Even when you draw the right cards, it's underwhelming. You either count on luck, or you need to support it with something like predict. But getting supported still doesn't make it great.

Or am I missing something?

I preordered the Mercenary preorders and in packs I got duplicate legendary mercenaries. 

I believe now I understand where is the problem - most likely wrong technical decision by Blizzard, which caused damage to paying customers.

On the preorder bundles Blizzard stated: "The Lich King Mercenaries Bundle includes a Diamond Legendary Lich King Mercenary and 50 Mercenary packs" (and it was the same description with other preorders).

But this was false advertising. The preorders only contained Diamond Portraits, not Diamond mercenaries, thus they were not included in duplicate protection. If they were really Diamond Mercenaries, not Diamond Portraits, I would get a regular legendary mercenary instead of a duplicate one. But for both Lich King and Diablo packs I purchased I opened a Lich King and Diablo mercenary from a pack (not portrait, the basic mercenary) getting a duplicate instead of a new mercenary. I believe, this is unacceptable.

I just tried it and it didnt work.  Even though I trick or Treat my actual house every Halloween!

If I purchase (7.99€) the Legendary Coin Purse will I get 3x250 coins of Legendary I don't own (and in this case it can be reasonable) or are they random coins? Tks

Got the Halloween graphics set up and everything. Can Arena players have duel class, it's um Oct 19th? Nope. Not only does standard wild battlegrounds and this new excuse for a mode suck but for the only game mode you can play now we are not going to even give you that.

I have the quest to defeat 12 Furbolgs (yes, I'm still not through PvE). But where are they? I'm currently at 1/12 which was the boss from Stage 1. In all other stages there are only Owlbeasts but no Furbolgs (which I googled should be bears). Am I supposed to to the first boss 12 times? Or are they all in the last stage?

Btw: any tipps for Icehowl? Just tried it once but failed.

Any guide expected from out of cards team how to obtain those card backs, I remember doing the trick for the samsung card back but I dont remember how...

So few days in now we've all most likely accumulated some coins for characters we don't have right? So my question is do we use them to make the merc or just wait and pray for them from packs? On one hand you get the merc and can mysterious stranger their coins, on the other if you get them from the pack you can use all those coins as opposed to grinding them. So what's your guys' opinions use the coins to make the man and grind or hope you get them from a pack and use all the coins you already have?

Sometimes you just need to know who your friends are - and I know exactly the type I'm looking for!

• You must create a card which has an effect when all minions in your deck are the same type
  • Whether it be Dragons or Demons, Mechs or Murlocs, so long as they're all the same type you're good to go!

We've brushed up on our spells before, but now Lundy wants us to revise those minion types!

It worked on Oct. 15th since I completed 1 of 3 of the Noz quest. Now it doesn't work. No progress to Nozdormu, no progress to "take x turns"

I notice a bug where at step 3 of antonidas that require to deal 95 dmg with his fireball storm ability that doesn’t count. Anyone have the same problem? Thank you in advance

Where do I load a Hearthstone deck in mercenary mode from? I searched all over the site, but found nothing.

So, I've played a little of Mercs, and don't have particularly strong feelings on it, but there is one element that really bothers me: information opacity.

What do I mean by this? An example: as a reward after a fight, I'm offered an "Alliance Banner" that gives my Alliance characters +X/+Y. Great. Which ones are my Alliance characters? There is no mention of that on their cards/characters. Nothing. I guess you need to know WC3/WoW lore and/or have listened to the voice lines on characters in main HS: but I typically play with sound off, and have forgotten most of the stuff from the little WoW that I did play 16 years ago.

But let's say I remember who is Alliance and who is Horde (and who might be neither, as I'm sure some are) - now, when I'm being offered it, how can I check who it helps on my team before choosing? It would be great to be able to see who else might benefit from a power up like that, but I have to hold in my head who else is on the team, alive, and of the appropriate type.

I'm an old man, I can't keep that sort of stuff in my head.

It'd be great if there were a little more info about who's on what "team", and if there was the ability to check your roster before selecting rewards.

