Because Lion, rightfully so, won the tournament people seemed to disregard Feno. He actually made the EXACT SAME mistake that cost him a match against Casie in GM by not playing fast enough with combo Priest. He would actually win against Bloodyface otherwise.
I felt bad for him when he got relegated. This actually made me stop. You're allowed to make mistakes in GM. You shouldn't be allowed to make such a huge mistake and LEARN NOTHING FROM IT and still be a GM.
Also a word on the entire format - having only 8 players makes SO many great players not qualify. While I liked Hunterace and Justsayian as casters, they are two of the most consistent players in the game's history. They should have been playing, not casting.

Refreshing win, she had a great run even to get to the finals, and it continued there.
Plenty of people were dubious about the unusual choices of Malygos Druid and Highlander Hunter, but they played a full part in her deserved victory.

How does this work in relation to relegation in Grand Master? I'd love to see a strong female player (esp after how badly pathra performed) in gm!

China is not part of the Grandmasters system so Liooon won't be getting a place there. Also I'm not sure if they would count the prize money here towards those spots anyway.

She played brilliantly, had some of the best draws I have ever seen whilst her opponents had some of the worst. Almost too good to be true...

what do you mean? are you implying that the draws were sabotaged? if thats the case thats a bold statement. One that i cannot stand behind, specially in sports you should always believe in the sincerity of the competition\competitors or else we should just give up. She is actually a very good player from what i gather and ok the draws played a good part, but thats just the game. Luck will always favor those that work hard for it

Wow, 7/8 of them have the same pose. Interesting. This pose is a protective pose, which shows that another person tries to guard themselves or give comfort. But, I guess I'm reading too much into it.

It's a pity that currently the strongest decks (Quest/Evolve Shaman and Combo Priest) are so RNG-heavy, but I think it was Liooon's selection and piloting of Malygos Druid and especially Highlander Hunter that gave her the edge over the other players.

I did not, by any mean, insinuated that she won thanks to RNG. My comment was more of a general statement about woman exposure and presence within male dominated industries - in this case video game - where gender shouldn't impact on the results. This win may inspire others.
