Val Bladefang is a card that rewards you for going all-in on any particular Rune by giving you some cards of that Rune identity. Whether its Triple-Blood, Triple-Frost, or Triple-Unholy, Val can find a home in your Death Knight decks that focus on one Rune type. The downside of this is that you won't be able to do any mixing with her. It's all triple or nothing for Val.

Val also represents the only way to generate Triple-Rune cards after the update a little while ago. Given that she's a Legendary with a somewhat limiting deckbuilding requirement and can only generate one Triple-Rune card at a time, this is quite unlikely to be problematic.
