  • Probably one of the weaker studies cards in the set.

Just like the other studies, this enables combos and tempo plays never seen before, but demons just aren't super strong compared to other tribes/effects.

I doubt this will see much play.

  • I'm afraid for my sanity if this sees play in a competitive deck... or decks.

Since ramp Druid is currently viable, I'm scared my fears will come true.

Strong card, but I'm hoping I'm overreacting.

  • Because this was one of the first cards released, I was shocked and thought this would be a star card. After seeing the rest of the cards, I now know that this is likely going to be pretty average for the set, but it is probably going to find its way into some kind of list in standard.

    Maybe battlecry Shaman uses this?

  • I thought this would be pretty weak, but it seems like Odd Rogue will be using this as an auto-include, so maybe some standard, hyper-aggro, weapon deck will get the same use out of it.

It seems like it is right on the cusp of really strong and kinda slow.

  • Not sure if this is busted or just ok. Maybe this replaces Crimson Sigil Runner since it consistently draws a card and can guarantee your outcast goes off that turn.

1-mana draw a targeted card is very strong, but DH might have enough card draw and strong options that this doesn't make the cut.

  • Ridiculously strong card. I suspect this to be a staple in standard and wild for quite some time.

Combo enabler and tempo/swing plays possible make it sure it will find some kind of home, especially since it is playable in the mid-game.

    We love a vers Queen!

  • I didn't think this would be good upon first glance, but after seeing it in use, it seems kind of ridiculous.

It has a bunch of underlying synergies that make it scarier and scarier.

Miracle decks, self damage decks, value decks, re-using specific minions decks, etc.

I expect this will get mana-nerfed in the future.

  • Doesn't seem very good; "in your hand" holds back cards from being playable most of the time.

Maybe some kind of swarm decks can make this work, but 5 mana is a steep cost to pay.

Usually having to spend resources to gain equivalent or worse resources somewhere else doesn't work out well in Hearthstone (see Feast of SoulsNethrandamus, etc.).

  • I'm not sure if this is going to be a sleeper like Corridor Creeper or meh-to-bad like Jumbo Imp. I suspect it will be somewhere in-between because the effect is defensive in nature and doesn't have the evolve potential. I doubt this will see much play this expansion.

  • This is a neat idea, but I'm not sure a board full of 1/1's is going to make this good enough (even in a spell damage package)...

Serpentshrine Portal just seems better in almost every situation to me.

This card doesn't have overload, but 3 mana for 2 damage and two 1/1's doesn't seem strong enough at baseline value when a card like Serpentshrine Portal is already in standard.

  • This card is good; in fact, so good it can even be run in decks without the Soul Fragment package. I suspect that this will be in almost every Warlock deck in standard, replacing Unstable Felbolt as the early single target removal card.

5/5 card to me, and it definitely is going to be a frustrating one to deal with thanks to the 4 healing.

  • This effect is obviously ridiculously strong, but I don't think this will actually see much play simply because Demon Hunter prefers to have tempo minions on board, and this card ruins that game plan.

In the future when a control archetype is competitively viable for DH, I see this card being a nightmare to play against since it is arguably a better version of Duskbreaker. Until then, I don't think this will be used in Soul Fragment decks for DH since DH stills wants that tempo game plan.

  • Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a solid meta card, especially in Shaman. I don't like that it is dual class with Mage, but there's nothing we can do about that now.

Totems with 3 health can get scary very quickly, especially when they only cost 2 mana. We'll see what happens, but I suspect this will be played in various Shaman lists.

  • If a buff-oriented list can survive the meta without requiring defensive spells, then this card will be a 5/5.

But I'm not sure a buff only list will be strong enough in either class to make this reach it's full potential.

Nevertheless, there are going to be salty games (on both ends) where this card hits the nuts or just kills itself.

  • As many others have shared, I don't like this card.

The effect has no counter-play, and it is not going to be enjoyable to be on the receiving end of this card. Moreover, other cards that don't have counter-play in Hearthstone don't usually feel as bad as this one likely is going to feel. For example, Bombs had no counter-play for quite some time, but they don't feel as bad psychologically simply because the effect is delayed and possibly never even experience throughout the game.

Hopefully this card is not very good in actual play, but it feels like it is going to be a very high-skill card that sees tons of play at high levels (sort of like a Loatheb.) Only time will tell, but here's hoping this card doesn't ruin Hearthstone.

  • I'm very excited for this card as I am for all of the spell damage support cards being added to standard.

I look forward to seeing how the new spell damage Shaman turns out now that this and others have been added from Scholomance.

Not sure if this is good enough to make the cut outside of spell damage lists, but it seems like spell damage Shaman will be a viable archetype this expansion.

  • After seeing the rest of the expansion's cards, this card doesn't seem like it's going to make the cut for Demon Hunter. The effect is strong, but I think the damage is too low, cost is too high, and payoff is too easily punished that late in the game.

Cool idea, but not something I expect to see anytime soon

  • This cards seems like it will be really nifty and cute when it works or when it is randomly added/discovered. It probably won't make it into any lists on its own, but maybe an aggro-demon list will make this playable, especially since Frenzied Felwing has ridiculously strong synergy with this card (even without the outcast effect).

  • This doesn't seem great to me, but it is a 5 mana 5/12 that can get better, so maybe this does see play?

When this goes off, I suspect it will be a nightmare to remove, but will it ever go off at a useful time? We'll have to see. Maybe it works in some kind of tempo Mage list.

  • This card is going to probably be absurd, especially since Mage got a handful of spell damage support this expansion.

Unless this gets nerfed, I expect this to be Mage's staple card draw in standard and wild until something better comes around.
