  • What do you think Casual is Supposed to be?

I totally agree, especially since the top tier decks just feel SOUL crushing whenever I'm trying to meme for a daily quest.

I play casual when I either just want to complete a quest or want to play my own deck that I'm testing out/just having fun with.

I hate seeing top tier constructed decks in casual.  There's no reason to be playing that there.

I will refrain from rehashing my multiple posts on the topic last week, and simply say: I agree with KingKrush.

Can anyone explain how this deck works ?

    AH! Thanks for clarifying.

I haven't purchased DW yet, I only saw some of his quotes from the HS Legends video earlier this week!

Just make it cant be targeted by spells and hero power but still evolvable by lackey. Thus retaining some power.

    That's so easy to address.

Remove the discount text and adjust mana cost to 3 (so it won't be useless). Just a good rare rush minion.

  • What do you think Casual is Supposed to be?

Is casual a place where there is supposed to be no tier-1 decks? or is it supposed to be just like ranked mode with no risk/rewards? What is your philosophy about the Casual format?

I personally think that Casual is a place where you can play whatever deck you want without having to worry about winning or losing. I think that looking at he format as a place where tier 99 decks can be viable is the wrong way of looking at it. I enjoy playing casual because I can be at rank 7 - 5 stars and still be able to try out a odd homebrew deck without having to worry about falling back to rank 10.

  • Convert regular HS cards into HS-BG cards

@DoubleSummon I disagree, if something isn't present in the current form of the gamemode doesn't mean it can never work. Adding handbuffs could create a whole different strategy where people might focus on buying more minions instead of rerolling to look for specific ones. And like I said in the notes, I think making Bob act as "the opponent" in between battle phases would allow cards that interact with the opponent's minions to be added to this game mode. I think it's important to stay open minded when considering what is/could be possible.

Fairly certain when you play Nozdomu you will gain empty crystals until both players reach 10.

Your opponent will get to use the full 10 crystals FIRST.

Yes, the Mana Crystals are indeed empty.

Although to be fair, they didn't phrase the effect very well to imply this.

While Blizzard does seem to consistently miss the mark on these mana cheat cards, it's definitely a hard problem to solve. Just look at Luna's Pocket Galaxy - barely used at 7 mana, and unstoppable at 5. I imagine Blizzard wanted Mogu Fleshshaper to be a 7-drop in part because that means you can cheat him out around the time that a 3/4 rush minion would be still be relevant/powerful, and didn't put enough thought into how the reintroduction of Evolve (and to a lesser extent Ragnaros the Firelord) would make access to an evolve effect consistent enough effect to break balance.

If all you had was Mutate to make the evolve, there'd be plenty of games where you wouldn't have both pieces at the same time, and would just get to cheat out a rush minion. You'd still have a fair number of games decided by a lucky evolve early in the game, but as long as that number goes down, the meta can probably rebalance. It's kind of the same as Murloc Paladin with Tip the Scales - powerful when it lands, but beatable otherwise.

Yeah same - some cards are obviously nerf candidates from the outset.

  • Custom Class - Time Traveler (Updated February 17th - Return to Naxxramas added!)

    New update!

First - Cyber Punk and Murozond how been chosen as the Doom in the Tomb cards.

But in addition to that, Chronecromancer joins the new Battlegrounds mode.

One weird anomaly I discovered about HearthCards today is that making your card golden doesn't save any text size changes you make to it, hence the slightly unconventional, but still technically proper wording.

Since HearthCards also doesn't support golden cards for custom class borders, I used the Mage border for the golden card.

Dragons! I haven't played battlegrounds yet so the balancing of the tavern tiers on these is probably trash, but I think some of these could be really interesting and fun additions to battlegrounds.

    Some notes:

    - Golden alexstrasza would set your hero's health to 30

    - Golden Emeriss would quadruple the attack and health of minions in your hand

    - Golden Scaled Nightmare would quadruple his attack

    - The idea of Swamp Dragon Egg and Bone Drake is that they give you insane value (if they die during the battle phase) at the cost of having a relatively weak minion that takes up a board space.

    - The poisonous 2/1 that is summoned by the Marsh Drake is added to Bob's minions and can therefore be bought for 3 gold. Maybe the golden version could summon either two of them or a golden version of the poisonous dude?

Holding mechanics just won't work well in this mode, March Drake.. Who is this "opponent"?

Some cards won't work, others are too strong it's not hs you know doing stuff to minions in hand isn't really supported well, that's probably why dragons aren't really a tribe in this 1 month max game mode.

  • Mogu Fleshshaper May Be Too Powerful!

i normally dust all the golden cards i open but i kept this one around exactly for this reason

  • What hero portraits do you use?

I wish I could use Nemsy for every class. She's the ultimate BM machine. Not that I EVER do that!

  • Mogu Fleshshaper May Be Too Powerful!

    Article idea for the site:

Wild things that need to be nerfed or addressed.

Just a few things off the top of my head:

    - Bees! armor shenanigans with Druid

    - Endless self-copying Shudderwock

    - Something that breaks up Mill Rogue other than bad deck shuffle or misplay on a rogue's part.

I like playing in Wild because it's generally slower -- a real game of Hearthstone sees both players running out of cards to me -- and there's some old fun decks. It's a trade off of going away from the Standard ladder pollution of aggro decks, but substituting that with BS play decks -- Big Priest, Un'Goro Quest Mage, damn near every OTK that ever existed and the like. To some degree, there's tech cards that counter some of this and there's an acceptable curve of BS plays to counter. But some of this stuff has no counter, a one-shot make it count counter (Dirty Ratting a Shudderwock) or goes beyond conventional BS.

/agree with above's call to look at Mechwarper and to a degree Crystology, but Flankmage ... well, I don't play aggro, so it's a whatever card to me.

@Demonxz95 Yeah I didn't really think about it but I guess it would buff itself at the beginning of the shop phase.

I didn't notice the watermark thing but yeah that's pretty weird. Doesn't really matter for what I wanted to show in my post though :p

Deathwing says "I will not be denied" when attacking, and is surprisingly poetic with his sorry emote (accessible only with Mayor Noggenfogger on the board): "The  sea could not swallow my regret".

Since they always remember to add a sorry emote, I don't think they'll ever forget to add an attacking one for any hero, especially one for a weapon class.
