I wouldn't be so hard on this card just yet. The hero power has a lot going for it. And right now, warlock has very little going for it. Card like Plague of Flames and Grim Rally become a lot more interesting when you are Baku Paladin.
I expect Galakrond Warlock to replace Zoo because Zoo has been underwhelming for a while now, and Galakrond gives it value.
I think it's more likely this card is played as a generated card than something you put in your deck. In general terms, Quest Shaman wants minions, not spells, even considering the chances of Dragonic Lackey.
Unless there are one or two real, competitive, Battlecry Dragons for shaman. Then obviously, this becomes pretty nuts. (At this point, I'm not sure I'm playing Twin Tyrant in a Quest Shaman simply to support this card.)
Maybe there's some more competitive version of "Big Shaman" this time around. Plus we haven't seen Hagatha's Galakrond. This could fit there. But hard to see that deck being preferred to the Quest deck in most circumstances.
This one feels incredibly strong in the context of what Rogue has right now.
Togwaggle's Scheme, Shadow Step (for Invoke minions), Shadow of Death (draw to proc, obviously the cost reduction is meaningless), Anka + Deathrattle stuff, Waxadred, Togwaggle....
It just seems like there are all the tools in the world for this to be strong enough in a class that's almost always one of the best.
And the Hero Power upgrade is definitely one of the best.
Why can't they just stay consistent with the way they write the text.
Why switch "if you're holding a Dragon" to AFTER the effect now?
Love your work, Blizzard... 🙄
It just works how the text describes. If you are not holding a dragon it just gives +1/+2 to a minion. If there is a dragon in your hand it also gives divine shield.
Sorry but there is no inconsistency here.
The card will always give a minion +1/+2 whether or not you are holding a dragon. But it will only give divine shield if you are holding a dragon, so I should think it would read "Give a minion +1/+2. If you are holding a dragon, give it Divine Shield" but instead it says "Give a minion +1/+2. Give it divine shield if you are holding a dragon".
If this card was consistent with other dragon cards it would say 'if you're holding a dragon' before the ability that wants you to be holding a dragon, but this card says 'if you're holding a dragon' after the ability.
I am not 100% sure if this is accurate, this is just how I think it should work.
So Priest Galakrond is a removal effect + value...and we get even more removal from the invoke spell....and now we have a better Thaurissan
yup, this smells like some degenerate OTK BS
Based off their new design philosophy for Priest - that OTK is probably going to have to come from a lot of neutral cards. That's potentially possible because of Leeroy and Mecha'thun, but I don't think it'll ever be as simple as Velen+Mind Blast ever again.
Can we use the cards to mark the boxes instead of crossing them? For example, I don't get the "Remember this mecanic?" one. Maybe it is a problem for others too.
This card is pretty good. a 1/3 can make pretty good trades with other 1-2 drops, and with the extra 2 damage hunter should have no problem controlling the board through the first few turns.
"Infinite" value...but random priest cards tend to be among the worst "random cards" a class can generate because Priest's classic set is such garbage.
I'll never count a hero card out, though. And priest is traditionally one of the grindiest classes. And this is grindy.
I forget the exact math, but I think you have about a 30% chance to draw this card by turn 4 if you hard mulligan for it. Assuming you build a deck that's winrate skyrockets after playing this card (for example going from 50% to 60+%), that seems like it could be a thing.
I'm not sure what that deck is, because Duel Paladin is really sketchy. But there's a window for it.
I'm very interested in this side quest. It's a 1 mana 6/6. And Mage is going to spend 8 mana on spells multiple times during a game. Seems very powerful.
That body is so terrible that I'm suspect. That said, evolved kobold was much worse and saw fringe competitive play in Freeze Mage. So there may be a place for this little guy.
All 1-mana 1/3's have seen consistent competitive play except for Animated Berserker and Warbot. And even Warbot saw some play just before it rotated out. And Berserker's effect is negative except in very niche scenarios.
So, because this has a positive effect on that body almost certainly makes this a very competitive card.
New Warlock Spell - Fiendish Rites
This card is actually pretty fine. Not good, but possibly good enough because Warlock needs something to do.
New Warlock Minion - Dragonblight Cultist
This card is perfectly reasonable.
New Warlock Minion - Veiled Worshipper
I think Galakrond Warlock is a deck that's good enough. So I think this card is very good.
New Warlock Hero - Galakrond, the Wretched
I wouldn't be so hard on this card just yet. The hero power has a lot going for it. And right now, warlock has very little going for it. Card like Plague of Flames and Grim Rally become a lot more interesting when you are Baku Paladin.
I expect Galakrond Warlock to replace Zoo because Zoo has been underwhelming for a while now, and Galakrond gives it value.
New Shaman Spell - Lightning Breath
I think it's more likely this card is played as a generated card than something you put in your deck. In general terms, Quest Shaman wants minions, not spells, even considering the chances of Dragonic Lackey.
Unless there are one or two real, competitive, Battlecry Dragons for shaman. Then obviously, this becomes pretty nuts. (At this point, I'm not sure I'm playing Twin Tyrant in a Quest Shaman simply to support this card.)

