Saw the video before the list - looks like a great deck.
Idea suggestion - highlander ring the bells paladin otk. If you have 4 mana and the board is clear, then play zephyrs you get a high chance of finding sorcerers apprentice. Then use with a faceless manipulator and sound the bells (maybe with a charge minion) for infinite free sound the bells. wild pyro + equality can clear board with 4 mana remaining to find apprentice - new Finley highlander for defensive hero power, then just card draw and survival.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy is going to get either reverted back to 7 mana, or nerfed to 6 mana. Should just be 7 mana, but I don't think Blizz is going to admit defeat with the buff they made.
I doN't know about that, Blizzard has been much more flexible recently. They reverted Specialist format and the arena changes because they realized they weren't working (Arena is debateable)
IN fact, the buffs in the frist place are an admission of failure.
I wouldn't be surprised if they revert Galaxy and just say "we thought this wouldn't be a problem, but it turns out it was, so no more of that"
And here we are again, some time ago was Rogue, until they nerf the class to the ground, AGAIN! In two months will be Druid or some other stuff.
STOP ASKING NERFS, it's only ruining our hard won collections, losing dust every 2 or 3 months. Ask for BUFFS!!!
because buffs will totally fix Warrior and Mage
I guess if we bring back Deathstalker Rexxar for every class it would fix the Warrior probelm...and then we buff Big game Hunter to 2-mana , because that has never been a problem.
This is how dynamic game design works you dunce. Nerfs are necessary because you can't predict the meta game from the moment you design a card, so adjustments have to be made as time goes on

It utilizes practically all the cards a Quest priest variant would want. To not run quest in this version of the deck seems to speak to the "lemming problem". (i.e. A popular streamer/pro player showcases a deck, despite it being flawed or perhaps unrefined the "masses" start to play it even though it practically makes no sense.)
I get it, Lightwarden makes the deck aggro oriented, and you want to play lightwarden on 1 so you can buff it/heal and get out of control fast. I get it. However, when the deck loses, it loses hard....except if it had the quest it wouldn't lose hard. All the deck has to do is swap 1 minion out for the quest, and you will get MUCH more value.
IMO the deck doesn't need Leeroy Jenkins, between Lightwardens, Inner Fire combos, and possibly including the quest, the deck wouldn't need Leeroy in the first place. And even if you DID run leeroy, You'd want to run it with the quest so you could 8 mana combo for 9 damage.
Everything about this deck, and the people proliferating it's popularity makes ZERO sense. I implore you. If you're running aggro priest, just run the quest with it. Swap out one card that you don't have, or feel like you don't need as much (cough cough 1x Inner fire is enough to combo with...cough cough) And enjoy a much more robust deck. It would be similar to running a ton of battlecry minions in shaman, and not running the quest because you want to play a turn 1 minion. It's dumb NOT to include the quest in those instances.
The Problem here with the quest is not just that it's a minion less that you can play, it's a card less that you have in your mulligan hand. And if you mulligan it away, it's a dead draw and way harder to finish. Priest often has problems to draw anyway (if you don't get any kind of draw combo of), so having one less card from the start really sucks.
Old quest hunter had a similar problem. You could play a minion on 1, quest and another minion on two, but then you are already out of cards, with (back than) no magical "draw three cards" card available to you ever.
Those aggro decks don't have any comeback mechanic, so you really want to get the board from the start and don't want to lose it, and that's where the quest is a roadblock. You either want more tempo or more draw in hand, not something that doesn't do anything for the next 5 turns.
I feel you ! Happend to me to - went from Rank 2 with 5 Stars back to Rank 4 with 2 Stars ... normaly i would stop after 3 losses in a row but i kept on playing, don't now why tough :) ...
Yeah I took a break at 3, then came back and kept pushing just trying to end my losing streak, but it just kept getting worse. Oh well, it happens. I need to learn to just accept it and not get so salty about it.
Priest is my favourite class so i always try lots of different Builds and lots of people say that in this Expansion Priest is very bad and not realy viable , but i think it is not as bad as many people think.
Right now i'm trying a Quest/Wall Priest and it´s going decent. Sure the Combo Priest is faster and has a decent winrate (55/56 % according to HS Replay).
I also tried messing around with Aggro and Highlander Builds but so far the Quest/Wall and Combo Priest are the best ones.
I used to only use the Frostmourne card back from KotFT prepurchase. Now I just use random. 99% of the time I don't even pay attention to what card back is being used by myself or my opponent.
I feel a change to the mage class, and in general. Evolve effects and conjurers calling effects should only be affected by the actual cost of the minion.
you cheat out a giant turn 4, you get 4cost minions from conjurer. You use evolve or mutate on the 7 cost rush shaman card, you get whatever it cost when played. Same as sea giant.
This makes it harder to cheat out and snowball on minions of this type.
this is a very good idea, I never understood why it doesn't work like tha
I second that - this idea is pretty good !
And i just want to mention again - i cannot wait to see Dr. Boom, Mad Genius get nerfed :)
1. Is it just my local meta or is the Hakkar card back still what maybe 10% of everyone else's opponents use as well? Obviously it was everywhere 6 months ago when it was released, but I'm surprised at how prevalent it still is - it's definitely the one single back I see most often by a wide margin. Just me or are others seeing this too? DO you think it's because it's a true favortie or just people being too lazy/not caring enough to manually change their favorite after it was auto-changed to Hakkar?
Reading the card I'd assume it kills one of the two as it says after the spell is cast. It does also mean it would kill the tokens summoned by baited arrow and animal companion on an empty board
Hey guys I was wondering; how does Pressure Plate work if my opponent plays Conjurer's Calling on a minion on his side of the board?
Does the Secret trigger first killing the minion and also "Countering" the spell or Conjurer's Calling triggers first and I end up killing one of the 2 minions?
Just wondering, never had a chance to see the interaction but I'd like to be prepared.
I also experimented quite a bit with Lady in White, I got her at Whichwood's launch, she's great with the high-health mechs (Framebot, Gatekeeper...), but now I'm experimenting with midrange quest instead.
Opened a Classic pack I got off daily quest and it had both King Krush and GOLDEN Lorewalker Cho. Best pack ever. I'm legitimately trying to craft some memey decks in which to put that Gold Cho - I expect a symphony of "Wow"s when I slap that bad boy down.
We'll have Sha cards for sure still don't know the effects.. but debuffs and leeching are a possibility. Don't think they'll have interactions with meditate
Dude, I love it!!!!! Although the Warlock location is a pretty lame card... You could've thought of something more creative, and that's a fact... I mean when i saw all the other cards they were amazing and super creative, therefore you should rework it. Personal opinion though, don't take my words as a demand. ^^
P.S. The keyword is the most original of the kewords yet. Well done!
I agree, warlock location seems underwhelming. But I think it can be good if I push correctly the self-damage Warlock archetype and that's what I'm planning. Maybe there's a future for Duskbat and Deathweb Spider in hearthstone, probably not :/
Meditate Keyword is great, looking forward to seeing more cards reveals!
Perhaps we will see some Sha Cards that debuff, leech, etc, even have special interactions with Meditate cards?
We'll have Sha cards for sure still don't know the effects.. but debuffs and leeching are a possibility. Don't think they'll have interactions with Meditate tho.
The only question i have right now is the why the Monk Card Broketooth Wanderer does not have a "Monk" tag ? As stated above the Meditate ability is for Monks only so i thought it should also have the Monk Tag below like the New Lackey is an Elemental :)
But the other stuff looks great so far - the Warlock Minion Cursed Pandaren seems a little to strong - of course depending what counts as an enchantment? If i would buff up cards with Grim Rally for example - would he also get the buffs of all the buffed minions?
I don't see the point of having Monk as a minion type tag. We haven't seen any class as a tag. In KofT we were expecting to see an Undead tag and that would make sense, but a Death Knight wouldn't. I think you get what I mean. Enchantments are the same considered for Immortal Prelate, when a minion gets buffed. So if you Grim Rally your board, Cursed Pandaren would steal each +1/+1 given (if it didn't attack). But aura buffs like Flametongue Totem don't.
The location cards kinda read weird. I think that instead of it saying "10 turns" and then the effect, it would say "for 10 turns, do X".
The paladin spell, fortitude of niuzao, also reads kinda weird. I thin it would be better if it said "choose a minion, until your next turn that minion can only take 1 damage at a time" instead of "choose a minion, it can only take 1 damage at a time until your next turn"
The hunter minion having stealth and rush is kinda pointless, I get what you are trying to do, but there is almost no circumstances where you would rather keep it stealthed.
other than that, the expansion looks well themed and mostly balanced. I really like the pandarian theme, and I hope blizzard makes a panda expansion in the future.
*edit* I just noticed that your lackey is basically just Titanic Lackey but for one more health. you should probably change it to something else just for more variety. maybe something that gives a minion stats, like +1/+1, or +2/+0.
Good calls! Definitely going to make these changes regarding locations and the paladin spell. Sentinel Striker I think it's fine.. I mean it's a better Gilblin Stalker because its a class card and still common. Works well for arena. About the lackey, I also think it is fine. It can be good in a quest priest and I'm going to make more lackeys interactions for them. Can be useful for warlock as it takes too much damage and for rogue as it lacks on healing. Also for quest shaman because of hero power + this lackey is restore 6 health for 3 mana which is really okay. The only class that kinda sucks with this lackey is warrior, but still can heal damaged minions. *Edit: Relying on Time Out!, Conceal and Curse of Weakness texts apparently Fortitude of Niuzao wording is fine.

