Well, the rogue will have to spend mana to wield that weapon. Secondly, you can freeze it. Thirdly, you can destroy it so they have to use 2 mana again. So it can be irritating but it is not unwinnable.

Let me just say that Dune Sculptor exceeded my expectations. I included it as a something to play on curve and if it sticks, it can provide some value, but holy hell does it provide value. Some games you can just rely on it completely and get tons of powerful stuff to play, dont even have to wait for Cyclones.

Cannot recommend Zilliax enough. The amount of play the card has gotten over the past year has proven it a worthy craft.

Mech Paladin tons of fun though, its so great to see a starter version that can evolve.

  • How'd Your Pack Opening Haul Go?

I bought 82 packs, but after opening 8 of them I discovered that I bought the wrong expansion.... luckily Blizzard was so nice to swap them with Uldum packs. I had 74 packs left, got 8 legendaries of which 6 quests :D

  • A Report Button

Thanks will do.  that was the only spambot i had seen so far.

  • legendary quests from saviors of uldum

Didn't get it either, my guess is that there is a timespan between them, comparable to the Fire Fest-EV.I.L Quests. My guess is that we wil receive one of them later today. and the third a day after that.

  • New Paladin Spell - Tip the Scales

Tip the Scales + Prismatic Lens makes me want to quit the game. Fill the board for 1 mana? Great stuff, well played.

  • The main reason you include Scargil is to reduce the cost of Ghost Light Angler.  Of which you didn't include, so I can see a reason you wouldn't include him, even if you owned him.

Oh damn! Blade Flurry. That is actually such a cool idea. Holy hell, thinking about it now, that card might actually make a comeback!

Run both lackeys and self damage packages, I tried it, it's quite effective, yet to face warrior or paladin though

You can combine lackeys with self-damage, but fitting demon synergy in there as well would be difficult. EVIL Genius needs something cheap to sacrifice, so you need tokens and/or deathrattles and once you have those, you probably want to capitalize on that by adding more typical zoo cards like Dire Wolf Alpha.

I ran into one Warrior so far and while I lost, it was pretty close until Omega Devastator came online. That's what led me to include Mojomaster Zihi.

    Quote From sinti

Sure, but just pick the best of both worlds. Having too many self-damaging cards can be very dangerous and there are plenty of safer options too.

There is quite a bit of healing in the deck, so you have a lot more than 30 health to work with. The current list has around 20 to 25 points of healing, depending on how much value you get from the Spider, Zilliax and when you draw the Broodmothers. If that is not enough, you could replace a Flame Imp by a second Crystallizer and add a second Rotten Applebaum.

As long as you can deal more damage than you receive, you'll be fine against most decks. Pure burn decks are rare these days: most aggressive decks rely on repeated minion damage before being able to finish you off. If you win the minion war, you're likely outside of their burn range and then they'll have to use their burn on your minions just to stay alive.

    Quote From RavenSunHS

I am trying a Lackey/Pain hybrid, and it's not so strong as one would expect. Very hand-dependant, so i find it inconsistent, although not bad overall. At least it's a viable archetype now.

eg i could beat a Quest Druid, but a Quest Priest overpowered me.

At least this is my impression so far.

I also beat a Quest Druid: they got their quest online but by then I had 3 demons on the board and Ectomancy turned that into a board they couldn't deal with.

Quest Priest with a completed quest was too much to handle, even with Lord Jaraxxus. And I'm not sure it's feasible to finish them off before they complete the quest, since the earlier you start pushing damage, the earlier they can complete the quest. I think you can always get a win if you have a strong start, but with a mediocre start it's going to be tough.

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

Here I go again. After a long break caused by cyclone mage, mech hunter and control warrior clusterfuck I gave hearthstone another chance and oh boy... the salt is back.

Started playing since day 2 and what I see is bunch of scum bags netdecking already and spamming emotes.

Rogue quest is fucking ridiculous. Who the fuck thought that it would be fun to play against it? I saw people finishing the quest as early as turn 3. And then you’re not able to develop a board while they vomit with lackeys on their side. How about some testing before printing broken ass shit cards, Blizzard??

Anyone playing previous meta decks, especially decks from FOUR MONTHS AGO on the day of the new expansion is a mindless troglodyte incapable of thinking for themselves or playing anything FOR FUN.

Here's a concept to anyone still playing the following decks:

    • Mech Warrior
    • Secret Hunter
    • Conj Mage

You can have fun AND play new decks AND win.  I know it's a fucking hard concept to grasp but it's entirely possible!

How about you (you know who you are) stop playing the same fucking boring brain dead deck from the last four months AND TRYING SOMETHING NEW GOD DAMNIT!

  • legendary quests from saviors of uldum

did anyone get the second and third legendary quests from saviors of uldum or not. i have others say that they didn't receice it either. are there maybe people who did receive the second or/and third SoU legendary quests

  • [GA] At a Bazaar with Tess Greymane

I played an opponent who had a variant of this deck, having Blade Flurry and Togwaggle's Scheme. Fun deck!