If you're enjoying it, that's great keep enjoying it. However for me it's a watered down version of games that came out over 30 years ago. I'd rather replay the first FF on nes than play this. How do you screw that up?

If you buy "Traditional Heartstone"(tm) packs for gold you can double-click/double-tap on the "100 gold" button on the left to enter a custom amount. I tested this with Stormwind packs. This seems not to work with Mercenaries packs. 

This is not good for Blizzard because I would've sacrificed some of my gold for this but not if I have to buy the packs one by one. Perhaps I've already lost interest in the mode once this is fixed.

Are you sad that two days into Mercenaries and your Rank 2 Xyrella can't compete with those filthy whales Rank 5 max item one? Well, say no more, because Air Elemental is here to do some fast grinding for you.

How, you ask? Well, let's just use my example. I am fully f2p right now (didn't even buy the 5€ welcome bundle), but I was pretty lucky that my first pack gave me Anduin Wrynn, a pretty good legendary that was one of the cornerstones of my story mode team.

So, naturally, I thought of ways to get more Anduin Wrynn coins to make sure he stays in top shape and the only place that has a "guaranteed" chance of dropping those coins is in Lord Banehollow (and LB Heroic). Now, the quotation marks are there for a reason, I grinded the LB bounty 8 times and in only 3 of them did I get Anduin Wrynn coins (on the other hand, I got like 300 coins for Bru'kan and he became beefy now). Naturally, I was pretty disappointed at how things turned out, I spent a lot of time grinding and I barely got enough scraps for a rank 3 Holy Nova. 

But how does Heroic Air Elemental help? Simple. He's the first bounty that guarantees a random event tile (I'm not sure the normal version also has one but just a lvl 30 merc should be enough to beat Heroic). And those random events can get you those sweet tasks that always nail you those sweet Anduin Wrynn coins.

So, let's talk optimization:

1. You need the Merc you want to grind (in my case, Anduin Wrynn). Make a party with him and 2 (only 2, no more than those) lvl 1 Mercs you want to pump some levels in.
2. Go to the random event tile. You got Mysterious Stranger? Good! That's why there's only 2 other Mercs on the party, to guarantee you'll get the Anduin Wrynn task.
   • If you didn't get the Mysterious Stranger, just retire, you're wasting your time finishing the bounty unless you're planning to grind Cariel Roame coins (they're one of the rewards to finish the bounty and Cariel Roame is also top tier).
3. Now this is the tricky part. If you believe you can finish the Task before you get the chance to get another Mysterious Stranger, then just do it. If you can't (for example, Anduin Wrynn has a task that involves visiting 4 Spirit Healers; naturally, you can't do that in just one run), then add a 4th member to your party, this one being someone that you want to also grind Merc coins on (in my case, Blademaster Samuro and Xyrella; I added Blademaster Samuro first since he's lagging behind a bit in the coin department).
4. Don't forget to swap those underleveled Mercs once they reach level 30.

In case you're wondering, this is a terrible grind and, quite frankly, a boring experience. But since the game decided to hide your tasks behind the Mysterious Stranger tile, this is the fastest way to find them. 

PS: Mercenary Whales, you're not filthy. You're adorable too.

She is on my party, but i can´t drag her to the play zone.

Anyone else with this problem?

Just wanted to know if any other player is having the same problem:

Ever since the new update, I cannot make any progress in any of my quests, I don't get any new "bounties". Tried to refresh my quests, I have even cancelled the Mercenaries special quests, but nothing works. 

Any suggestions?

Thank you for all the early support on Mercenaries! I love looking at what kind of parties others have thought of. It would be nice if there was some way to either import or manually select which Mercenaries you own, so you can quickly see if you can build a certain party. Thank you in advance!

Can somebody explain in detail the following words?

- Horde

- Deathblow

- Critical Damage

Is there any way to find out for which mercs I own a alternate (eg. golden) Portrait? I opened some golden ones but didn't pay attention. So I had to click on each card to see if I can choose another portrait. There doesn't seem to be a quick way or search keyword. I searched for "golden" but that only showed me the mercs for which I already set the golden portrait.
