It seems that leaving 2 empty quest slots is sort of workaround.
Thank you ripcord, I saw the posts, it seems it really affected those people, who kept two quests. Those who had none or one quest, did get a new one. There´s a reply on reddit from Blizz support:
Yup, i said it the last time, really disheartening that they are basically buying views. I mean free stuff is nice and all, but i would prefer if they made the tournaments interesting with interesting gameplay first and foremost. Lets hope the new expansion can help with that.
Druid is probably too strong given the cards they have to support it.
Shaman is heavily ovevrrated for now, but will probably be much stronger once people cut all the greedy bullshit and focus on an actual gameplan that's not just "LOOK HOW MUCH STUFF I CAN MAKE""
Warlock is just pointless. It's not even bad, but there just no use for the Quest Reward other than Rafaam Highrolling, which is basically just a Hail Mary with no actual strategy
Mage is redundant
Rogue was way overhyped because as it turns out (like it always does) filling your deck with bad cards and sacrificing early tempo to get some mildly interesting reward later on is inferior to just using your tempo from turn one and just playing the best cards you can. Value Rogue doesn't work. It just doesn't. End of the debate
Priest is probably still underdeveloped and could do much better in the right deck, but the condition is also realy hard to fullfill so I don't see it working out in the long run. Better try Zoo Priest without it.
Warrior is underrated in my opinion and suffers heavily from people just not knowing how to build it (or just playing Whizbang). At the end of the day it brings a decent mid- to lategame value generator for something like Rush Warrior. Ultimately it probably gets outclassed by Aggro/Enrage Warrior though
Hunter is probably cool to pull off but ultimately pointless. As with Rogue, you sacrifice your early tempo and card quality to get a finisher later...but that finisher isn't even that great and only really synergizes with a select few minions.
Paladin was made out to be the worst Quest, but it'S actually quite legit. The main problem is that about 90% of available Reborn minions suck major ass and in the end you're still very prone to just being run over by faster decks, since the Reborn package already takes up so much space that you can't run a lot of Boardclear or removal. That being said, Crystalsmith Kangor is essential in that deck because you can quadruple your healing for a turn and do crazy stuff with Zilliax that way
To sum up:
Druid will be the main archetype for the class for years to come, simply because it's a flexible deck that's not just a one-dimensional Savage Roar to win snorefest
Shaman will only develop further and get stronger as time goes on and probably spawn multiple variations focussing on different things,
Rogue will fail just as much as most other Burgle buildarounds...I wonder when they'll realize that they can't make a value deck work for a class that isn't allowed to have reliable defenses forcing it to just play a worse version of regular tempo builds
Paladin will ultimately fail because Reborn is a SoU exclusive and the current options just won't cut it in a developed meta
Priest just depends on future support cards. The more cards that Heal or get damaged, the fast the quest completes and the better it's ultimately going to be
Warrior basically depends on whether someone finds a way to tie a Rush deck together with weapons...and if Control Warrior gets nerfed because with that deck around it's pointless to play anything else Warrior
Hunter is mainly just pointless, but there could be future support that ties the whole thing together, so who knows.
Mage will never see play as long as Conjurer's Calling remains unnerfed....same with any other Mage Archetype, because if you're not Calling you're basically throwing games
I did and i didnt think it was warranted, most of the time you have full hand either way. That being said, if you run into aggro more often than not, i think it would be a good tech card to put in the deck.
But i wouldnt be opposed to trying it out, often times you dont rly play much on T1 and T2 and this could help with that and setup even stronger T3 or T4. Maybe it would be worth a shot.
Yeah, im not against the changes. Tho taking out Bone Wraiths, do you feel like you dont need the protection, especially early? Pretty much none of what you put in helps with aggro, do you no have a problem with it at all at the moment? I guess not that many fast decks in the mix right now.
It work fairly well, if you dont get screwed with the random cards too much :) Also it is important to keep Tess Greymane in mind when selecting cards via discover. That can help in a really huge way. For example, i could choose Hex or Execute, i thought about it and chose Execute. Later on i killed three huge taunts with Tess (among other things) thanks to the Execute when i repeatedly bounced her back. Had i chosen Hex, that would be a very different story.
Great advice, and maybe worth including in the guide if it isn't already super obvious.
As an update, I've had some success climbing with this. In contrast to the Tempo versions of Quest Rogue, I find that I lose steam less often, and have multiple times now stretched games against Control archetypes into fatigue, where we're both out of cards, but I'm still sitting at full health when it starts. (New Taunt Warrior! Fun!)
