When browsing cards in the Hearthstone card gallery, if you are on a page with one class icon clicked (so you are only seeing cards from one class), and you perform another search where you deselect the class icon, your new search will still only show you cards from the previous class you selected. Interestingly this only happens when using the Hearthstone card gallery, selecting the equivalent icons for the other card game galleries works normally. Thank you for looking into this!

Despite what I'm about to say, I am still excited for Mercenaries. I think it will be fun and have a fair amount of depth to its Pokemon-esque collecting, leveling, and battling systems. With that in mind...where the fuck is Blizzard?

This is not a normal card reveal-season where one can just disappear for three weeks without a word: it's a brand new game, and there exists a very vocal subset of the player-base which is upset. The reveal stream was a whirlwind of information, and left a bad first impression for some. PC Gamer called it "a masterclass in how not to announce a game." Blizzard needs to do right be these people and provide more details: an AMA, play-time with a streamer, another blog; something to help rebuild the lost hype. I want Mercenaries to be my go-to Hearthstone game in the future, but as the days go by in silence my concern that it will be dead-on-arrival continues to grow.

Don't let me down, Team 5: you and I both need this win, and right now you're blowing it.

This is the composition that might take an edge on the combo and burst damage lineup.

the nature buffed team

for starters I choose : Guff/Thrall/Bru’kan 

Thrall is your carry here and Guff tanks for him while Bru’kan disrupt. This team is very sensitive to fighters but again I don’t think will see many starters including more than one fighter. 

On the bench we have malfurion, Brightwing for nature combos and kingKrush as a finisher 

Samuro or illidan could work as well but KingKrush seems superior andTirion would be my second pick . 

let me know what you think of this lineup and if you have better combos to pull of.

Interesting that Rathorian made it; he's the only one I (as a non-WoW-player) am completely unfamiliar with from War2, War3, and HS.

Hi folks, it's clear Murloc's are the underdogs in Mercenaries, but I wondered how you murloc lovers out there were going to make your builds work? I wanted to share my solution which I think can cause absolute chaos in PVP; especially with Mutanus & Murkeye builds being one of the few lineups that can counter the popular BXT starting lineup. I’m really excited with Mercenaries and I would like to know peoples opinion.

Which bundle will you buy?  Personally I’m will chose Lich King because i feel good protectors are few ( Lich and Cairne). even if I love Diablo.

for the leveling up, I will concentrate on Lich king, Cairne, Xyrella, Millhouse, blinkfox, breathwing, Tirion, Tyrande, Samuro et Diablo/Sylvanas/Illidan if I have the chance to open them. 

i m still thinking on which team to build for PVP: 

i might start with : Cairne/Tyrion/Xyrella with blinkfox/Millhouse/Lich king on the bench due to there long cool down. 

Impatient to know your opinion guys!!! 

We got some valuable information today about various aspects of Mercenaries, so I'm wondering what new thoughts are swirling out there.

Stuff that matters to me personally:

• 153 free packs plus 76,500 additional coins from Campfire quests
• Crafting costs for mercs!
  • 100 for rare
  • 300 for epic
  • 500 for legendary
• Certain coins drop more frequently from certain Bounties, so you can farm that legendary you're dying to have
• Less than 10 hours played time to get your party to level 30
  • Assumes you stick with the same party roster
  • Can power-level new Mercs by letting them watch from the bench
  • 50% more Merc XP for Heroic Bounties
• Mercenaries updates should be as frequent as Battlegrounds updates
• No nerfs for PvE reasons, minimal for PvP unless something totally breaks the game

As someone who enjoys unlocking and collecting things, it seems like the game will be a lot of fun if I never buy a single pack with cash. The packs from quests will be more than enough to collect a ton of Mercs, and every Merc you pull from a pack will unlock more quests. This cycle breaks down once you've got all the rares and epics, so maybe you end up grinding coins for some legendaries at the end, but that doesn't seem so bad to me.

EDIT: Corrected price of legendary crafting

This is the line up I would go with to punish Arcane/Freeze/Orc compositions 

The goal is to nuke the enemy fighters like Tyrande/diablo(combo break)  Samuro, Rokara, and illidan. No mention this will destroy Thrall comp’ as he will die turn 2. 

