  • Soooo that other site..

Hearthpwn was great because of the people that built and ran it.

    Long live outofcards!

I'm kind of hold the opinion that it was a dick move by then to not allow Flux and the others to purchase the site saying they are going to shut it down. Then at the 11th hour once they had moved to here decided "hey let's just sell it anyway."

Chances are I'll probably still stay here since I'm hoping this is where Flux and co. Will keep updating cause they've shown us over the years that they care and want to keep the community thriving. However if they stay at "the other site", I may stay there as it's where I got my start with the hearthstone community.

All in all, I'm both happy and annoyed at this move by curse. Happy because Hearthpwn lives. Annoyed because as I said in the beginning dick move to sell to another party when Flux was showing an intrest to keep it alive.

A lot of variables go into why a site gets sold and to who it gets sold to. Can't really start flinging insults when you don't know the why behind the decisions they made.
From what it seems, the new owners have experience with running gaming websites already and had the resources and revenue in place to continue forward.

The question that would make more sense is if the new owners are reaching out to Flux to stay on.

did they reach out at all to flux to buy hearthpwn or was it just wait ... we can milk more ad revenue lets push it off to the next person who gives us money forget the fact that we were willing to screw the entire community and mod team up to a few days ago

  • If u want to finish dalaran heist try this

Easiest way to win. Kripp had a video on this. Beat Heroic on is first try with this trick. Easy to set up and easy to execute.
What a pain when the opponents have high health though.

  • Soooo that other site..

An announcement was made that other site was purchased by another entity that has taken over ownership now.
What I liked is the backing of the mods and, of course, Flux. 90% were in support of Flux and the Mods and even this site...not that they are here and still posting there : / Curious as to everyone's thoughts about that site not closing and new ownership taking the helm of the ship.

  • Any Other Single Class Players?

Play how you want but why would you want to miss out on the variety of classes and decks and styles of play available to you in Hearthstone. It's great when you find a deck you can master and climb up the ladder with but after a time it gets boring playing the same thing. You know it so well and you know the answers you have so well that any sort of challenge is gone. You stop thinking and just mindlessly play cards.

I think it's fun to try out other classes and decks. While I don't play every class I do have a handful of favorites I go between and it adds that nice variety to the game. I think the funniest I've seen is a one class player who likes to play one type of deck and named himself after the deck.

  • [Legend 65%] Pogo Lackeys

Thanks, fixed. Also reversed some changes. EVIL Cable Rat is added back.

  • Legendary crafting tier list, but better -an idea

We have plans for a dedicated non-thread tier list =D

I really want to be able to show people how cards move over time from different rankings, and of course, talking about them is important too. Stats get a bit harder since we aren't collecting anything, but it's possible we can work with another community to achieve this, at least early on.

  • Arena Balance Update - Getting Win-rates Closer to 50%

I don't get why the downvotes, when you're right. Oh well, buffed Rogues mean more for us who play Valeera to stomp

  • The Witchwood Expansion page

    Perfect,you're doing great!

  • Help: Quest mage

This may seem like a stupid question, but is your Murloc build totally aggro or more midrange?

I ask because 1) both are possible, and 2) if you're aggro, you may just have to accept that you cannot win this matchup most of the time.

I believe sticky threads is a feature in progress and has been discussed but not implemented yet and I believe that legendary and epic tier crafting guides are in the works too. I like your idea of having data to back up the crafting tier guide and it would be neat to link to example decks using those cards. You could always offer to contribute to the posts when they come online.

Would be so cool if there was a tool like that, that (in the future, when a collection tracker is implemented) litterally suggest you the best way to optimize your collection, in a meta-based way.

  • Akron's Pocket Blast Mage

I don't have a second doomsayer only thing I am missing. I want to try this deck. Unsure if I should run a second pyromancer (better if I run into lots of aggro) or Kalecgos (better for more control). Mostly right now I am seeing pogo rogue and mech pally, mech hunter decks which are more mid rangey and I don't think the match up would benefit from either of those cards. I guess I need to craft a second doomsayer.

Hey there! First post here, dragged here from hearthpwn.

Love to see the idea, the progress and the milestone you guys set ahead.

But among the things that you plan to do, i did not see the Legendary crafitng tier list sticky post, and that's a bummer for me.

I think would be useful, and should be improved as a single page on the main  menu with a lot of content more (statistic, grading, main interaction in standard or wild...)

How many decks -among each tier- use that legendary?

How the users scored it? Will it be useful in the future?

    What you guys think about?

  • Private Decks

    Thank you!

(Once the search in the forum is working I will not post already posted questions)

  • Battle of the Primal Powers Card Set

My feedback is: isn't too much work needed to get a 15/15 doNothingTheTurnIsSummoned waiting for the right removal? At least the Ancient One was a 30/30, able to kill your opponent in one attack.
And I think it's not worded clearly enough - I'm not sure how he's supposed to work.
Otherwise, I like the concept of evolving minion. Even if I don't think it would become meta, the deck surely would be fun. Can I suggest to print some card to protect the grons?

  • How many golden legendaries have you opened?

I own almost every hunter legendary golden since KnC. And hunter is my least played class.

  • What Inspires You To Build A Deck?

For me, my deck are born under the effect of a full night after having eaten Bagna Caoda.

More seriously, the idea come with some synergy that isn't a tier one deck (yet). For some like quest deck is easier, for some other like my evenrenomecha'thun is for looking for a cool win condition, while other are simply my own way to do... something. Anything.

These were a couple cards I made thinking about this you don't have to use any of them but it may give you an idea.

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

I think I'm going to send a message to Blizzard suggesting a name change from "Hearthstone" to "The Explosively Venomous with Lifesteal Mech Hunter Game."

  • The Witchwood Expansion page

That should be fixed now, well spotted!

  • Tracking - is it worth it?

^Aggro decks are also far more likely to gas out so the card draw function of tracking is more pertinent to them. if you're out of cards on turn 5 you really really want to draw Highmane, Leeroy or Kill Command and not some dopey 1 drop.
