1. The problem of Sniploc stems from the fact that Wild allows players to use their ENTIRE collection to build decks, this is it's biggest strength while simultaneously being its biggest weakness. Of course Team 5 knew this would eventually come about, they also understand that one of three things will happen. If they step in and nerf the deck, a new Bad Guy will reveal himself and everyone will complain about that deck. The second comes from the release of a set of cards that unlock more possibilities for counters to the deck itself. Lastly, just other decks coming up that are even more powerful overall. If you ask me, Wild should never be touched/re-balanced, but instead a new format with limits should be introduced (See link at bottom of comment)
2. Yeah I don't see why they don't push Wild harder. There's a vast library of cards that can only be gained with real world money. It's just a really weird missed opportunity on Blizzard's part. Maybe they're waiting for the "Oh fuck we haven't made our financial quota this quarter, hit the emergency button" and push Wild HARD.
3. I've already said it once but I'll say it again, they should not nerf cards in wild and should've un-nerfed (Yogg, Tuskar, Molten Giant to name a few) cards when they rotated
My stance on this matter is that there are simply too many cards to cram into two formats and we need more. My ideas aren't perfect but they're something to think about and digest, and I'm sure at least one of them would be a welcomed addition.
I would estimate ~30 packs is when you acquire more or less all of the commons and ~50-80 for rares from a given set, or at least reach such diminishing returns that it's easier to just craft the remaining ones you need. For epics and legendaries you'd probably have to open several times that amount to reasonably expect to own even half of the complete set.
Attending firesides does not increase your chances of a better pack opening. But no matter what, you do get a legendary in the first 10 packs. Legendaries also drop on average every 20 packs and no matter what, 1 in every 40 packs.
I was wondering, how many decks are optimal when a new expansion comes out?
I have been saving gold like a mad man so I don't want to waste any of it. I noticed last expansion that after a certain amount of decks were opened I mostly got duplicates.
Also, do you get a better chance of getting legendaries by attending a fireside gathering pre-launch event?
I figure a djinn Archimonde would grant you a wish, but in more of a Monkey's Paw kind of way. It gives you the card that Zephrys would recommend highest without having to play Highlander, but in exchange your opponent also gets a card perfect for them. Be careful what you wish for...
Imho, no one want a costant balance for Wild but just some attention for when the meta become too polarized toward certain decks, those that are classified as Tier S (or terribly obnoxius, like Big Priest). If the meta will not self-correct probably an intervention from Team 5 may be appreciated: no change to basic mechanics and no nerf to cards currently on Standard (to avoid messing with that meta).
Just targeted nerfs to problematic cards that enable broken situations with too much consistency.
Ranger's Crossbow was one of my two winning cards in this contest, and it looks like it actually fits Hunter's theme in Descent of Dragons quite well.
As a fun little side note, nobody could actually seen any of the other's answers. Pircival instead just gave me "I agree with true (if he says it was tough), _______" or "I agree with true (if he says it wasn't tough), _______" to create the illusion that he could.
Using their holy powers, the Paladins have resurrected Galakrond! (and hopefully this thread).
The Father of Dragons enters the battle with a scorching breath to decimate the enemy board, and by either Invoking his glory through other cards, or using his Hero Power the Progenitor's aura gives strength to the minions in your hand.
Resurrection sickness can leave even the strongest dragon feeling a bit diminished, so you'll need to Invoke Galakrond a few times before he reaches full strength.
Having to double or triple tap a deck in the collection editor, just so it is recognize as a full 30 cards list - every single time you log into the game - is getting really irritating ... It was already bad and annoying on day one of said ''Update Patch" but, as time goes by and no changes are yet made, it is now getting bitterly enraging...
I know, i know, a fix is on the way, coming "Monday (or potentially Tuesday)" as they officially released, but in the meantime ...
I've played and beaten them all and I still love Monster Hunt the most. The hero powers are actually fun to use and the upgrades are thematic, I just wish they had 5 more classes rather than just the 4 to choose from.
I just fought Tekhan on heroic. I had all of the treasures for every class. Well, I beat him on the first try. He's really not much stronger on heroic. I got him to about 25hp with just Finley using that broken lifesteal weapon and discover hero power, then burst him down 2 turns later with Reno.
Pretty anticlimactic end to everything considering it took me forever to clear the other bosses with Elise. Plus the heroic card back reward is kinda ugly. Oh well.
I dont think it is, its just RNG. For example, when Dual Arena hit, i wanted to play Rogue, and i was offered Rogue only after 12th draft, and mind you that i didnt get it offered till then on 1st nor 2nd round of picks. But it was just "bad luck". Happens all the time.
The tournament will take place on December 14th and 15th, with a 7 Round Swiss on the first day and the top 8 on the second day in a Single Elimination Bracket that will also be streamed. You can find more details here.
What hero portraits do you use?
If my decks have a theme I'll usually try to compliment it with an appropriate portrait but that's not always possible.
Druid - Elise
Hunter - Aleria
Mage - Khadgar (Wish there was a Gnomish mage so it can tie a Mech mage together well)
Paladin - Arthas (Sir-Annoy-O for my mech decks)
Priest - Madame Lazul
Rogue - Valeera (The rogue heroes are not interesting IMHO)
Shaman - King Rastakhan for my Wild Shudder Shaman, The Thunder King for my elemental Shaman
Warlock - Nemsy
Warrior - Deathwing

Next up, a Warlock minion.

Meme of the Week: Hearthstone Battlegrounds!
The true meme is a hybrid build, with Cave Hydra, 1 or 2 (golden) poisoned and divine shielded Nightmare Amalgam, Foe Reaper 4000 all Lightfang Enforcer-ed into OP-ness...
Here's some art, make a card! [Legacy Game]
Looking back it's really just a worse Corruption. At least you can use it on Eggs.
Next, a djinn Archimonde, somehow.
Meme of the Week: Hearthstone Battlegrounds!
It's the choice you make:
Stay at a lower tier (with narrower pool) to target specific cards more reliably, or tech up in order to get to the 'OP' ones first.
Also consider that getting a triple allows you to discover from 1 tier up, for example, making going to tier 6 unnecessary in my experience.
Meme of the Week: Hearthstone Battlegrounds!
Yes, there's a tip that specifically says that. When a player is eliminated, their minions are added back into the pool.
What hero portraits do you use?
Priest - Anduin (I'm really looking forward to get the 1k portrait since it looks so badass to me)
Druid - Lunara (will switch to Golden Malfurion once I get to 500 wins)
Rogue - Valeera (no big reasons to change)
Paladin - Arthas (although 1k Uther is dank: I'll decide when it will be time)
Hunter - Rexxar (hands down best golden animation)
Mage - Jaina (looking forward to get the 1k: little tits, big beauty)
Warlock - Gul'dan (not a fan of the 1k portrait, but it's not bad at all: golden Gul'dan looks dank though)
Warrior - Garrosh (fuck that fatass Magni, kinda unbothered by the 1k portrait)
Shaman - Morgl (will switch to Thrall once I get to 1k wins)

Hearthstone Heroes on Sale Until December 10

New Neutral Minion - Sathrovarr
Don't cut Emperor yet, because of Kun and Hidden Oasis. Dealing 50 in one turn is often your only chance vs. Druid.
Is arena hero selection weighted?
Yup.