For this we start with Antonidas/Geddon/diablo and we go turn two for AoE flame strike boosted by Diablo. With this set up their protector(s) will die and the character of your choice preferably a fighter who deal double damage to your casters. The casting time reduction of Geddon is the key. Otherwise either antonidas or Diablo will die first. 

On the bench we have Cairne for CD and taunt Ragnaros for the equipment giving 20Pvp if it works on all party. And alextrasza who can be replace by any high speed and damage output fighter as you team burst mainly protectors. 

This team might struggle against nature builds, super healing builds and fighters builds very unlikely.

Which one do you think is better? I need to make a decision pronto. I have an idea of how the mode works from Trump's videos. (Gameplay looks amazing BTW though I'm bummed that there doesn't seem to be any RPG aspect to it.)

The Lich King looks better to me...maybe? His Frost Shield seems amazing. Taunt and freeze. Whoever hits him has to skip a round (of attacking). That could be their whole team! But you have to wait till turn 3 to use it. Death Coil has great flexibility: damage or heal. Frostbite makes an ability permanently slower (though its speed is 9).

Diablo's abilities are faster on average (all 6 speed which is cute) but maybe weaker? Apocalypse could be really, really good but hard to tell right now. Taking critical damage from all types could add up to a lot. Doom Charge also slows enemy abilities but only for one round, but it's 3 faster than Frostbite. Fire Stomp is AOE so kinda strong, especially against slow enemies since it will repeat for each enemy that hasn't acted. Only 2 damage though.

As for treasures Frostmourne looks very, very good. Looks better than anything Diablo has.

Art-wise....the diamond ones are both great but Diablo's is a bit better. And his two other skins are much better than Lich King's.

I don't know. It's hard to decide not having played the game before. What do you guys think?

I’m just not having fun playing standard at the moment. The game is just an aggro fest and every deck’s only goal is face.

How do you guys have fun? Should I just switch to Wild which (shockingly) looks more healthy?

Bazaar Burglary, 2 Hallucinations, 2 Dragon Hoards, 2 Wand Thief's, 2 Togwaggle Schemes, 2 Hench Clan Burglars, 1 Academic Espionage/Polkelt (AE makes games longer, Polkelt quicker) Tess Greymane... And both Yoggs.

It's ridiculously fun because you literally are playing a deck of possibly every card in Hearthstone history and you don't have to worry about clunky cards in your hand because the opponent has to deal with them too.

Treat yourself to the biggest clown fiesta you have ever seen as you and your opponent laugh yourselves to death ; D

Also so far in 8 games or so I have a 100% Winrate bc opponents don't know what to do and rogue cards that they receive tend to suck.

Since Hearthstone is seen as multi game mode platform now, would it be a good idea for the articles to have subcategory labels for each of the game modes on the HS frontpage? Should be helpful for easier filtering out of content especially for users who are not interested in all of the game modes.

Met something really strange today.

Opened up the shop, saw two bundles. One 20 stormwind packs + 2 legendaries and the other the same but for wild packs.

Thought about it for a while. Played some games, then came back and poof, they were gone.

Like is this seriously a bug, or has team5 finally reached its slot limit in the shop, what with multiple offers from 3 different games.

Anyone encountered this? Or has quest mage finally made hearthstone hazardous to my health?

Greetings everyone, and welcome to the submission thread of second episode of Master Duelist!

General Information

This challenge will begin today, September 10th, and will end on September 30th. During this window of time, you'll have to start a Duels run with a starting deck containing at least 1 card from each mana cost, from 0 to 10 mana. Moreover, in order to make things a little easier, Signature Treasures will count as well!

Everyone who'll post proof of a 7+ wins run in this article's comment section will be awarded with a different amount of gold, an in-site currency you'll be able to earn from different activities and that will be used to purchase cosmetics in our in-site shop.

Submission Rules

In order for your run to count towards the challenge, you'll have to provide an appropriate proof of your feat; otherwise, your result won't count. To be precise, you will have to reply to this forum thread including:

• a picture of how your run ended;
• a picture of your starting deck;
• a picture(s) of your final deck.
• any other information you want: even though it's not necessary, it may help other players or generate a discussion!
  • you can submit as many runs as you want: we'll always pick the best one. Don't be afraid to show what you experimented with: let's start a discussion here!

