True. Best case Szenarios without mana cheating is a 7/7 on turn seven. And you generally don’t curve out this cleanly in standard anymore potentially good in arena though!
Well actually it synergises quit well with Maxima (the other new hunter card). It even benefits from its high attack!
8 damage face + 8 randomly split? That’s obviously no consistent outcome but I bet this will not be the only deathrattle support card for hunter we see this expansion and it seems like a pretty strong way to end games for me.
The more I think about it... we have seen spell hunters before - few minions is definitely an option!
I built pretty much the same deck 2 or 3 times now since I want to make Warrior work but with no success.
I didn’t include Krastinov though and tried both the value variant with Rattlegore and a more tempo driven play with the 2/3 Tauren. How do you manage the early games
There is some broken stuff around. Got a 12-1 and the only game I lost was against a batshit crazy Gibberling druid that killed me turn 3. Towards the end I had 20/20 worth of stuff on the board at turn 3.
Between 9-1 and 12-1, I played only 2 different opponents back to back and probably ended their runs preemptively.
I don’t mind sharing my strategy since it’s not easily redone. I played paladin centered around consistent early game and some late game legendaries. Since there were no better options, I had to take the deathrattle perk that triggers the deathrattle upon playing it with only 2 DR cards in my deck. Next round I got Sylvanas, Cairn and N’zoth...... But that wasn’t even the powerfull part. A round later, I picked up the cloak (all cards cost half - rounded down!) The games ended turn 5-6 from there on.
Play it before you judge. They modified a ton of treasures. There a still some strong ones but as mentioned before, those will probably get nerfed when they become problematic
I don’t see the contradiction here. I enjoy the content, support it and get to unlock cool perks in a super fun new game mode.
If you want to play it competitively, you gotta spend money on cards but you generally do that anyways when you are invested into standard. (Btw, I doubt that this mode will be very competitive. It can quickly end in an total RNG high roll fiesta)
Not to mention, large parts of the mode are free/easily acquirable. That allows you to test things out, try a little bit around and maybe grind for a new perk.
After a first couple rounds I can safely say that you won’t grind this mode day in day out. It’s really cool but suuuuper inconsistent. Your initial deck choices quickly become irrelevant and the mode isn’t balanced at all. I am pretty sure that you make more consistent gold in the Arena as a good player. But who knows, I only played 3-4 rounds so far (12-1 once!
Hey folks, who is up for some good old meta discussion? It’s the third ladder climb in the Scholomance academy and I gotta say, there are still some things to discover!
We all know the top dogs by now. Different variations of hunter, libram paladin, tempo mage, a couple rogues and DH of course.
In grand masters, druid and bomb warrior see a lot of play but I haven’t seen either of those in probably 20-30 games on ladder. Tbh, I don’t know how good these decks are right now. It may be just a tournament meta thing..
To spice things up, I prefer playing T2 or even T3 decks and I am time and time again surprised how strong those decks can be! Currently I am having minor success (but success nonetheless!) with big warrior. I had pretty good runs with Galakrond warlock and spell shaman as well the last couple weeks. To clarify, I’m generally ending the season around the legend ranks 2-5k, and use these decks to climb in diamond.
I can highly suggest, checking out those underdogs more often. For once, I think there are hidden a couple real gems that are immensely underrepresented. And second, it’s baffling how many opponents struggle against unknown decks. The amount of misplays i witnessed after playing bulwark of Azinot is way to high.
What are your experiences on ladder? Any decks to recommend? Any decks you struggle to beat?
That is great stuff, well done community! I’m especially happy for Uther, that bad boy wasn’t cheap and the low effort voicelines flew under the radar.
I get the philosophy behind no additional voicelines for the Book-of-Heroes characters but then they should have been accessible through gameplay.
Keep cool dude, adding a new class was a huge thing that won’t be done again so quickly. I bet we have to wait at the very least another 2 years for an 11th class.
An allmost bulderfist ogre with an added draw 2.
Also Rogue is known for shuffling. Tage the ticket vendor. That’s a nice tutor to get all those 3/3s.
I know it’s not insane and lacks compared to Soulciologist but “no reason” is a little harsh
Honestly this is very close to playable. Give it a little deathrattle synergy and you’re in
Wings: check
Claws: check
otherworldy name: check
Isn’t this a demon?

No please! Yet another way around taunt for DH. It becomes impossible to outheal this class

meme-tier nonetheless

Just to be sure.. played cards can’t become corrupted anymore right?
Also, would Y’shrash generates uncorrupted versions or does he trigger the corrupt effect himself? Otherwise he would lose a lot of power.

Don’t worry, the new game mode will definitely be pvp. They clearly differentiate between single player content and a new mode

Lackeys are strong! Couple easy wins with warlock.
Defile allows some crazy board clear-comebacks aswell.
Oh and a spicy addition is broom! Allows some neat value trades and tempo gains as early as turn 2-3.
Finally, don’t miss out on fire fly. Two one drops in one card is bonker
I can get your hopes up, they announced alternate voicelines for book of heroes characters.
But i’m with you, rogue has been horribly neglected in terms of alternate heroes. The class is probably the best candidate for the next expansion hero

No but seriously, didn’t Dean announce a rogue hero to be the second next? I think this was even before Arann
Me and probably many others can’t justify spending money on visuals in an already expensive game.
With this kind of bundles you buy packs For a good price and get a cherry on top.
If Jaina had come with a decent amount of packs, I’d have bought her as well.
