New Features

• You can now vote on Hearthstone decks on embedded deck widgets.
  • Sorry this took longer than intended. We had to combat caching mechanisms.

Changes

• Improved site-wide performance via caching improvements on comments.
• Voting performance has been greatly improved.
• Users with adblock will now see in-house promotions.
  • We're going to be using the ad space on the site for our own "ads" when visitors have adblock enabled.
  • Some of these "ads" will remind you that ads help keep the site running.
  • We'd really love it if you would unblock the site. The ads we display are less intrusive than a lot of other sites in the space.
• Premium has its own dedicated landing page. We'll make it look better in the future.
• Game Portals are now live on the Homepage.
  • These take the place of the Hearthstone decks that were on our homepage from the start.
    • Hearthstone decks will still display at the top of the Hearthstone Portal.
    • Dev Commentary: This is a change that needed to happen at some point. We aren't a site that only focuses on one game and by having the entire homepage covered in Hearthstone-only content, it doesn't feel right. More Hearthstone-specific content (brawls for example) will be pruned from the homepage in the future. We'll continue to use the homepage to spotlight content from all the titles we cover, so look forward to that.
  • These are easy ways to access the different "homepages" on the site that we're calling Portals.
    • If you only want to see information for one particular game, please feel free to bookmark that portal.

Open Beta FAQ

Is the solo adventure going to be in the format of RoS and SoU where it's like a dungeon run, or is it like the adventures of old where you have to make your own deck? Asking because I'm considering buying the prepurchase bundle, but I only started playing a year ago and my collection is pathetic so I highly doubt I'd be able to make decks to beat all the bosses.

The new TESL Gauntlet starts today for one event ticket or 150 gold per run (up to 3). This event will be available through January 20th.

A new event is coming to The Elder Scrolls: Legends! Introducing the Ballista Gauntlet, where the lane you choose to deploy your creatures matters more than ever. Compete against other players until you reach nine wins or three losses - whichever comes first. Each run through the Gauntlet costs one Event Ticket or 150 Gold, up to three maximum runs.

Ballista Gauntlet: January 17 – January 20
In the Ballista Gauntlet, the normal Field and Shadow Lanes have been replaced! On the left is the Ballista Lane, which deals damage to your opponent if you control the most creatures in the Lane. On the right side is the Library Lane, which reduces the cost of actions by one Magicka as long as you control a creature there.

Will you fight for the more aggressive Ballista Lane or make the most of your actions in the Library Lane? Can you make the most of both? Your deckbuilding skills will decide! Rewards are earned with each victory and player performance is tracked on the leaderboards. Place high enough in the ranks at the end of the event and you could receive additional rewards!

The Ballista Gauntlet begins Friday, January 17 at 12pm ET and closes at 12pm ET on Monday, January 20. Events in The Elder Scrolls: Legends change regularly, so check in often to see what new challenges await!

It seems like we just got Flame of Xulta yesterday (it was actually October) and Promises by Firelight last month, but we're already getting a new set with 200+ cards in February! Echoes of Eternity will be the eighth full set for the game since it first launched in November of 2016.

Do you agree/disagree? As I mentioned in the video, I know there's a ton of arguments for Shadow Isles wrecking every other region, but I'm convinced that's not the case. Also, what about giving Noxus the highest combo rating? Does ANYONE else see the potential I see here!?

In a game just now I got a crown for coming in 5th and I'm curious if this is a new thing or just a situation I've never seen before?

Relevant variables: I and another player got knocked out on the same round. They placed 4th and me 5th. I lost to a dead player, them to a live one. However, the "ranking" screen had what looked like a little gold donut (it had sprinkles which is why I'm assuming it wasn't a halo) floating over my hero's head and I still was awarded a crown. 

Is this a thing? If you get knocked out and get 5th the same turn as someone else who gets 4th you still get the reward? Or does my losing to a dead player have anything to do with it?

Hi folks,

anyone having problems with this weeks tavern brawl?

I lost against Sir Finnley because Reno buffed my opponents minion twice in a row. I am supposed to get a second chance against aviator Bob but every time i enter the mulligan phase, the game crashes.

I haven’t tried this on PC yet but right now i‘m unable to play the brawl since i get reconnected to the same match every time...

Any suggestions?

Recently, over on our Discord we had a discussion about the Priest class, and how its Basic and Classic sets just kind of suck. It's even been mentioned by the Devs before that 'fixing' the Priest class may involve an overhaul of their Basic and Classic sets, rather than just some balance tweaks.

This is my take on that overhaul.

I wasn't sure how to format this at first, but I think I'll tackle this in three parts: first, I'll show you the cards that I'll be removing completely from the Basic and Classic sets, with reasoning; second, I'll show off my revised Basic set and walk you through the changes; third, I'll show you my revised Classic set, also walking you through the changes.

For some card replacements, I created entirely new cards; some cards have instead been plucked from previous expansions.

Hello folks. I'm much interested in this game but didn't join closed beta, so I'll start with Open. Got a couple of questions :

- Is Karma any good ? From what I saw she's the closest from my favorite playstyles (random value generation such as HS burgle rogue, ramp decks such as most shadowverse Dragoncraft decks, midrange/control decks). I don't expect top tier stuff, I just wanna know if I can mess with her without expecting abysmal results.

- Same question for Jinx (Self Discard mechanic, mostly. And madness. Because eh. Madness.).

- How is the ingame currency earned ? I hate both HS and Shadowverse systems because they tend to focus on winning, which can really quickly get infuriating when you're playing a slow deck (also often harder to play than the faster counterparts).

- Can you expect to build a full deck within reasonable playtime ? I usually play 2 class at most in a CCG (since LoR is "dual classes" with regions I expect to play from 3 to 4 of them). I'd prolly be satisfied with 2 serious deck and 3-4 meme decks.

Hey guys, just wanted a little help on building out my Wild Collection. Just some background, I started out shortly after Boomsday launched and have worked feverishly to build as large a collection as time and money allows. Thus far, I have a full collection of Standard and most of the cards from the Kobolds, Frozen Throne, and Un'Goro expansions. I've also bought and completed all the old adventures that rewarded cards and just finished crafting all the Hall of Fame cards. I'm really wanting to fill out my collection in Wild and was wondering which expansion I should focus on next to try to maximize the number of high quality decks I can put together for Wild. Ultimately, I want to complete a full collection of both Wild and Standard, but that is a long term goal. Right now I just want to build the most powerful collection for the short term. Trying to follow the Pre-Order pages. I don't see anything mentioning a hearthstone card back or hero for pre order or ownership. I'm hoping this was done on purpose after feedback from users not wanting to buy other games to get in game hearthstone additions.

I'm a Card Back collector myself, so I'm keeping an eye on it, but has if anyone has heard/seen anything related to Shadowlands and Hearthstone, let me know.

Is the collection manager and app like Innkeeper from Hearthpwn ever going to make it to this site?

It was the one thing that kept me coming back to Hearthpwn back in the day and as much as I prefer the coverage and forums here, without a card manager to help with knowing which decks I can easily craft or not, I'm more inclined to use Hearthpwn over this site.

As usual the story in the deck description is the primary reason for the deck to exist, so don't expect great results out of it. At least it is stronger than the last one by virtue of having the highlander cards in it, plus the embarrassment you get your opponent to feel when you win is worth it.

Really though, I tried so hard to find any reason to play The Boogeymonster, and the best I could come up with was the tiny chance of giving it to your opponent with Mischief Maker. At least I can make it the star of a story I guess.
