I’m honestly a little overwhelmed! HS is basicly the only CCG i got ever invested into. I’m so use to know what cards do, how powerfull they are and what might be a good synergy or counter.
The tutorial and first couple plays against the AI were amazing though! I didn‘t dare creating my own deck yet. Mostly because i got no feeling whatsoever for the different factions.
Any suggestions on how to get started?
The reward system seems endless by the way! 20 Levels of rewards per faction?! + weekly vault seems crazy.
Not sure i will get hooked for good with the Limited time i have but there is potential!

I swapped a backstab for a sap. 2 backstabs is to much, you often don’t have a target anyways. Dunno if sap is a good replacement but it wins the mirror

I lost against Sir Finnley because Reno buffed my opponents minion twice in a row. I am supposed to get a second chance against aviator Bob but every time i enter the mulligan phase, the game crashes.
I haven’t tried this on PC yet but right now i‘m unable to play the brawl since i get reconnected to the same match every time...
The more i think about it, the less excited i am. „Playable“ is for sure a card that can be played with the mana available. Remains to see if overloaded mana cristals or situational cards like execute are considered or not...
This is useless against aggro and mostly useless against highlander. I thought hitting Zephrys would be a good outcome but he would offer sacrificial packt, so forgett about that.
I see great use for this card against control. Forcing a brawl or Maybe even a plague of wrath on 5 can be hughe! That’s about the best you can get though. I guess a not upgraded Galakrond on 7 is a welcome outcome aswell but probably unrealistic.
I would hold on to any crafting or disenchanting atm. I havent crafted or dusted anything yet besides the nerfed cards. I knew they were doing more nerfs after new year as they warned about it when they did the last nerfs.

Waiting one week would probably do no harm. But with this mindset you sit on lots of dust and dream of all the fun decks you could play right now. We‘ll get 35 new cards end of January, will you wait again? After this will probably come another round of changes and maybe even another special event so you might aswell wait for the next expansion (witch is perfectly reasonable for Raven-cards btw!)
With the so much requestet frequent changes and ladder shake-ups, no craft will ever be „safe“ again. But of all the DoD legendarys, Kronx is for sure the best bet for the highest value
It‘s not that easy guys. The entire business model is is based around those probabilities and Dust values. Lowering the pity timer is a bigger difference than you would think. I got there twice this expansion....
You essentially ask if HS should be cheaper. Everyone would like to see that. But is it realistic? I doubt it.

I‘m stuck in my workplace for 8 more hours and as a new employee i‘ve sworn to myself to not touch Heartstone while at work. To ease the pain and make time pass quicker, please share all the good stuff you are experiencing with me!
My best Highlight so far was a random generated Deathwing (the original one) in a galakrond shaman. I was in topdeck mode and he saved my ass! The effect got repeatet from Shudderwock and won me the game!
Also, i played Deathwing, mad aspect, not knowing he attacks your own minions aswell. This completly messed up my Alextrasza turn.... Shame concede in the same second :P.
Highlander dragon mage rides the value train at full Speed. You can both clear and generate big boards. The new malygos is bonkers. Alexstrasza is totally broken. Sometimes you even get a second Ally for 0 mana!
I would bet that this deck will see play in the future. Not that easy to optimize but we will get there.
Unpopular oppinion: Pure galakrond shaman is stronger than quest-galakrond shaman! You easily push them off the board. Same thing with pirate warrior
An important factor is, if you aim to (allmost) complete standard sets.
Example: you buy 10 packs of Four different wild expansions. In return you get 4 legendarys (1600 dust - one legendary of your choice) and a little extra.
If, on the other hand, you buy 40 DoD packs, you are guaranteed 1, on average 2 legendarys that will be usefull for the next 16 months. Those cards in general have more value for Standard players.
Given that you would probably need less than 4000 gold to get those 4 wild legendarys, the calculation allmost evens out. But if your goal is large collection and not getting specific legendarys, DoD packs are defintily the better option.
If You’re on a budget and need those meta defining cards, wild packs are the safer gamble
On a general note, i would get those wild legendarys! But not so close to the expansion. Just save a couple gold down the road and open some wild packs from time to time. Consider keeping those cards if they are any good since wild brawls are a thing and you Never know what will Happen with all those old cards in the future.

I got from rank 3 to 2 last night and i barely remember that i played rogue. But that is exceptional, most of the time i suck when playing drunk
Don‘t trust those fluffy unicorns guys. All those decks are prey for highlander rogue and there is plenty to harvest on!

Overall, this card is sadl way to inconsistant...
I place my bet on a gattling wand - like HP.
Something like: Deal (2) damage randomly split among all enemies. Increases after every use by (1).
A scaling HP is somewhat scary but the game is probably fast enough to give room for counters.
Great fix. It‘s the same for puzzle box and for good reason. I would argue it‘s even more needed for Alex than for the Box
Yeah this could add new possibilities for spell interaction or casting conditions but Mixing it up with existing minion types is a little flawed imo.
Beast spells would be totally useless Since their interaction Happens on board. Same goes for pirates, demons, murlocs..
Dragons and elementals do work fine but then blizz might aswell add something completly new - that would be schools as you call them.
But then again, as someone earlier mentioned, this is not easily implemented retrospectively! Classes themselves are somewhat spelltribes already.
Mage is ice and fire, druid is nature, priest is shadowmagic and psy, paladin is holy etc....
This still might be a build around idea for future expansions!

People have a tendency of percieving bad luck more frequently even if the odds are 50/50.
Best example: USB sticks! You allways attempt to plugg them in upside down. Or at least, it feels like it.

My second last arena was a Reno - Dr Boom warlock that went pretty unlucky 2-3. But my final SoU pack, i got Vessina!
Farewell non-basic/classic arena, you had a tough time with battlegrounds just beside you but you will be remebered dearly <3
