i didnot get where the vargoth gives u value? What is the go to move here..

While it may feel strange to see him without the usual support, I find Archmage Vargoth to be very useful in Control in general. I put him in the deck, in order to get an extra cast on Twilight's Call (especially if I'm in a tough situation and I want to complete the quest ASAP; I could summon additional Convincing Infiltrators and delay the opponent's aggression), Shadow Visions and Entomb (which is exceptionally valuable against Big Priests). In some cases he could be useful when casting a Spirit Lash, Mass Hysteria and Lightbomb twice. I use him in those cases, when I'm desperate for a clear and my initial AoE didn't destroy all minions on the board (I play Vargoth after casting the AoE).

Alongside this deck I play a pure meme one, where I run Mind Control. I don't recommend running this 10-mana spell, because aggro decks like mech hunter and odd pala are way too dominant and can punish you hard for running a dead and situational card. If you want to give more value for Vargoth, I suggest running a second Spirit Lash (you would increase your winrate against faster decks) and/or maybe a Divine Hymn instead of a Greater Healing Potion. If you aren't convinced by those examples, then I'd suggest you replace him with either a taunt deathrattle minion - a second Sludge Belcher or a Rotten Applebaum - or Bloodmage Thalnos for extra cycle.

[edit] I can't believe I forgot to write the most obvious interaction. In addition to what I said above, you can also use Vargoth in combination with the spells you stole from your opponent for extra sspicy memes. ;)

  • Is it worth buying Wild Adventures?

Yeah. I'm looking at certain archetypes I like and think I want LoE, Naxx and maybe Karazhan. I'll keep looking, but I've crossed out Blackrock for now.

  • PvE Guides For Bosses

So, just like the Hearthpedia? Sounds cool.

Man, I don't ever play wild nor even a lot of priest in standard, but that guide was so much fun to read! Thanks for the time and the dedication you invested there, I truely appreciate it.

Thanks for your kind words, but imho it would be a good idea to give wild a try. Back when I was a devoted standard player, I came in wild occasionally just to play some fun decks (either in casual or in the lower ranks) and to chill out. I played Steal Priest (ofc), Randuin (feat. Yogg), Dane's Factory Rogue, Jade Rogue, Jade Shudderwock Shaman, Shudder-Yogg Shaman, Reno Mage, Renolock (out of nostalgia) and Dane's Reno hunter. So if you don't feel like laddering in wild, that's ok; you could always give casual a try. I recommend watching Roffle and Dane, because you might get an inspiration to try out something wacky.

    Cool guide!

As titled, took this way for granted on the other site.

This being looked into or can we put it on the cards so to speak XD

  • what is your favorite pokemon generation?

I am old school so 1 is the best obviously but I really liked sun and moons designs a lot, some of those new ones are really awesome

  • Wild Odd Warrior best list?

Odd warrior sounds absolutely terrible in wild...

You can't rat, you can't giest, can't saboteur, can't dead man's hand, can't hecklebot so you auto lose to any infinite value, mill or OTK decks

Big priest is big priest.  Even the fast decks have tons of big threats like giants that you won't have enough removal for because you can't play execute or omega devastator

The odd hero power was good when it was standard because it counters burn based decks, which don't really exist in wild right now.  IMO, you're just sacrificing your chances to win against real meta decks in order to better your matchup against things that don't exist.  Non-odd control warrior is better and I've had modest success with it last season

But if you really must play odd warrior, I wouldn't recommend teching any cards against fatigue.  The best you can do is add in 10 or so bad cards but any good deck that will let you hit fatigue in the first place will have the ability to add a lot more than just 10 (or just kill you), meaning you still lose.  Better to accept the auto loss to such decks and save card slots for more winnable matchups.  Control warlock is super rare and not work teching for.  They can get lucky and pull your tech card anyway

realy nice deck, thanks 4 that. i played a few games and i didnot get where the vargoth gives u value? What is the go to move here..

  • what is your favorite pokemon generation?

I like both gen 4 and gen 5. Cant really pick between em.

Gen 4: Good music, the first pokemon game that had wifi/wireless communications, and the highest difficulty games in the entire history of pokemon. (Main series) Platinum was my favorite gen 4 game, because its really challenging (Who didn't have trouble with fantina as the 3rd gym leader) And Synthia is just an awesome champion and Always a blast to fight. This gen also gave us the Special/attack split, which made competative pokemon more interesting. It also had pokemon that can walk behind you, which was an amazing feature. (Yes i'm counting the gen 2 remakes as gen 4 games) It also had battle Frontiers, which is where is spent a lot of time, its just unfortunate that these games were the last ones with a battle frontier... Game Freak please dont be lazy and add one in a eventual gen 4 Remake...

Gen 5: I know its not a populair gen, but i love it regardless. Its i.m.o the Best gen in terms of Story. I really like that gamefreak actually made a (At the time) new pokemon game that had only new pokemon available. (And ofc, older pokemon after game) It's quite funny that people were asking for this, only to hate it a lot once they got it. they improved the important trainer Poses/animations a lot compared to Gen 4. They also made some Really good music for the games. It is also the first generation that uses its 2nd game as an actual sequel to the event of the first game. Also in black/white 2 there is the PWT, so you can fight all gym leaders/champions from ALL generations prior to the games. Yeh the PWT might not be as good as the Battle Frontier that gen 3/4 had, but it was awesome regardless.

