So, I just noticed that on https://outof.cards/guides/35-how-standard-format-rotations-work-in-hearthstone under the Year of the Mammoth section the link to the Ungoro expansion does not work, it shows as

Not Found

The requested resource was not found on this server.

Comparing the link to the one used in the expansions subsection, I noticed they are different: https://outof.cards/expansions/journey-to-ungoro (the one that leads to the above error) vs. https://outof.cards/hearthstone/expansions/journey-to-ungoro (the one that actually works). Looks like the flawed one is only missing the /hearthstone/ in it.

It's that time. Find any animations for new cards that are particularly awesome? I haven't seen them all but these ones are pretty cool.

Just watched a bunch of streams regarding the new expansion, it doesnt seem that the priest quest is performing as well as initially thought(in aggro decks for sure).I think it is ment as more of a late game pressure card for midrangey decks, rather than killing off fast.It does take a long time to complete, too slow for aggresive playstyle.

Any thoughts on this?

Ok, ok, hehe, I know, it's really not something impressive for most of you, but I wanted to share this with my beloved ex-Hearthpwners because I know many here started playing Magic: the Gathering through MtG: Arena and never opened a single real MtG pack on their lives (which really sucks, I know... sorry :( ).

what do you think about the nerf to Questrogue? Blizzard nerfed the interaction between Sonya Shadowdancer and Stonetusk Boar, boars generated by sonya won't get  the buff from crystal core.

Hi, my dear mods and administrators from Out of Cards!!! :) I have noticed something that really pisses me off lately... :( Since Hearthpwn doesn't have a negative vote system on the forums (only on the comments section), people are forced to make posts if they want to really express their opinion against something or someone they don't like, but here, on OOC, many people just downvote others without saying absolutely nothing and there is no room for discussion!!! :(

Ok, ok, I realized I love to be downvoted, it makes me feel good (and powerful XD) for whatever reason, but as I said, many times it prevents discussions that could have been interesting and entertaining. So, what is your opinion about it? Is this good for the forum and the community, or not? We are a community after all, and a community needs real communication, that's what I think... -.-

Searched around but didn't find the info I was looking for. I recall reading that Whizbang the Wonderful will update as new recipes update through the years. Does that hold true for Zayle, Shadow Cloak? The Zayle decks are rather limited and lackey-based, so I'm curious if we'll get new ones for this current expansion, or for expansions where lackeys are added. Does anyone know?

As I'm already a big fan of highlander decks in Wild I'm obviously excited to see new highlander cards being added in this new set. Not sure it will take off in Standard, but in Wild where Reno Jackson, (Kazakus,) and a much bigger pool of cards are there to help you out, it's hard to imagine the archetype will not see play.

That's why I'd like to see all your creative deck ideas!

Just watched this video (I have nothing to do with it or the channel) in which they examined how many packs are needed for full collection, bundle pricing now and previous, and just how generous Blizzard have been over the years.

Pretty interesting (though the first 4 mins are very skippable).

I just wondered if there was a way to send a PM to someone on the site (I couldn't find a means to do so), rather than creating a thread (which seems like the wrong thing to do)?

If not, what is the best way to talk to someone on the forum about an issue that is within the boundaries of what is allowed on the forum please?

Hey, as a shaman main I'd like to try his quest, so here's my take on it:

Deck ID Not Found

I included 22 battlecry minions, the very best, all of them but 2 ("draw card") work with quest reward, and 17 of them work well with Shudderwock (only "deal 3/4 damage" isn't guaranteed to work as intended); Hagatha and Lynchen are of especially high potential. No hero Hagatha as she will overwrite quest reward. Deck is completed by best removal + Mutate x2 since it's quite good for some understated battlecry minions.

