We all know the main problem is the Umpire's Grasp + Window Shopper interaction so wouldn't be surprised if there's a nerf to 1 or both cards. I'm leaning more to the weapon nerf only though coz the problem with Window Shopper is the limited demon pool which should get resolved in the next expansion. The most likely nerf is increasing the mana by 1 or 2 coz we all know Blizzard loves their mana cheating even though that's the problem.
If they do end up nerfing both cards, it'll most likely just be a mana increase to slow down the combo by a turn or 2.
Even with these changes, its still very challenging to create a good item from the Necropolis crafting system unless you have all the PoE knowledge in the world. I heard a streamer created an insane item but he used all the graves available or all 64 corpses to do it. Seems very time consuming.
Overall I am still enjoying the league but purely due to the Exsang Miner I'm running (Same build Crouching Tuna is running as a league start)
The above changes are definitely a step in the right direction but guess we'll just have to wait for someone like Grimro to analyize all the crafting options and summarize everything for the rest of the playerbase.
I wonder if Jeff would be open to a Twitter/X HS Q&A sometime. He seems like a good addition to the team and definitely makes all the right choices on these card changes πππ―
At first I thought the mechanic was weird, creepy and funny. Visiting the morge and burying corpses? Sounds like fun! π GGG do think of some... interesting themes. Kinda reminds me a little of Metamorph league, except instead of body parts, we choose what spirits go into which monter types. The fact that we need to use our game knowledge to place the spirits in the best possible monsters will be quite interesting.
Other than that, the only other changes I'm most excited about are the campaign changes coz damn, they really need to spice up the leveling process coz it's getting a bit tedious and repetitive.
Considering the amount of new innovation GGG is bringing in PoE 2, plus over 100 bosses and focusing on WASD combat going forward, I can totally be patient enough to wait till the end of the year to play in the beta but would be awesome if the public get Alpha testing keys as well.
I also stopped playing in Jan coz I hit a brick wall with the Heroic missions and the amount of XP I was getting to level up my minis was abysmal. I was quite active in the guild but just sent them a message to say I was dropping out then quick uninstalled and never looked back.
As for the HS Rumble cards, they're cute but the Rumble to Hearthstone translation is a bit lost on me. Out of all of them Gnomelia, S.A.F.E. Pilot's effect seems appropriate coz she's an AoE mini
The Good: Achievements carry over to the next expansion is a big win and definitely incentivizes players to continue their achievement hunting. Just an assumption though but does the XP go away next year after Showdown in the Badlands rotates to Wild?
The Bad: Less achievements in the Whizzbang expansion, less overall XP as well so it won't equate to 16 000XP anymore. While the good does make up for the bad, I do wonder why Blizzard decided to go this route. To cut costs maybe?
The Ugly: Instead of a Diamond Legendary with awesome animations we get...a common and rare signature card...eeww. I guess those Diamond animations took too much time as well?
Surely this location will see play in the new pirate rogue archetype that commandeers the new meta? π Still too early to tell though but with 3 uses, this location isn't useless. Sure, it's not Crystal Core but any aggro deck would appreciate some buffs to their small dudes. I remain optimistic and do appreciate all the throwbacks
Another contestant for most adorable card of the set! (But I do think Giftwrapped Whelp is the winner due to biases π )
These infinite shuffle effects can be good but most games these days don't last that long anyway. If Floppy Hydra does work, I'd imagine it'd be in a hand/deck buff deck along with King Plush
Definitely more of an Arena card than anything else. The cost is too high for Dragon Priest and the battlecry has anti-synergy in Dragon Druid (if it still can focus on hand buffs). If this dragon is seen in constructed, it'll be from randomly generated effects
Most adorable card of the set! This card will definitely see play in Dragon Druid (if it survives rotation which I'm sure it will) and now Dragon Priest. The battlecry is ofc much better in Dragon Druid thanks to Dragon Golem but I'd imagine Dragon Priest being a midrange deck so it could benefit as well.
This card will be a staple along with Master's Call in every beast hunter deck going forward this year. Hunter is definitely not lacking on draw anymore. Also this card is so much better than a 2 mana draw 2 as it specifically tutors a minion and spell and most times you'll be getting both cards unless randomly generated.
So the ideal scenario is to buff this adorable plushie which will become easier with time as more cards are released. Messenger Buzzard Will be one of those crucial cards. I do have my doubts though as Blizzard did remove big beast support from the core set (only really Selective Breeder though). Bestial Madness Might even see some play now.
Having Wheel of DEATH!!! randomly cast is going to be so much worse than a random Bonelord Frostwhisper. This card will probably cause many instant concedes as there is no real up-side other than your opponent dying after 5 turns. Defect a meme card as well coz with warlock, they still have access to the fatigue cards so you're probably going to take a lot more damage than 15 (factoring in the fatigue damage starting at 1). But ofc, none of this really matters coz the main issue is playing this on turn 8 and doing nothing so if there is a meme deck that does utilizes this spell, it'd have to discount the mana cost.
Overall, I'd hate to open this legendary on pack opening day.
This is a far superior Cutlass Courier, even if toy boat doesn't tutor anything specifically coz you can draw a lot more with toy boat in 1 turn if you keep summoning cheap pirates. Definitely a bit concerned about pirate rogue in wild now. Could put it over the edge...
Thanks for the giveaway Flux and do enjoy the chance of multiple entries to increase our odds at winning. All the best to everyone who can comment on every new card and open the most packs through the simulator (wonder if some peeps would go far enough to make a bot to open packs π)
Would've forgotten about Sire Denathrius if you didn't mention him. I guess with the amount of rush tokens or ways to reliable draw him in the early game and beef him up with the amount of infuse, it would create a consistent OTK (especially paired with Brann). Then again, there's the age old response of: "Wild games never get to 10 mana."
Had to give this article 4 stars, for the consistency π
Also guess Diablo 4 isn't worth mentioning even though it may redeem itself soonβ’

A bit late posting but here's some of my highlights:
First pack containing 2 legendaries!
Other legendary minions I got were Dr. Stitchensew and Puzzlemaster Khadgar
Lets just take some time to apprciate that Blizzard release these Tavern Brawls at the best time now, thank you Blizzard.