    Good eve fellow Hearthstoners,

got back to the game after taking a short break as Rise of Shadows was really bland and I really quickly lost interest in the game, quite frankly had higher hopes for it as I've been pretty dissappointed with the expansions since Boomsday Project. But honestly Saviors of Uldum really trumped it all with the massive amount of stale and bland legendaries. I've literally never EVER had 0 legendaries that interested me. Yet now I honestly have no clue what to craft. What bums me out even more is that I even won the outofcards giveaway, got super lucky with my 53 packs and still haven't got anything to do as both Standard and Wild ladders are just honestly the same old shitfest as they have been since forever. Standard being stale and Wild being, well, terrorized by decks that I don't even dare to name as I would probably get a lot of meaningless hate for it.

Point is, I'm pretty much bored of the expansion on the first day of playing it and it's frustrating as I've loved this game to bits for such a long time. I'd appreciate any tips for some decks you guys have success with as nothing I came up seems to work. And please refrain from comments to play other card games. I've tried many and they were fun for a while, but not in a longrun.

What do you expect from this thread? Seriously?

He expected what ArcticFox delivered actually.  He just wanted some ideas to mess with.

I've acctually been there.  During Un'Goro nothing seemed interesting to me. I tend to not be a 'break taker'. Once I stop playing a game, I tend to get out of the habit completely until I just don't come back. Even if I return, I soon leave even if I can 'catch up'.  So I was pretty sure if I left I would be done with hearthstone.

Then I saw a thread talking about wild and realized I had never touched wild, and it seemed silly to talk about not finding interesting things to do and ignoring a good 3rd of the game.  So I tried it and loved it.  Later on, Frozen Throne came along that made me want to play Standard again so I moved back, but now I know if I get bored of it I can go back to wild, or focus more on single player or arena before turning to other things.

And sometimes that's what people need: a change of pace, a new way of looking a the same game.

As to the OP, I can't really offer more than what Artic did except my own experience. And for myself I found that I enjoy the game most when I look at Ranked differently from most. to me, Ranked is 20-15 with anything past that being 'legend'.  Thus I make a bit of effort to get to 'top rank' then relax afterwards.  As far as decks, I usually avoid decks that are 'solved'.  Conjure mage is already good so why in the hades do I need to waste time playing it when I can just watch a streamer do the same?

I prefer 'partially solved' ones.  Decks that have a backbone but aren't fleshed out yet (at least in a way that I know of it).  I fell in love with Muckmorpher Shaman recently as it seems a powerful concept but had big questions of how to survive aggro and how to avoid getting dead hands.  I'm pretty sure someone has 'fixed' it since then but I'm not interested in digging deep to find out and rather try to tinker on it on my own.  Before then Rumble made me LOVE heal paladin.  In fact I'm still interested in revisiting the Spirits there and see if I can make some of those things work (except Shark, which has already been proven to work).

So that's where most of my time goes, finding decks that are half broken and trying to fix them. Occasionally I'll see a deck that's just FUN and play it regardless.  I'm pretty sure if I get the druid quest when I open my packs I'm  netdecking that deck with no shame.

I don't really focus on how often I see XYZ decks from my opponents.  I hang around rank 20-15 so I see a good bit of variety and a lot of top tier decks handled very VERY badly.  in the end I see them the same way I see AI opponents.  If I play Mario, I expect to see Bowser, so I'm mostly replaying to find new ways to beat him.  Same here: Bomb warrior showing 50 times in a row is just 50 times I get to try and master different strategies: see if Muck beats it, see if Tess Rogue does it, see if I can get a Reno deck to work on it.  My joy isn't in what they do, but what I do to them.

  • Ez 12w Shadow Cloak

So, umm, congrats on the ez 12 wins I guess? Meanwhile I got completely steamrolled and went 0-3. At least one of the decks that beat me was just bad (crocolisk and swamp ooze both made appearances), and one was a weird dragon warrior. So yeah, tip for others - don't go Zayle.

  • Make Sir Finley great again!

Last things first, Zilliax is included in the list.

At the moment it's a midrangy deck I would say:

There are still some cards I'm not sure about and I'll do some playtesting but that's my current version.

Thanks a lot for your productive feedback!

Ahh I never noticed that arrow, great to know that it's available. Thank you very much for the reply and setting up this website, keep up the good work!

Why the fuck are there so many Big Priests in casual?!

The fact that half of them run Activate the Obelisk makes me all the angrier.  Just when you think you're actually going to play against someone who's mentally competent enough to make a fun and interesting homebrew deck, NOPE IT'S JUST MORE AUTO-PILOT WHEELCHAIR PRIEST!

At least go play your broken shit on ladder and stop ruining my attempts to have fun and experiment every other game!

Seriously, how bad are these guys with these decks? I almost exclusively play janky decks in wild casual, my winrate is probably round 40% tops. Today, I still met 2 Big Priests, a Mech Hunter and an Odd Paladin. Seems as if matchmaking is pretty hard - not enough players in wild, I suppose.

PS: I at least beat one of the Big Priests.
