  • Finally get to use those 7 Arena... urm I mean Tavern Tickets I've been stacking up, yay! :D

  • I'd say, expect the new Mini Set to be released in Jan-Feb, then the New Game Mode will be announced/released in March. (Or they do one big announcement of the two during BlizzCon online in Feb, yea, they'll probably do that... :D)

Hearthstone new years always start in April!

I also share the sentiment towards Blizzard's inaction, so I believe this change is coming too late. However, even if a change is coming late, I don't think that should invalidate the improvement. What matters to me is that they are making strides towards meaningful and significant changes to the game, and yes they could have been faster about it. With that said, they can't go back in time and implement these desperately-needed adjustments a few years ago, so the most they can do now is improve, regardless of how long it took.

I think it is important to hold them accountable and properly chastise them for their lethargy, and expressing that is valid. I just also find it exhausting to listen to people bitterly holding their past inaction over their head when improvements are being made now and irreverence for changes made in the present. It gives me the impression of someone that will never be pleased, regardless of whether you listen to them or not, because you didn't listen to them before. You're forever irredeemable in their eyes. Again, that's just my perspective, and I see the validity in holding people accountable for inaction; a balance of expecting more and appreciating improvement is key, to me.

I wouldn't call Team 5 lazy for implementing this improvement after 6 years. It all comes down to planned priorities within the team, their goals and deadlines. You might find that this new achievement system has been in the works for +- 4 years (an example) and there's always been numerous set backs that has delayed this improvement. I find it's completely fine to chastise them ONLY IF:

    1) They've received feedback about an achievements system among other things for 5+ years but don't act on the feedback

    2) The Team accepted the feedback and planned to work on an achievements system but never felt it was a high enough priority because they wanted to develop other features first. Hence not thinking achievements were important till now

  • Pandaria is the most obvious one, but I'm sure they will bring us an expansion on this theme next year. Timeless Isles... such fond memories... :D

I feel Stanglethorn and Booty Bay have such depth and are so well known in the wow community, Team 5 could make expansions out of those 2 zones alone.

And there's always Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, seeing as everyone loves Old Gods

EDIT: Oooh and almost forgot, lets have an entire expansion on the Emerald Dream/Emerald Nightmare! :O

  • Can we really call DH old-school when it's less than a year old? :D

  • Funny enough, Brazen Zealot become MVP and won me 2 games

  • Just letting that nostalgia set in watching the first hearthstone world championship. I remember  Keeper of the Grove was MVP back then...

All the best to Firebat, I'm sure he'll have fun with his own content creation, like many have said.

  • Thanks for the decklist summary! :D I'm surprised Warlock is favored over Paladin, did not see that coming

  • The Guardian Animals nerf hit Druid hard. The class is now 9th place on HSReplay, and I'm sure both Malygos and Pure Guardian Animals archetypes suffered. My prediction is less people will bring Druid, and will stick to safer classes. Might even seen a rise in Paladin

  • This is what I'm most excited for :D

    • October 24-31 - Out of Cards Surprise
  • This event feels quite lackluster compared to the Fel Fire Festival event, AND it had a much better cinematic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbsbCO5qC5A

  • Yup, I'm just like Kibler, if there's dragons, I'm in! :D

  • Am I the only person who thinks this is a step in the right direction for Blizzard? My main issue with HS atm is you have to play ranked/arena to complete daily rewards, so queuing a battlegrounds or playing solo adventures feels bad. Least with the BP, we can play whatever suits our fancy and still get rewards from it, even if it's just XP towards the BP leveling system.

  • Just seems to me like Blizzard couldn't care less about fixing the ACTUAL bug, instead they circumvent the issue by removing Nozdormu from the generation pool.

  • Sorry Kripp, your nerf predictions about Secret Passage didn't come true...yet

  • Pretty unfortunate what happened to Firebat with all the time zone differences but at least Sottle made the effort to personally contact him. The $1000 fine is quite harsh to, but guess regulations need to be adhered to.

On a lighter topic, Magtheridon made it into GM! :O who would've thought!

  • DQA's first nerf was to ensure she couldn't randomly generate herself. The 2nd nerf was the dragons cost (1) instead of (0)
