Going by their own design, they seem to be conditional lategame tools, but not necessarily gamesealers.
I think that some of them will pass the meta test, but only because they are embedded in an already solid deck. Most of them will fail, either on their own, or because they won't find a fitting deck.
Overall, i would focus on decks first, conceiving these new Quests as some sort of strong tech card.
The name of the year has nothing to do with the expansions in it.. it was like this since the rotation started, if there's a relation it's quite vague it was the most connected on the year of the kraken (WOTOG-> tentacles, MSOG-> pirates-> sea-> kraken stories) , so.. this doesn't mean anything this is just a name.
I keep hearing people say this. So what ? How many mammoths did we have in the year of the mammoth ? And how many ravens in year of the raven ? When will you guys understand the name of the year is not related to the theme of its expansions...... It is literally only the zodiac sign of this years hearthstone rotation. It could be anything man. Year of the dragon just sounds a lot cooler than idk, year of the worm ?

Year of the Mammoth - Mammoth was a reference to Primordial Beasts/creatures, We saw a lot and they also didn't say it will be the theme of the whole year.
Year of the Raven - Raven was a reference to Witches, That expansion's theme is all about Witches and even Hagatha was enough to theme around; They also didn't say it will be the theme of the whole year.
When you say "the theme will be the same in all expansions this year", People expect to see related things to the name of the year. They didn't expect to see E.V.I.L in all expansions. They chose between E.V.I.L. and Dragons and they chose E.V.I.L. part. It appeared that "All year's theme" is E.V.I.L.
In my opinion, They should have named this year after Arch-Villain Rafaam, not Dragons but I know that I will end up wrong after we saw last expansion because it probably will be related to Deathwing and we all will say "OH, RIGHT! This is really year of the Dragons."
Look those good guys, Hunter(Alexstrasza), Druid(Ysera), Mage(Malygos), Paladin(Nozdormu). We might see Deathwing coming and Dragon Aspects fighting with them, maybe !?
Maybe next expansion will be a Deathwing centered one and then we'll have plenty of dragons I reckon. All speculation obviously.

Well, mammoths and ravens aren't Hearthstone tribes; but dragons are.
forest's aid is the only reason you would play this card. and I don't think token druid will be able to reliably draw both of those cards to get this combo to work.

Loving the site. I noticed the Achievements are up and running, but the colours used to show which Achievements have been completed and which ones have not are extremely difficult to tell apart for someone who is colourblind (i.e. me).
I didn't watch the stream but it sounds like this is no different from a Discover effect - so why didn't they just use the "Discover" keyword instead? "Wish for the perfect card" makes it sound like you will be given one card with no choice involved.
Sadly, it seems that Blizzard has sacrificed clarity and consistency for flavor (using "wish" because he is a Djinni).
Discover still involves a random element, like 'pick from three random cards of this type'. This analyzes the state of the match when it is played and determines the perfect cards for any given situation. If the situation is the same, it will give the same results. It also adds flavour with it being a lamp and all. It literally fulfills that moment when you think 'damn, i really would benefit from a Flamestrike right now or Pyroblast next turn'.

Tough call for best flavour text of the set, but I would say Plague of Flames, Living Monument, Supreme Archaeology, Dark Pharaoh Tekahn, and Crystal Merchant are all strong contenders.