Remember that we have to make sure you actually played following the rules, so please help us in doing so - disqualifying players feels bad, and we'd want to avoid it if possible!

Challenge Rewards

Here's a quick breakdown explaining the rewards you'll receive based on your performances:

The winner will be contacted through Direct Messages, where the next challenge's theme will be discussed. In case no one will be able to hit 12 wins before the deadline, the next challenge's theme will be decided by none less than Avalon himself.

Time Criteria

Those which follow are the time criteria we'll use to determine the winner in case of identical scores:

• An Heroic run will be considered more difficult than a Casual one, therefore Heroic players will have the priority.
  • If you get the best score overall with a 10-wins run in Casual and somebody else gets a 10-wins run in Heroic, the latter will be the winner of the challenge.
• In case of more people getting the same score, the winner will be decided by the submission time.
  • If more players will get to 12 wins, losses will count as well: a 12-0 will be considered better than a 12-2 or a 12-1. 
  • You could get the highest score on the first day as well as on the last day of the challenge, but if someone submits the same score before you do, then they'll be the winner.

Before I reactivated my premium membership via twitch prime I noticed that my account drop down was partially hidden behind the site navigation banner (HS Collection and Runeterra Collection were blocked by the Shop link).

Once premium was activated again it was no longer an issue.

This was on Google Chrome with a Just Black theme in case that is relevant. 

This is my Arcane theory craft composition adapted from what we have seen of Tars YouTube experience. This is in my opinion the most evident burst Free to play . 

the starters are Millhouse/Tyrande/Cairne 

thé goal is to reduce the cost of Millhouse seconde ability and let it cast twice with Tyrande help. Cairne is here for Cooldown and survival. This will kill protectors and probably casters too

on the bench we have Diablo for apocalypse, Lich king to tank and blink fox for the arcane damage but also CD and ability thieving. 

the combo Tyrande/Millhouse will see a lot of play the first month because they are starting characters and very obvious burst. 

tell me what you think of this line up. If you have better synergies, feel free to share. 

It seems Trump got his hands on an early access account so he could demonstrate the early stages of Mercenaries to the benighted masses eager fans. And OH BOY are the haters getting shut down bit by bit as new information trickles out.

As I predicted, they had to allow new players to build a village without having a huge pile of gold saved up; otherwise, you just wouldn't be able to play. That's exactly how it works -- all the basic buildings are free. That's right -- FREE. No need to tap into your precious gold reserves and cannibalize your Hearthstone card pack fund, you stupid overreacting babies precious darlings.

You get enough coins to upgrade some abilities before you even finish the tutorial. You also get some packs from bonus quests just for doing the first few bounties (which are extremely fast and easy), so all starting players will be well on their way to a nice robust collection.

I'm sure haters are still gonna hate (because reasons), but those reasons just aren't going to hold any water anymore.

So its no secret that Legends of Runterra only received 15,000 views on its worlds tournament on twitch.

By Riot standards this is an exceptionally low viewer count.

And it has a lot to do with the way Legends plays as a spectator game as of right now.

It prioritizes efficiency, go wide strategies, infinite value engines, all of which aren't particularly interesting to watch.

Meanwhile the "cool" cards ie mono shurima, champions with interesting level up mechanics/quests are generally relegated to meme territory.

This is the one area where hearthstone and and magic when at its best is infinitely more interesting to watch.

Whether it be old school quest warrior, or a magic player going off with some insane combo these things were actually viable competitively.

It wasn't just play a thing that tutors for another thing, do it again, play poppy swing. Or play a thing, tutor for darkness do it again, play Senna.

It really is just watching paint dry in most respects.

So the big advice for the devs make the cool stuff playable, and competitive, this will up the presentation value of your tournaments and make them more exciting to watch. 

since last patch (two weeks ago) i dont see any xp going to my reward track after i finish quests i  know it is just visual but anyone know if they plan to fix it soon ?

The miniset releases roughly two months after the main expansion, so in next 2-3 weeks we should see the next miniset.

I really hate this meta, where it is only quests or decks trying to counter quests (yeah, aggro). 

So I was thinking - what could the devs do to change the meta? Create even stronger cards than quests? Will there be mass nerfs?

What do you expect from the miniset?
