  • While the RNG of Transfer Student is going to be frustrating, I think your complaint is a little misguided considering we're talking about Hearthstone. In fact, your statement, "The entire reason I won that match, is because we were on the DoD game board. I did not draw any other answer to that T7, and had we been on say the Uldum board, I would have lost" could be applied to any of the other RNG mechanics/cards that already exist.

For example, a Mage who hits Nagrand Slam off of Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron or What Does This Do? and wins the game from that card wouldn't have won the game if they didn't hit that card off of the Puzzle Box/Hero Power, and they certainly wouldn't have had an out like that normally since it's a Hunter card. Likewise, a [Hearthstone Card (Demon Hunter) Not Found] who discovers a second Metamorphosis from Vulpera Scoundrel and wins the game via the extra damage wouldn't have normally been able to put that many Metamorphosis's in their deck, but RNG'd them for the win.

I agree that the RNG in Hearthstone is becoming exhausting, but this has been the state of Hearthstone since Yogg. The issue isn't this card or this new type of RNG in my opinion, but rather that the devs seem to prefer chaotic, "fun" design over consistent, competitive design.

  • I'm always trying to see if there is a way I can make a new deck that uses uncommon cards in fun and interesting ways, so this card seems fitting:

  • Early access?! Youtube channel?!

    Awesome!

  • I've been playing the cyclone tempo mage list just for fun for the past few weeks, and it feels amazing when you go off with it. The best part about the list is that there is a lot of room for experimentation with card synergies.

Thanks to the Quest, Licensed Adventurer is a great addition to the cyclone mage archetype in standard since the rotation of Elemental Evocation. Because the list is "cheating out" so many spells with Sorcerer's Apprentice, Questing Adventurer is a card really worth trying out in the list in my opinion. Removing the "summoning" synergies (with Khadgar and Sea Giant) opens up the potential for more low-cost spell synergies that help out Chenvaala, Mana Cyclone, and Questing Adventurer should you add it. The list can even experiment with dragon synergies thanks to cards like Cobalt Spellkin and Arcane Breath.

I definitely recommend trying out the new Quest version of cyclone mage to anyone who liked the old version.

  • Thanks for the fun week of birthday events!

Next time, I'll be sure to pray to RNGesus harder to ensure I snag a giveaway win.

    Happy Birthday outof.cards!

  • What you've been doing is more than enough. Thank you for all your hard work and generosity!

  • One of my favorite wild decks right now is Odd Shaman; specifically, an Odd Shaman Dragon list that found a lot of traction on this site! It has a useful, well-written guide, and it is an under-explored archetype that finally feels like it has a viable decklist. Check it out for yourself:

  • Very fun! Thanks for the challenges this week <3

  • I love that they are continuing the bio-luminescent mushroom/forest/swamp theme for these card backs. They give a wonderful, yet mysterious feeling.

  • Here's to 1 year; hopefully there are many more to come!

  • I hope the game play satisfies your Baku Shaman desires. If this deck doesn't quite cut it, a less dragon-oriented version is showcased in this video by Roffle. It might even give you new ideas I didn't think of!

  • I love the Faerie Dragon color and aesthetic, so this is shaping up to be one of my favorite card backs from the progress we've seen.

It will also be nice to have another dragon-oriented card back.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Thank you!

  • Nice overview of the cards!

Quick Question to Avalon or anyone who knows: how have you managed to write "[Hearthstone Card (Skill Command) Not Found]" and have it display as Kill Command? I've seen a few people use this trick on the site, but I've been unsuccessful figuring out how to do it myself...

  • I welcome suggestions! I actually ran into someone on ladder playing Roffle's aggro version and realized that I should just include Mana Tide Totem+Totemic Reflection to replicate Far Sight's card draw while giving the deck more pressure/combos with strong totems on board (I added the suggestion in the substitutions section about an hour ago).

  • Thanks for trying it out!

When I made the deck, I absolutely expected it to be meme tier. As I said in the guide, I was shocked at its performance in the games I played with it--fortunately, the deck is really fun to play too.

  • Thanks for the feature!

I hope others can try out the infamous Odd Shaman and have as much fun with it as I did.

  • Continuing the glowing mushroom/swamp vibes from last month. Love it!

  • I'm a huge fan of the glowing mushroom aesthetic. Lovely Ballonlea vibes (from Pokemon Sword/Shield).
