"Move to end the debate" HAHAHAHA. No offense, but do you really think people would stop whining about it?

  • Hearthstone Saviors of Uldum Developer AMA Recap

I am not sure i can stand any more of their BS about Big Priest.

It's ridiculous how they do not notice or purposedly ignore the fact the deck is so broken as to be toxic for the fun in Wild.

  • Unstable Togwaggle Rogue

Hi! Nice deck/ Definitely, Pilfer will be an awesome card in the future meta!

Once again they beat around the bush on a lot of the questions without actually answering what was asked.

    Not surprised in the slightest.

  • Archmage Vargoth and Time Warp

    Quote From AliRadicali

Is it really that much easier to combo Time Warp with Vargoth + win condition(s) than the traditional win conditions of time warp decks? Sure, it improves consistency to add an alternate win condition, but these decks are typically so tightly stretched that you're sacrificing consistency in card draw or defense to include it.

It isn't. Vargoth is rarely, if ever, used in mage combo decks.

Blizzard: "We butchered Kingsbane Rogue because it invalidates control decks."

Also Blizzard: "We don't want to nerf Barnes because we're afraid it might hurt big priest."

Hey Blizzard, take a look at the wild meta and tell me how many control decks you see, will you? Wanna know why that is? Because they're being invalidated by big priest.

And oh heavens no please don't hurt big priest, anything but that! It's not like the majority of wild players want that deck to have the most gruesome, painful death possible.

Also, their reasoning for not giving priest a good classic board clear seems like a bad excuse for them being too afraid to create a new classic card that might actually be good.

I agree Divine Spirit is bad for card design. Since the start of the game, about five years, there is Divine Spirit Inner Fire combo. It's an eternal archetype. One of these cards has to go to the Hall of Fame. If Divine Spirit stays, it will be unplayable alone. If Inner Fire stays, it'll still generate good value with high health minions like Mosh'Ogg Enforcer and Witchwood Grizzly.

    Gold priest player here.

Glad to see Divine Spirit outed.

Inner Fire to me has been a crappy way for priest to win. It's "GOT NOTHING" win condition for the newbie player at best who has few cards or those new to priest, and if it's the only viable win condition for the class, that means priest set currently HAS NOTHING.

And Inner Fire decks are about as lazy as shaman and druids waiting for a full board to do their bloodlust/roar buff.

Thing is, with the "wise" thematic folks at the helm that thought Mind Blast was out-of-place for a priest, just HOW THE HELL DOES THE CLASS WIN if you take this other win condition?

Death Knight Anduin is gone, rez is a wild thing (for better or worse), shadow effects barely get attention, silence decks are dead in the water if you don't get your debuff cards AND targets for them early, thief priest is helpless against hyper aggro or synergy decks (like murlocs and treants), and there isn't a coherent tribal group for priests (dragons, deathrattles, mechs, elementals) at the moment.

PS Barnes is actually a weak spot of Big Priest. Sure, we all get sour on turn 3/4 shenanigans, but he ends up being a liability if he's still in the deck by turn 6 or so. It would be better to unnerf Raza and bring back Machine Gun Priest as Option B for the priest crowd, plus it just might counter Big Priest.

Hey thanks for pointing that out - it looks like I was missing Alec on my tracker. I've since added him and updated the post.

We will be adding another Lackey in Saviors of Uldum. Expanding the pool changes how you think about Lackeys and what outs you are looking for, like 2 damage or that clutch spell you were looking for. Lackeys are a year-long mechanic and we really wanted to shake things up with each expansion.

Its more so that they always saw wild as a way to play old decks and being always able to play them. If changing Barnes meant the archetype completely died off, that's a negative for their wild philosophy.

I don't agree with it for record's sake. People have been having problems with the card since it existed in Standard. It was a poor choice of a print.

  • Hearthstone Saviors of Uldum Developer AMA Recap

People want it to harm the rez priest, that's the entire reason for the nerf calls. How have they not understood this? Fair enough if they'd said it would damage other decks but don't give exactly what we want as the reason they don't want to do it

  • Hearthstone Saviors of Uldum Developer AMA Recap

    • Kingsbane Rogue was nerfed because the deck invalidated most control strategies.
    • Barnes has the team in a rough spot. Changing it could hurt the Res Priest archetype. Dean Ayala thinks it may be okay though.
  • Hearthstone Saviors of Uldum Developer AMA Recap

How many times will they "consider" the Barnes/Big Priest situation before they finally make a decision on it? Curious if they'll kick this can down the road forever. One way or another, they need to decide already: convince people the deck is alright, or make a change. If the archetype is not a problem, then state as such and move to end the debate; stalling for time just makes people mad.