FWIW, I've swapped in Heistbaron Togwaggle and Siamat for some greater flexibility (replacing the Bone Wraiths) and continue to cling to 2x Sap like a child, both because of Conjuring Mage-related trauma and because with 3 guaranteed damage from face, I often need to just move something out of my way to take out a high priority minion (e.g. Vargoth, Keeper Stalladris).
Oh damn! Blade Flurry. That is actually such a cool idea. Holy hell, thinking about it now, that card might actually make a comeback!
Yeah, I've started taking Blade Flurry when it comes out of an Ethereal Lackey if I have the quest completed. Fan of Knives still has its uses, but now that Quest Druid has for the time being replaced Token Druid, you wind up with a lot more 3-health minion swarms than 1-health ones.
It's rather sad to see how Blizz tries to encourage players to watch their streams... Most of viewers are just doing something else/ are away from the computer and just let the stream play for packs.
so basically Jaraxxus, but except for a hero power you have to play a 6-mana minion.
Sounds pointless tbh
You have a max Health of 30, you generate additional cards in hand, you are not susceptible to [Hearthstone Card (Scrificial Pack) Not Found] (for the sake of the argument)
Not every player gets the bundle or saves up gold for every expansion guys. Day one decks are not for everyone.
I can understand players not buying the bundles (I used to be f2p for years before transitioning to a paying customer), but not saving up gold? That's just lazy and on the fault of the players who don't save and/or complete their dailies
if you didn't buy pre-order 3 in a row, sometimes you just can't save gold for complete older expansions. Also saving is better with arena and not all players can handle that.
I can save for enough with arena but I know some friends who can't save enough without pre-order + arena. So its not just lazy. People have real lifes. :)
For the OP, it was just arena for me and I've just only played 5-8 games on ladder with whizbang. I believe what I always played against were all Whizbang decks so I couldn't say enough about first day decks. :) I can say that it really hurts to play against Taunt/control Warrior. I had really raged while I was playing against it.
But I can say that arena is funnier than last rotation. I had already pissed those mechs on last rotation. I've really had so much fun with this expansion in arena. There are great new cards for arena for sure.
Golden Scarab works great in Mage. Vulpera Scoundrel is great in any class. All of Reborn cards Murmy included does great in arena because of this, Pharaoh Cat also great. Siamat is also great in arena if you can pull it. Pit Crocolisk is like the king of the arena, Psychopomp acts great in any Priest arena deck, Dune Sculptor is also great if you could pulled minions like Banana Buffoon and more which I can't remember right now.
I can say that Mage,Hunter,Rogue and Warrior should be your choice in arena. I always got 5+ wins with them. Shaman has some problems in my experience because I had beat all of the shamans i had played against and got 3/3 with one shaman run. Priest is ok-ish, Druid is also ok-ish, can't say enough for paladin because I couldn't play with it and couldn't played so much against them. I have played against 2 paladins, 1 was loss and 1 was win. So my arena report is that. :)
It is really so much fun and easier than last rotation in my opinion. If you guys had issues with Arena before, You should give it a try right now.
Given the quests apparently require playing and winning "the Tavern Brawl" I wouldn't expect to see them at least until next Wednesday. It would be a bit of a cruel move to force people into a brawl that requires a gold investment.
''The first one is on us'' Policy helps tho
Now back at the topic, the legendaries daily quest are not a chain like in some previous release. The info that were data mined, like you said, are brawl related and experience now tells us that it wasn't about this week's brawl (Standard Brawliseum). Next week, as plausible as it may seems, is still only hypothetical. They may as well keep them in stock to hype up the release of the next adventure segment, a month from now, who knows?
I also suspect that people may have been answering different question(s) when asked if they got a second legendary quest? ''Oh aye, plenty like 5 or 6 mate; Pally, then Hunter's quest, and Warriors & Priest ... but no Untapped Potential'' ^^ explaining part, if not all, the confusion

Have you considered Ancient Mysteries? I know you're very light on secrets, but it has fantastic synergy with your existing Vex Crow, Mana Cyclone, and [Hearthstone Card (Dune Sculptor) Not Found] strategies.

Arena in new expansion
Mage/Hunter > Warrior/Rogue > Warlock/Druid > Priest > Paladin > Shaman
Worked like this for me right now. Of course it might change in following days but I got best wins with Mage + Hunter. They were always 7+.
but I can say that it is funnier than last rotation. :)
Right now I'm sitting on 6-0 with mage in arena. We will see if i could go for 12 wins or I will stuck. Time will tell. :)