New Rogue Spell - Praise Galakrond!
The only think that I don't like about this card is that it isn't a turn 1 play. Otherwise, it's really reasonable.
New Rogue Spell - Candle Breath
of the potential "dragon decks" rogue would probably be my bet to be the least likely simply because Rogue does so many other things so well.
That said, Rogue could probably generate enough dragons on average to make this playable without much/any support besides Waxadred.
I wouldn't be shocked if this card is played as maybe a 1-of.
New Rogue Spell - Dragon's Hoard
Pretty reasonable include when Swashburgler rotates. Assuming the Vendetta package is still good...which it almost certainly should still be.
New Rogue Spell - Seal Fate
I think Rogue Galkrond is very good, so I think this card is good enough.
New Rogue Minion - Umbral Skulker
Cute, but I wouldn't be surprised if this card is entirely unnecessary.
New Rogue Hero - Galakrond, the Nightmare
This one feels incredibly strong in the context of what Rogue has right now.
Togwaggle's Scheme, Shadow Step (for Invoke minions), Shadow of Death (draw to proc, obviously the cost reduction is meaningless), Anka + Deathrattle stuff, Waxadred, Togwaggle....
It just seems like there are all the tools in the world for this to be strong enough in a class that's almost always one of the best.
And the Hero Power upgrade is definitely one of the best.
New Paladin Spell - Sand Breath
The card will always give a minion +1/+2 whether or not you are holding a dragon. But it will only give divine shield if you are holding a dragon, so I should think it would read "Give a minion +1/+2. If you are holding a dragon, give it Divine Shield" but instead it says "Give a minion +1/+2. Give it divine shield if you are holding a dragon".

I am not 100% sure if this is accurate, this is just how I think it should work.
New Priest Spell - Time Rip
It's likely a good card for priest, but insert standard priest disclaimers here <weak to OTKs, few ways to actually finish games, etc.>
Descent of Dragons - Reveal Season Community Bingo
Is it Invoke tho? Because of the similarity with C'thun
New Priest Minion - Fate Weaver
Based off their new design philosophy for Priest - that OTK is probably going to have to come from a lot of neutral cards. That's potentially possible because of Leeroy and Mecha'thun, but I don't think it'll ever be as simple as Velen+Mind Blast ever again.
New Priest Minion - Fate Weaver
Hard to say because we don't know the full suite of invoke cards. Great effect and great body though. Lots of potential.
Descent of Dragons - Reveal Season Community Bingo
Can we use the cards to mark the boxes instead of crossing them? For example, I don't get the "Remember this mecanic?" one. Maybe it is a problem for others too.
New Hunter Minion - Dwarven Sharpshooter
This card is pretty good. a 1/3 can make pretty good trades with other 1-2 drops, and with the extra 2 damage hunter should have no problem controlling the board through the first few turns.
New Priest Hero - Galakrond, the Unspeakable
"Infinite" value...but random priest cards tend to be among the worst "random cards" a class can generate because Priest's classic set is such garbage.
I'll never count a hero card out, though. And priest is traditionally one of the grindiest classes. And this is grindy.
New Paladin Spell - Sand Breath
Even though it's solid, I'm just not sure how useful this effect really is.
Hand of Protection has never been good. And Divine Strength has never been good.
In a 30 card deck, I'm not sure this makes the cut. It would have to be a really zoo-y dragon paladin...and even then, I'm suspicious.
New Paladin Minion - Nozdormu the Timeless
I forget the exact math, but I think you have about a 30% chance to draw this card by turn 4 if you hard mulligan for it. Assuming you build a deck that's winrate skyrockets after playing this card (for example going from 50% to 60+%), that seems like it could be a thing.
I'm not sure what that deck is, because Duel Paladin is really sketchy. But there's a window for it.
New Mage Spell - Learn Draconic
I'm very interested in this side quest. It's a 1 mana 6/6. And Mage is going to spend 8 mana on spells multiple times during a game. Seems very powerful.
New Mage Minion - Azure Explorer
That body is so terrible that I'm suspect. That said, evolved kobold was much worse and saw fringe competitive play in Freeze Mage. So there may be a place for this little guy.
New Hunter Minion - Dwarven Sharpshooter
All 1-mana 1/3's have seen consistent competitive play except for Animated Berserker and Warbot. And even Warbot saw some play just before it rotated out. And Berserker's effect is negative except in very niche scenarios.

Descent of Dragons
Approximately $0.80 a pack is not bad for a bundle.