I think combining recurring villlian with new priest hero power can be one of the main win conditions for zoo priest.It is incredibly hard to clear this(except if your warrior).Miracle mage and shamans don really run hex and polymorph.I think this might be insane in many games.Hunters quest doesnt go along that well, since its easier to remove and the general plan there is to flood the board and not keep one big minion alive.(also that quest sucks)

If you can then I say Activate the Obelisk has nice synergy with Awaken the Makers . The theoretical death-rattle deck will also be flexible. With all these cheap deathrattle & reborn minions, like Grandmummy you will have an early decent game & later when Amara, Warden of Hope will activate obelisk you will have a strong hero power for the late game which will help you keeping your minion to stick on your board. You can also run Raza & Reno for the highlander flavour. 1 mana Obelisk eye will be pretty damn good. Also Reno can help you activate Obelisk on a single turn so you don't have to keep waiting for Amara to activate.

Very new edition heavy and not expensive if you did open the quest.

The wraped golems are here as win condition because i feared the deck might lack here. Drop it a 9+ mana fullfilling the quest and copy it also makin two taunt to protect it.

If you lack cards common 3 mana scarabs fit as they are beasts with a nice discover or you can add a 4 or 6 mana taunt reborn minion. But the cards are in for synergies so replacing might be hard and result in a worse deck. Maybe the cauldron if you lack it but it feels perfectly fitting. You might also put in a shrink ray if you feel it´s absolutely needed.

This seemed like a reasonable way to go forward. With so much sticky stuffs, buffs for that stuffs seemed like a way to win games.
The deck largely lacks comeback mechanics, but I think the 3x different types of divine shield taunt buffs (Zilliax, Annoy-o, Blessing) should help with that.
Obviously, a ton of cycle to get through your quest completion crap as quickly as possible.

Crystology targets: Murmy, Temple Berserker, Micro Mummy
Salhet's Pride targets: Murmy, Loot Hoarder, Replicating Menace

I think one could consider cutting either Da Undatakah, or some manner of SN1P-SN4P & Replicating Menace in order to have a cleaner deathrattle pool.

There are also some cards that could be great options: Questing Explorer, Siamat, and Bone Wraith.

I have been playing Hearthstone for about 3 years now.  Started around the end of MSoG.  

During this time I've made some junk home brews and janky meme decks but have always wondered how to create a proper deck and how to tweak it.

I was hoping we could get a feature for new player experience explaining how to build decks for different deck types: Aggro, Control, Combo etc.

Explaining what curve not only is but what you should have for each style of deck would be incredibly helpful.

Also explaining pocket metas and how to tech would be fantastic.

- How big of a sample size do you take to know when you need to change up tech?

- What tech do you choose for situations?

- When do you not switch up?

I think you know what is this going to be about.

I wanted to say that this expansion is good, as it drives me more than being exciting.

I don't know where to start, but this expansion has more playable cards than many expansions, and I love it a lot as Journey to Un'goro expansion, and... this isn't even a beginning of standard cycle!

I'm looking forward to playing ALL classes since I mainly play very few classes. This will be my first time to try out many interesting and potential decks throughout all classes. So I really don't care if the meta will crush me, there are just too many good and fun cards when you comparing it to other expansion.

Each class has received at least 2 GREAT cards. This means none classes are being treated like an awful way like Moorabi on shaman or something like that. Of course, some quests are bad, but that's because there is another way to play than just playing quests from other cards.

And about the current state of Hearthstone, maybe there are some issues right now, like reprint cards or the meta is being the same. But if you look at the new expansion, it offers you many great and tech cards, and the nine new quests mean another new nine long journey!

This expansion is just damn so good, that I might even vote as the best expansion after Old gods and Un'goro expansions. I'm not here telling you to buy it or whatever your thoughts are, I just think it's awesome. And if that's not enough for you, let me tell you something: This is a sign that the Blizzard is improving the game or card designs, and in the next expansion, they will get healthier and better because of the powerlevel, more good cards = more playable cards.

I don't want to give more expression, I'm just gonna say it is undeniably GOOD expansion. Hopefully, my feelings aren't sensitive over new cards.

Here are my thoughts on each class (In hearthstone order style):

Druid:
Really cool archetype they have received from a new quest, Really great cards overall. The only thing that made me excited for druid class is the Elise the Enlightened.

