens, it will still be worth it.

If a copy gets removed from a players hand they won't draw a replacement card, so you can basically make your opponent discard a card with this.

Also this is amazing against tokens.

Hearthstone is a game where the restrictions on how many copies of a card you can play in a single game are easily broken. There are so many scenarios where this will kill at least 3-4 cards. But even when it just removes 1 copy of a minion from the field, it is still a very powerful card.

Every rogue deck will want to play this, aggro, control, combo, it doesn't matter, this is an amazing card.

Obvious Handlock synergy, but I really don't get what Blizz is doing with Warlock right now since they've got like 2 cards each for 4 different synergies (Handlock, Dragonlock, Demonlock, and Quest/Shufflelock). Not to mention Lackey Zoolock is still "around" I guess?

Someone needs to pick a lane and stick in it or it's going to be another 4 months at the #9 spot for winrate and played decks (which hsreplay has it at right now) for Warlock.

The nice part about Warlock is that it is one of the only decks that can run disparate pieces and still have consistent synergy because of how many cards it sees during the game.

It's pretty likely that the deck that plays this also plays a dragon package because of twilight and the new breath card.

Until we see more, this deck probably still plays some manner of plot twist endgame...because that's all it really has right now.

Valdris Felgorge is awesome, regardless of whether or not it's good. Increasing max hand size is a phenomenal effect, and drawing 4 cards is certainly worth 7 mana (Sprint), so the extra 4/4 body is just a nice bonus. Not immediately obvious to me what you do with a 12 card hand, but with the various discard tools that generate extra copies of cards (e.g. Expired Merchant, High Priestess Jeklik, and Soulwarden), the space could be very useful.

  • Flik Skyshiv

Yeah that's interesting, but don't think it would work that way. A card in the rez pool doesn't actually exist, so Flik Skyshiv wouldn't be able to remove it. It's on an evil ethereal plane that only priests can access.

  • New Rogue Minion - Flik Skyshiv

The card is nice, I’m just kind of confused why the one class that’s good at shuffling in tons of copies of minions into their deck is getting the card that counters that strategy

  • Abyssal Summoner

So I guess this card synergize with the warlock legendary... I guess handlock is back with a vengeance. I would like more stand alone legendaries good by themselves, instead of build around archetype legendaries: where are the new Jarraxus, Tirion's? Some new classic class legendaries could a very nice addition to the game instead of to "use and discard" cards we're getting every expansion. The worst imho is when you end up opening said archetype-legendaries and they end up being more of a miss than a hit.

  • Valdris Felgorge

Increased hand size is a very fun new mechanic. This will surelly be on my Mechuthun wild deck, since it draws 4, and reduces chance of future overdraw.

  • Rogue Legendary Reveal - Flik Skyshiv

It shouldn’t destroy the enemy hero if they’re Jaraxxus since the battlecry makes him no longer a minion