Anyways this is just my opinion.

  • [Game] Name another card that has the same...

    SN1P-SN4P

    (Can be) OP in Wild

  • what is your favorite pokemon generation?

In terms of Pokémon, gen 2. The designs were all very inspired, improving on the first generation which had a lot of "filler" Pokémon (Voltorb, Grimer, Ekans, etc.). Also, it introduced the Steel type, which has some of the coolest designed Pokémon in the entire series (Scizor, Steelix, Skarmory).

In terms of games, generation 4. HGSS are the pinnacle of Pokémon game design, with the physical/special split being absolutely necessary, more uniqueness between different Pokémon species (abilities) and individuals (natures) which they added in gen 3, and Pokémon following you were awesome. I don't feel like any addition post-generation 4 was as big as an improvement on the core gameplay as the physical/special split.

Any reply on that "issue" or maybe someone with a general work-around for android? I really hate that i have to use mobile view on my tablet

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

I feel like the random effects in TDH aren't random akazamzarak always polymorphs the highest value target, the novelist always kills the highest value target, and I had mostly a low curve deck s Haro and he mind games the only 2 big minions in the deck, he mind gamed a sylvannas!

On the bright side I did finish 2 TDH runs so that was nice.

  • How To: Collection Filters

Many thanks, much time searching for this kind of guide!

  • Is it worth buying Wild Adventures?

If you plan to play Wild in its full extent, with all kinds of decks and archetypes, from Aggro to Reno, then yes, it's definitely worth it.

But if your spectrum of archetypes is more selective, then you should check first.

  • Warlock Basics

Best class, hands down! Everyone starts with mage, but for real fun, Warlock and Rogue for me.

  • what is your favorite pokemon generation?

Generation 4! Diamond Pearl and Platinum but also the remakes. I really loved them, the pokemon walking with you was a dream and really I don't understand why they can't do it again, in particular with a better console like Switch. Then I remember "Dexit" (#BringBackNationalDex) and the fact that Game Freak is just so lazy...

  • Is it worth buying Wild Adventures?

    Quote From iWatchUSleep

Depends on what decks and cards you want.

Naxxramas and League of explorers have quite a few good cards that see play in today's meta. The other two... Not so much.

My advice would be to buy those two, if you really need those cards, and craft specific cards from the other two remaining adventures.

^ Basically this. It really depends on the type of decks you want to play. If you share your personal preferences with us, we can give you more specific tips on what to craft/buy.

Gen 5 is my favourite aswell, by far the most complete games. Especially B2W

the thing i loved the most about b/w 2 is the pokestar studios

I have to say I didnt enjoy that bit too much, but that had mainly to do with the forced tutorial about it after the second gym, the concept is pretty neat.

  • Playing on a budget: Which cards to disenchant?

Though there is a lot of good advice already here, I'd like to add a few things, being a veteran budget player:

    1. Don't overfocus on Legendaries. I started playing during GvG and often lost 'because' my opponents played cool legendaries, like Loatheb and Doctor Boom/ So I crafted Doctor Boom as soon as I could, and bought the Naxx adventure, so I had those cards too. I added them to my decks and... still lost! Turned out that I lost more to misplaying then too OP-OP cards.
    2. Though legendaries sometimes are essential in certain decks, at other times they are completely replaceable. Yes, Zilliax is a very good card, that because of its versatility and power can be tossed in almost any deck. But in most decks, it is very replaceable.  Keeper Stalladris is also an excellent example of a card that is very replaceable in token druid. On the other hand, Myra's unstable element is absolutely essential in Pogo rogue because you need to empty your deck to start shuffling Pogo Hoppers in. When looking at decks, try to understand which Legendaries are replaceable.
    3. Dusting is uneconomical! I mean REALLY! uneconomical ;)  You have 15 legendaries now. Suppose you dust them all and with your 500 dust, you can craft 4 legendaries. Now in 8 months time. some will rotate out and some will become useless because other cards from your deck rotated out. Let's assume secret paladin becomes meta and you want to craft Commander Rhyssa again - so you then dust your 4 useless legendaries... now you have lost your 14 other legendaries in the process!
    4. Don't overfocus on one or two decks. We have seen lots of nerfs in the past to commons are rares that made decks with 2 legendaries and 4 epics unplayable. That's 4800 dust down the drain. Focus on crafting cards that will always be playable/

    Hope this is useful :)

  • what is your favorite pokemon generation?

I like Gen 4 the most cause it has a lot of evolutions and improvements, also it's the first generation that got rid of the base type attacks and made the attacks stay usage based on move..

That made 0 sense I mean.. Ghost was physical.. After split all ghost attacks were special.. Same for dark all dark moves were actually physical.

It's not my fav Gen but I like Gen 5 there are many cool consepts there.

  • Hearthstone Tattoos

I was wondering if any of you has or considers getting them a hearthstone tattoo. If so, what motives did you choose? Add pictures if you like :)

I'm not sure yet, but every now and then the idea of doing something with the dragon at the top of legendary cards comes to my mind. Maybe above the collarbone or something.