Card Interaction: Pressure plate and Conjurer's Calling
The Conjurer's Calling is going off summoning the 2 minions - after that Pressure Plate triggers and kills one of the 2 summoned minions.
Also works with the above mentioned minion summoning cards like Baited Arrow for example.
Hakkar card back/favorite back?
Well i personaly haven't seen the Hakkar card back in a while now.
My favourite Cardback so far is the Lemon Cardback - but right now i use the Random Option :)
How's it fair against Control Warrior? I'm assuming it's close to an auto loss, unfortunately.
Hakkar card back/favorite back?
I could not care what my cardback is, and I just leave it on random.
Hakkar card back/favorite back?
Created this thread for two reasons:
1. Is it just my local meta or is the Hakkar card back still what maybe 10% of everyone else's opponents use as well? 2. While we're on the subject, I'm curious how does everyone else use cardbacks? I like to find a back that fits the deck i.e. Machine Dreams (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/card-backs/110-machine-dreams) for my Mech Warrior, VanCardback (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/card-backs/94-vancardback) for Burgle Rogue, Moonwell (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/card-backs/96-moonwell) for Quest Druid, etc. So do others have a different back for each deck, one favorite they use for everything, is still using the basic back because they could not care less?

Pleasant Surprises from Uldum
Jambre's hand paladin is also a really pleasant surprise. I think that it would see a lot more play if the Murloc Aggro wasn't so highrolly
How to play the Quest
I'm also experimenting with midrange Quest Priest, but I'm not yet satisfied with any of my lists. I run Power Word: Shield and Questing Explorer in addition to Northshire Cleric + Circle of Healing for card draw. And I use Extra Arms in the decks with Lightwarden, which tend to be more aggressive.
