  • Guide to making a Basic Set for Custom Classes

Updated to include Plaguebringer and Radiance.

Even without Vanish, Rogue still has an AoE effect (Fan of Knives), so it's still important to have one even if it's an intended weakness for the class.

Isn't Sand Attack a better Hammer of Wrath?

It is better but not strictly better since Hammer of Wrath can target face whereas Sand Attack cannot. Hammer of Wrath is not a very good card to begin with, so I thought making it 3 mana with the minions-only restriction was fair.

I will post more decks another day.

Hakkar is an interesting idea with this.

Don't have it so I subbed in the crappier version Arena Fanatic

  • Report feature?

I've dealt with that account. It's definitely an important feature for the site with high priority. At the moment there's some other key features that would be a bit more valuable, but if spam such as this begins to be an issue a solution will be devised. Thanks for letting us know about this spam! Will definitely be on the lookout for more.

  • Combine "Edit Cards" and "Edit Guide" Into a Single Button: Edit

FWIW I really dislike the Hpwn system because it doesn't allow you to just edit the text of a description/guide without clicking past the decklist editor. I vastly prefer this one.

  • I would try him but sadly, I don't have him. All of my games so far ended before I was in a situation where drawing weasels became a drawback, so I don't think he's necessary.

  • Combine "Edit Cards" and "Edit Guide" Into a Single Button: Edit

Wow, what a thoughtful paragraph. Your reasoning is so amazing that you changed my mind completely. I prefer the system we are using as of now, please don't change it. No need to waste time and "fossilize" the deckbuilder for my trivial request.

So, you can close the thread if needed, Flux. I'm glad to see that your devotion is what really makes Deckbuilder nourishing/evolving. For the Deckbuilder 😁

  • Report feature?

    Quote From FrostyFeet

No reporting function yet, sadly. But luckily no spam armada either.

I've now deleted the post in question. If you notice something that requires moderator action, you can (for now, before report system is in place) make a thread to alert us or contact us via Discord (link at the bottom of this site).

Might not wanna say that too early. Same thread, different post...

  • Which was the hardest Deck ever to be played in Standard ?

I've opened an issue for this so we can get it implemented. Oversight on my part when we added golden support for card image embeds =)

  • Combine "Edit Cards" and "Edit Guide" Into a Single Button: Edit

I understand some convenience by having both under one, but I don't want to use another site as an example of how to do it "right". Although it would feel familiar, there are serious downsides to consider when putting them together.

The big one for me is I want the guide editing experience to be unhampered by a deckbuilding having to load all the cards and data. The deckbuilder on Out of Cards, although blazing fast when you compare it to the fossil that is HearthPwn, is still extra overhead for someone that just wants to edit their description. The amount of time I have personally wasted on editing small description changes over the years could have written so many more articles or deck guides on the site! I received a lot of feedback over the years that also disliked how slow it was for simple edits.

Another downside is I'd like to do a lot of really cool custom stuff to help people build better deck guides, and putting all that on the deckbuilder page, even if you had some kind of tabbed view (not a huge fan of tabbed views FWIW), may be too much. It also means people expect to have that information on the regular deckbuilder page and that isn't the goal I originally had for the system. The original goal for the deckbuilder was to make it really easy to save decks to the site. Add your cards, give it a name, make sure the archetype and deck type are correct and hit save. Most people don't write guides and use the site to store their decks meaning having to go through a guide editor only to ignore it would be counter productive.

I do see why you'd want to be able to edit both though. If you are changing cards around, there's a decent chance you want to talk about it. Perhaps a better solution would when you are editing a deck's cards, you'd be able to click "save cards" or "save cards and edit guide", the latter saving your cards and bringing you over to the guide page meaning there's one less button to click overall.

  • Better Mecha'Thun (NO BOOMSHIP)

It's a good idea, I did not like to put Execute because normally I do not leave many minions in the field since most are battlecry, but Archmage Vargoth can be an interesting option, as long as it is not your last card, because it is a difficult to kill.

  • Combine "Edit Cards" and "Edit Guide" Into a Single Button: Edit

I think there could be room to compromise between both implementations.

It could remain as it is now, but with the addition of allowing the user to still edit the guide on the same page as the deck builder as well as separately after it is created.

I think there should still be an option to edit the guide separately because it is unnecessary to load the deck builder in that case, especially on mobile.

  • Unable to scroll down in mobile menu, cannot collapse expanded items

    See this screenshot:

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/qaKRtXBq7wDxjddY8

I can't scroll further down, there is no way to access Forum>Members or the Pack Giveaway section, they remain below the fold. If I click Forums again in an attempt to to collapse the menu item, instead it takes me to the forum page.

I think there are some solutions, including:

    • Allow scrolling further down
    • Allow collapsing menu items
    • Disallow expanding menu items (on mobile)
  • A Weekend of Wild Decks

That Secret Paladin looks sweet. I should give it a try.

  • [OOC-89] Golden Card Thumbnail

Not to be confused with "cardimg gold" script, which I'm aware of. Let's say I want to show Pyros. It shows normal. However, I can't show its golden version with "cardgold" or "card gold" script. So, I will ask: Isn't this feature implemented or is there a way to show golden card thumbnail within words?

Guys, thanks for all the comments. Played 10 games since, strangely only one Big Priest. Rank 4. I'll play some more, probably the next season and come back here with impressions.

Did you beat the big priest?

    Of course, not. :

  • A Weekend of Wild Decks

I played a match against that odd hunter deck, while I was playing the dragon hunter deck that’s on the front page. They didn’t stand a chance. I highly suggest trying out that dragon hunter deck. It’s amazing

  • Combine "Edit Cards" and "Edit Guide" Into a Single Button: Edit

I will clarify what I meant by that: If you remember well, on Hearthpwn, we used to access Mana Curve/Cards first, followed by Guide Editor where you can write a guide/name the archetype and such. In OutofCards, they are separated by two buttons. What if they are merged under "Edit" button so that we can switch between sections with the help of toggles? Rather than saving each time, one-time save would be convenient.

I'm sorry that my English isn't that good. So, what do you think of this idea?

  • New Classic Card

If you are missing actually good classic cards it's better to open packs now rather than after they are released, those cards are kinda worthless really, except the legendaries which are ok I guess..

  • Which Warlock Deck to Build?

    Quote From Pullanisu

Renolock is the best and most fun guaranteed

Renolock being the best is just plain wrong. Check literally any meta report and there'll be at least 3 warlock decks above renolock always.

@Jaybaseball1: I couldn't find any treachery warlock gameplay on youtube. You'd have most luck checking through Renojackson's (t.tv/renojackson_hs) VODs.

  • A Weekend of Wild Decks

You don't have to apologize for showcasing my C'Thun deck.   The master can be very convincing.

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

It took me all format to get here, but it’s time for Mad Genius to be nerfed or HOF’d.

Warrior is reaching Druid levels of dominance and variety. It can go aggro, midrange, and/or super long, and the shell is all the same. And the shell is held together by the Hero card.