Hunter:
The quest will probably be the new core card for Hunter since it will empower his minions and go with charge minions. What makes me excited is to try new great utility card like Hunter's Pack, two epic Hunter cards and more. These things look great.

Mage:
This class has finally received some strong cards based on secrets and more heavy spells support, and it looks really fun this time. I'm excited to try all the cards except the D[Hearthstone Card (une Sculptor) Not Found], Reno, and the quest.

Paladin:
I think we are aware that they always push paladin in a different direction, while they received weird archetype as always. Paladin has received an actual great single target removal spell: Subdue. I'm excited to try Sir Finley, and maybe I'll try to make reborn and deathrattle work together in wild format. I can't disenchant anything since I love this expansion.

Priest:
Everyone talks about a priest being a meme-y class with silly midrange spells. Well, looks like its not a joke anymore. Because priest has received a great alternative maelstrom and alternative frostbolt (Can't target minion though, because of prophet velen.). That may not push the different archetype, but it certainly will help priest a lot for now or for the future. And there are other cards like Wretched Reclaimer seems playable at best. I'm not a priest player, so don't think I'm always right.

Rogue:
Well, looks like the two legendaries will be another reason to play the rogue again. I generally like rogue a lot. The other cards have a cool new mechanics like [Hearthstone Card (Shadows of Death) Not Found] and Whirlkick Master. Can't wait to play it.

Shaman:
My favorite class has received a huge push for aggro overload decks. I appreciate that, and good control spells like Plague of Murlocs. However, I'm getting bored of a class now and I'm hoping to play all other classes.

Warlock:
I think they are pushing certain warlock archetypes. And I don't like warlock anyway, but I'll try nonetheless. The only thing that interests me is the Sinister Deal and probably Expired Merchant.

Warrior:
This class has received a very cool quest, I think it even quite fit in aggressive Warrior even it removes their turn 1 play, I don't know if aggressive warrior exists in wild format. But after you completed the quest, you get an instantly new hero power, no delay for buying ordinary 5 mana quest spell to gain a hero power, so you can summon 4/3 and refresh again... That doesn't seem like a joke for an aggro warrior. Otherwise, I'm not a perfect reviewer since I don't play warrior much. Also interested in Bloodsworn Mercenary, I don't think copying the damaged minion would do a great job, but additional 3/3 body accessed in early game sounds like a great deal to me.

But before I created this thread, I don't want only to give myself words about expansion. I'm looking forward to getting help from you all, I want to get to play each class and trying to play them all. So,

I wanted to know what decks you have for new cards, I play both standard and wild format. If you have a deck for some or all classes, share it here. But don't make a trash deck please, as long as it has a possible way to win the game.

Not sure how the pack rating goes but seemed weird to only have 4 out of 5 cards shown.

i think the score was 1007 because 3 were class cards?

There was a post a while ago calling for content contribitors. I have a thought.

For starters, there is not a lot of strategy articles around for hearthstone. To contrast, for Magic the gathering there is a wealth of content with genereal strategy, deck guides and much more. I would be interested in such articles for Hearthstone. 

Now, I do not have the time to write a lot of articles myself, and even if I had the time, I would quickly run out of material to write about. What I could do is to write an article every once in a while. Could be with arena strategy, a deck guide to something I've played a lot, deep-diving into a certain matchup...

I'm sure there are many others who could write something interesting about their pet deck or something else, but not too often. Maybe just once. Why not have an open, or semi-open, column where users of the site can contribute with an article? Could be a weekly thing, or more often, or less. Maybe you'd organize it so that you apply for a slot in a schedule and get a deadline a week priot, or just send in articles whenever you have lne and they are put in the waiting line (would like the former better myself). Maybe with some general guidelines like preferred length and roughly what kind of content it should be.

Anyways, just an idea aiming to help the site, get some interesting to read stuff and have some fun as a community. A nice side effect is giving people who never really write articles some motivation for trying their hands at it, a very useful experience!

Loving the site. I noticed the Achievements are up and running, but the colours used to show which Achievements have been completed and which ones have not are extremely difficult to tell apart for someone who is colourblind (i.e. me).

Any chance more contrasty colours could be used?
