Since im a huge fan of highlander decks it is Elise the Enlightened for me. Giving the opportunity to play highlander with decks that couldn`t be played in Mean Streets is a great idea. Im curious if its actually gonna be viable, but since i prefer playing a slower control style, i`ll try to make those decks work somehow.
I feel like the folks detracting this are kinda underestimating how good Immune While Attacking is. Smack your face into a giant, and it's like you've healed for 8 damage.
Meanwhile, Spectral Cutlass isn't perfect. Without Deadly Poison on it, it's only 2 attack--not a lot of removal, and not a lot of healing. You have to draw it, which means you probably need to run Raiding Party (a decent card, but now the Cutlass Package is at least 6 cards). Meanwhile, you're vulnerable to weapon removal with Cutlass (Ancient Blades only takes two mana to reactivate), and there's issues with playing weapons from other classes with Cutlass.
Bazaar Burglary is just going to be super consistent. Starts in your hand, and is just a straight upgrade to your hero power doing what you normally want to do. You can fit a bit more removal, draw, or card-generation to your deck with the slots you gain after cutting the Cutlass package. That probably makes the deck overall more consistent, which is a good thing with a "created by" strategy.
Your reasoning is also binary, on the opposite side, by exaggeration.
Salt was added to the water, but still drinkable. You are attaching the fact it is undrinkable by implying that salty is too salty. But that's your opinion. If we agree on not agreeing it is actually too salty, then your suggestions about diluting the water with more water are just a subjective point.
No I'm not. I'm really really not. I'm explicitly making a relative argument. The amount of reaching and adding on assumptions you had to do to turn a straightforward example of something being relative (less or more salty) into a binary (somehow?) is astonishing. Why do you persist with this? Do you genuinely not understand what I'm saying? Just answer the question: Which is MORE salty, a glass of clean water or a glass of water with 1 spoon of salt? This isn't a trick question.

Let me reformulate this way: Odd/Even mechanic is slightly more repetitive than normal, yet not enough to deserve any sorts of alterations.
It's definitely not as repetitive as you depict it, by far.
There's still plenty of decision-making in the form of each card that requires to be played. And guess what? Odd/Even decks play the same number of cards as any other decks in the game.
Having an improved HP essentially means that the starting question for your turn ought to be "Do I want to press the button?", and you need a really compelling reason not to do it.
But yes, Baku decks have 30 cards just like any other deck.
I said it in my post, some salt in the water has been added. We all agree on that. But now the point is: is the water undrinkable?
The decks do hold a component of repetitiveness, but is it so heavy to warrant for a nerf/alteration of the very core mechanic, as it is the point of the thread?
Or are we arguing about repetitiveness just for the sake of it? And you do not care of nerf? Because if that's the case, the argument was over like tons of posts ago.
If you do not care of a nerf, then my bad (but then why are we even arguing? whta's the point?).
If that's not the case, and if you are arguing in favor of a nerf for Genn/Baku, and you are doing so based on the concept of repetitiveness, you can't stop at determining that salt has been added to water (salted), that they include a repetitive perk. You have to prove the water is undrinkable (salty), that repetitiveness is a defining factor of ALL these decks.
A nerf requires a full-blown reason, not just a relative one. Relative repetitiveness is a moot point.
And Odd/Even decks don't just have 30 cards in their lists, like any other deck, but they have to play them, turn by turn, like any other deck. They still HP only when they have some mana left, or no better action to perform anyway. HP every turn, sparkling some cards here and there, is not an option. That would have made them seriously repetitive, the water salty/undrinkable, the very Odd/Even mechanic unbearable. But that is not the reality of things.
Wow you must be really good at Arena. I am lucky to get 3 wins lol. The only time I get high wins is during the Halloween event. I was able to combine mage and druid which are my two favorite classes in Hearthstone.
Definitely will see play...at least in my deck :P Say you just finished the new mage quest, hero powered a couple of turns so now your hand is full of spells, and then you play this card to make use of all the high mana spells you got. Or you could remove / refill your hand the turn before with a big cyclone turn on 9. Imagine the possible swings...a new archetype: swing mage.
10 wins is also my best, but that was only one time. I also don't play arena much. Kudos to you on your success. Even with the average winrates you mention, you must at least break even on rewards, right?
I wonder if this card speaks to Leeroy being rotated anytime soon. This is a very good card, I think it will see a bunch of play in anything aggro to midrange. Fuck, i think it'll probably be played in some control decks as well.
I been playing a Maly/taunt druid so I could use her. I don't really care for token druid. Her emotes are fun though! I really miss Frost Lich Jaina. She had some of the best!
I've been waiting for a card like this for a while. I love that it's a Pirate. Truthfully, though, I'm not sure Rogue needs it. Sap is more proactive, and costs half as much.
But, Rogue was hurting for good deathrattles, and this is not a bad one.
But Zilliax is magnetic? If you dont want it resummoned, just buff something. I even added 4 mana 2/4 with divine shield, same reason, really. It also makes Kangor's more proactive, which is good. And since I dropped all murlocs besides Finley, because even best case Anyfin is underwhelming, it makes space for both Zilliax and Rotten Applebaum anyway. Some other additions: Tirion (surprised he wasnt in a deck to begin with), Loatheb, [Hearthstone Card (Mecahno-egg) Not Found], Deathlord - in short, full deathrattle.
Even though I understand that the healing is wide open, 15 is still a lot. You basically have to (1) play some manner of Pyro turbo stuff to activate this or (2) just take it crazy slow.
This is a strong effect, but the deck building aspect is going to take a lot of iteration.
I think this card could realistically slot into Mage and Shaman, but I'm not sure either of those decks need this. Druid, however, I could see trying to use this.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. that is probably on the top 3 for best quests. burgling 4 cards is super easy, and the ability to blast 2 guys for 3 for just 2 mana is incredible. this card will probably bump burgle rogue to tier 2, if not tier 1. this will crush aggro, especially in wild with halucinaition, and that 1/1 pirate guy I still cannot remember the name of.
This isn't doing much for me. 6-mana, 3/4's are fucking awful, even when they're good. There are just a lot of cards that perform similar roles but are better cards.

Yes, many times, even from 11-0 to 11-3. You have to understand that at these high wins, everyone has a great deck. So if you get unlucky and draw poorly for couple of first turns, that creates an enormous deficit for you in most situations, since your opponent can tempo out with a strong deck.
Could be just bad luck and not much you can do about it. Could be you actually got lucky and got to high wins with a subpar deck where you always drew the half of the deck that carried you and now you are drawing from the worse half. Could be number of things really. Like i said, at these high wins, everyone has a great deck so it is more volatile than around 3-5 wins for example, where you might be steamrolling with a much better deck than your opponents have.
Congrats to a pretty high WR overall, you obviously know what ur doing, so just keep at it and you will break through ;-)

New Mage Spell - Flame Ward
As far as secrets go, this one is playable. But I think Mage will still need more secrets if that deck wants to be a thing.
