I despise this on principle, since they are literally buying views. Then they will run their annual statistics and boast about how much viewership the tournaments get, similar to how they boasted in the past about the "number of players" which in fact was number of accounts created, not active players. Blah.
Im all for free stuff for players, but this is a shady way of going about it.
To the few people mentioning adding [Hearthstone Card (Sir Finely of the Sands) Not Found]: It's not bad as you go into fatigue, and it can also help you stay alive with powers like Heal or get some reach with powers like Fireblast Rank 2. However, when you're in fatigue, you'd rather just use your combo unless your opponent has lethal on board. Even in that situation, [Hearthstone Card (Zephrys) Not Found] is often a better choice, offering you Twisting Nethers and Tirion Fordrings and Frost Novas to set up the combo.
Highlander Secret Pally is really strong right now, what with all the secret cards from Doom in the Tomb. When the cards leave in the next update however, the deck loses quite a bit of it's power. The deck also gets worse at ranks 5-1 and drops to only better-than-average tier in Legend. It's a good craft; a very fun deck that can whip out some impressive wins, but crumbles hard if you get cucked by draw.
This idea has been around for quite a while, but as far as I know Blizzard sadly isn't paying much attention to it. Maaaybe they're secretly planning on doing something like this but right now all we can do is hope.
I mainly play paladin and just open Sir Finley of the Sands from a pack, always wondering should i also craft Zephrys the Great for all of highlander paladin variation out there..
Yes i also thought about this idea. I first think what if Wild have a set rotation, would people be encourage or maybe discourage to play it. But maybe making it as a new play mode works too, so everybody have something for their taste.
I know Wild suppose to be, well.. wild, but maybe a little less wilderness could be a good thing.
I thought about that some time ago. It would be a nice idea. IMO, I think it wouldn't be troublesome to be implemented.
The nicest thing about it is that the meta wouldn't be so stale and if some sort of busted deck appears, then it would be gone as soon as the rotation hits; no need for nerfs...
I hadn't thought of it, but yeah, switching to the lowest possible resolution before muting and going to sleep does improve the odds you wont wake up to 'An Error Occurred' with the screen froze and no time accumulated for the giveaways. And even if you are up and just running it in the background, yes, much less bandwidth reduced from your other activities.
About a month ago I made a thread asking if Frost Nova should be HoF'd to increase the variety of freeze effects that can be printed for Mage. The reaction was mostly negative, since too many freeze effects would eventually overwhelm mage in Wild mode.
That got me thinking though: would people be interested in a new play mode that uses rotating sets? Similar to Arena and the Brawl Block tavern brawls, you could only build decks from certain expansions. For simplicity, it could follow the same current rotation as whatever the arena is.
The idea is this lets old cards shine like they do in Wild, but in a way that keeps the meta fluid and prevents "solved archetypes" (so things like Rez Priest and Face Shaman wouldn't be insane forever). It might even let certain bad cards see the light of day without better alternatives. This also gives Blizzard more leeway to print similar effects to rotated cards and make them competitive, since there would be an alternative to Wild mode. Also keep in mind this balances Priest's ever-growing collection of board clears.
Looks good but I don't own a [Hearthstone Card (Shirvalla, the Tiger) Not Found]. This deck my change that, seems pretty solid. I've always like the card [Hearthstone Card (A New Challenger…) Not Found] too but never really had a place for it. Although a lot of the 6's don't look great. I did also just pick up a Sir Finley of the Sands, hm highlander sounds interesting.
They've always stated "classic card pack" in the blog post which is why I feel like they made a mistake by not including the set name this time around.
A Weekend of Wild Decks
Thank you for this. Gives me some new ideas.
Gamemode Idea: Rotating Sets
Bam! https://outof.cards/forums/hearthstone/hearthstone-general/1488-six-formats-hearthstone-could-easily-have
(See Brawl Block Format)
I think every player has had an idea similar to this ever since Standard Rotations became a thing. You're not the only one who wants this.

My opinion of Jepetto Joybuzz- way more fun than what I thought!
Just wanted to throw out that Jepetto Joybuzz is a very nice craft- especially if, like me, you like OTKs.
I got to use it in a number of decks from quest Shudderwock to meme decks as Bombs Away ( https://outof.cards/hearthstone/decks/8156-bombs-away )
Just yesterday I had the pleasure of throwing a big axe worth 32 damage at the face of a combo priest, courtesy of Joybuzz. Love it!

Questing Tempo Rogue
Quest Rogue with no quest. Clearly a new meta.

not sure why you are being downvoted so much. This is a perfectly reasonable point of view to have.

Free packs is good and I don't mind watching the stream but Choose-Your-Champ was kinda cool :(

Actually, I read the full document of elegible countries and found that we, brazilians, and the mexicans aren't elegible for the random drops.
I learned it the hard way, after 20+ hours of stream without a single one random drop.
The "normal" drops came normally, though.
So, if you are brazilian or mexican, be advised.
