The deck changes look pretty good, although I have mixed feelings about the nerfs to certain bosses. On the one hand, fuck Haro Setting-sun with a rake, what a disgusting deck and hero power. OTOH, facing these nerfed version when you've already beaten their more powerful predecessors robs the experience of the sense of achievement.
I'm glad the devs are more responsive to feedback but I'm worried they might be a bit *too* responsive, and it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. Heroic wouldn't be very heroic if it were a cakewalk.
Oh man, that was a great post and I'll write a proper response once I do a little more testing tonight (went down a Prismatic Mecha'thun hole last night which was fun but not too promising).
However, I saw that the next episode of DD was posted so I wanted to get the weekly Firebat-Selected (FS) deck uploaded while it's fresh!
Challenge #3 - Hybrid Hunter (FS) -
Apparently Firebat got some grief for making a "meta" deck last week by picking Control Shaman, so this week he hopes to appease the meme gods with a Control Hunter operation :D The deck was submitted by Bored Certified who sought to create a mech/beast hybrid that generates a lot of "created by" value.
As a result, this week's FS challenge is to create a Hybrid Hunter! You're encouraged to explore mech/beast synergies at first, but if you think murlocs, dragons, or some other hybrid would be stronger then go for it!
At first glance this deck appears to follow the reasonable strategy of combining small packages of strong cards from different existing archetypes. There's a small beast pacakge to contest early boards, a mech package for the midgame which enables card draw, healing, and board clears, and then a strong spell package for the late game in the form of nine lives, dire frenzy, unleash the beast, and Zul'jin. You also have a Bloodmage Thalnos + Arcane Shot combo for some unexpected finishing damage...and there's a Countess Ashmore for its synergy with both the mech and beast packages.
C'mon, it's not aboout selfishness or hatred. I am not about new players getting that card back. I don't care they will get or not, I'm complaining about what blizzard do. Why the fuck I don't want someone gets something free.
I am just saying this; maybe I could have played something else in that month, or I could have spent my time something else, Maybe I liked that card back so much and I renounced something else to be able to get that card back. They never know, You never know.
I am saying Blizzard betrayed to my loyalty. How hard could it be to understand ?
Fuck new players, Fuck cardbacks. Why the fuck I am on a silly cardback which i never used ? Yes, I never used that Ragnaros cardback. I am just saying blizzard broke my loyalty with doing this. That's all.
I wouldn't say they're doing this spinelessly. It's as simple as they either make the changes, as are likely requested by some Chinese official, or they say goodbye to Hearthstone revenue in China. It's not likely that they picked card art to change arbitrarily either. My hunch is that these were specific cards that some Chinese official pointed out in a review of the games assets. And sure, they could've just doctored the image to remove the sexuality or gore. Why they didn't do that is less clear. My guess would be that the cards simply didn't have much identity, so aquiring new art is acceptable and cheaper than requesting edits to existing art. It's less likely that they'd go this route with cards like Kel'Thuzad given the flavor and identity of the card. If that's their logic, the Scourge should be safe from any major art changes.
We're not given too much to go with, but from what clues are out there I'd say Finley is the more likely paladin and Reno ends up as the mage by process of elimination, despite it not fitting his character remotely. The golden fish that Finley uses as a cudgel in the cinematic is definitely more paladin themed, and that class has had past murloc synergies. Meanwhile, Reno's crystal gadget strikes me more as a technomagical mage weapon than a paladin artefact, and the explosion he uses to escape the sand wurm looks more like a fiery mage spell than something holy.
yeah you might be right, It is the most confusing part of this expansion for me already.
Even Sir Finley Mrrgglton name could be a refferance that Finley's class. It makes me think that like "Hey, can a mage be a sir? or A Paladin Sir is more suitable ?"
And the weapon Finley holds in the cinematic, Mages don't use weapons in Hearthstone. So yeah, Porbably Finley is Paladin and Reno is Mage. Finley even might have a text like "equip x/x weapon". Which is that golden fish-y artifact.

A must-add to any Dragon or Battlecry oriented deck. Should also be relatively easy to acquire from a Classic pack for players that have been around a while as the game won't give us a duplicate Legendary if it can be avoided.
I'm not sure the Censorship changes are due to China entirely. I mean back in MoP when Oondasta was a Fresh World boss, I remember a Post on MMO-C of the "Chinese Censored" Player deaths. Instead of Skeletons everywhere their were Tombstones. to mark your dead body. Also Wrath of the Lich King was delayed release, if I remember, in china due to having to censor all the Skulls and Bones. Imagine what their Naxx and ICC looked like. Both examples are Blizzard making separate Client side changed for a specific region with stricter Censorship laws. I personally think they are doing this to be more "Family Friendly". The Eviscerate change reminds me more of the "Unholy Strength" change Wizards of the Coast did in Magic: the Gathering. From Alpha to Revised there was a Pentagram in the artwork, come Fourth addition it was removed, due to outcry from religious firebrands. This all reeks like Sylvanas getting "proper armor", back in 7.0 (?). Blizzard is trying to erase anything that even looks erotic or violent it seems.
So will Multi-Shot deal 3x2 damage to one minion now? The text doesn't say "two different random enemy minions". So if there's is only 1 minion on there board, it should logically "randomly" hit the same minion with both shots. Just saying...

Dr. Boom's Boombox
Generates boom bots.
New Neutral Minion - Brightwing
I like this card in my Shaman Dragon Battlecry deck. I really like the animation it does when played too. It is cool.

I'll miss that Headcrack art :(
New Druid Spell - Untapped Potential
I’m surprised to see no one has mentioned the reference to Magic The Gathering: “untapped” referring to untapped lands (unused mana).
New Neutral Minion - Brightwing
A must-add to any Dragon or Battlecry oriented deck. Should also be relatively easy to acquire from a Classic pack for players that have been around a while as the game won't give us a duplicate Legendary if it can be avoided.
New Priest Spell - Plague of Death
It's an excellent card that's fairly priced. Now the question is whether Priest can actually survive long enough to use it.

Well it sucks we're having this issue but I'm glad I'm not alone lol. Hopefully they fix it soon.