    Thanks so much!

For those who want to know the rewards:

    • LevelUp - 1 Core 2020 Packs + XP
    • BROUGHTBACK - 1 Core 2020 Packs + XP
  • I changed my mind on MTG Arena

HS is still fun here and there. However I do not enjoy it nearly as much as MTG. I think that the point of MTG is that you can only focus on a few decks instead of every single card in the game. I mainly play casual and get to Diamond on Ladder. In casual there are a lot of decks to play against, I play around with the collection I have. I did use about $150. (I have spent about $600 in Hearthstone over the last four years. There a lot of dead cards in HS that never see play at all.)

I looked around and drafted with a purpose not 100% to win every run but to create the decks I wanted. Took a while to decide what I wanted to choose. I decided on Mono-Red, Feather and Simic Ramp. I was able to get those decks with in three weeks. I had about 8 drafts that went 5-7 wins, which make it a profit or break even ( I also had some 1-2 wins.)

I did a lot of reading and learning in order to get what I wanted. Mainly my idea was to get a control deck (ramp simic), Midrange (feather), aggro mono-red.

I am going to wait and see if i want to chase after white winnie or just save for Esper (but they are loosing a few key tools in the fall.) I refuse to craft anything that will rotate in the fall.

There will not be any money spent on HS anymore. The main reason I played HS was because of mobile however playing complex decks on mobile is just too much. So now that I play on my computer MTG is the way to go.

  • Idea for a new cosmetic item

I'd be all for it, but it would probably cost us a raid tier... er an expansion to utilize the resources to get it implemented.

  • Archmage Vargoth and Time Warp

The combo really isn't problematic. All it does is allow you a different way to combo the opponent done with a less tired combo that may require more mana than 2 turns allows.

Also consider that if you are in the position where any type of otk mage is using Time Warp against you then you already lost the game at that point anyway, regardless of whether Vargoth existed as a card or not. For example, I use a Vargoth + Time Warp for Maly OTK. However, say Vargoth was completely deleted from the game. Okay, then Quest Mages would just switch to the Antonidas or Giants + Alex combo and you'd be dead when they cast Time Warp against you anyway. The extra 3rd turn is completely cosmetic in that allows you a different combo to win with. In the end you lose to any deck when you get Time Warp cast against you.

hey they added another code that works to reduce the backlash from the Mastery Tree

    BROUGHTBACK

  • Explore Un'Goro Control Warrior

I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! And good question!

Typically by the time you do execute your combo your deck (now your opponent's new deck) is usually a lot smaller than their deck (now your new deck, turned into the Choose Your Path spells). Many of my games have seen a 5+ card difference in fatigue so that is why my opponents usually switch back, otherwise they're guaranteed to lose the fatigue battle due to the fatigue damage.

Does that help answer your question?

  • Here's some art, make a card! [Legacy Game]

    Not very original, but...

    Next: A Legendary minion.

  • Game will not run on mobile Android since 14.6 update

I've had all manner of problems running it on my Kindle.  Multiple re-installs and it's still flaky.  Very annoying.

  • Dragon Paladin in #Standard

Now that you mentioned standard.. I don't think you can even build a functional dragon paladin deck using wild as well.. Dragon paladin was never really well supported there are 6 cards ever released for dragon paladin Dragon Consort looks good.. but... no actual dragon to support released in his cycle or at all..

Cathedral Gargoyle ? yeah this card is good only if there was a reason to play dragon paladin other than a Shielded Minibot with taunt.

I just don't see why go dragons in paladin..

Firetree Witchdoctor is a great card just that in paladin... too many secrets and situational spells make it a MEH card.

    Now.. looking at the deck..

Da Undatakah - What is he doing in the deck? you got 2 deathrattles which don't impact the board.. I don't see how he fits the deck.

I see 2 more problems: no answer to falling behind, there are no comeback cards you play nosari for 10 mana and then you get to 10 hp again since you dind't deal with the board.

the other problem is no clear win condition... how does this deck wins.. it does too much of fair stuff..

This deck need pyromancers, get rid of some weird cards like the undatakah, and add more unfair cards to the deck..

Dragon paladin is a joke by how badly supported it is.

  • Game will not run on mobile Android since 14.6 update

I've been hearing some people having issues, so there's definately something going on.  I could get in touch with Blizzard officially as well as check out reddit.

As for myself, LG Aristo 2 Android 8.1  Havn't had any issues at any point and I only play on my phone.
