  • Its a good shadow aggro priest card. Thats just it.

A 3/2 that deals 2 damage most of the time will always be a consideration assuming the deck is still playable. There's not much really to comment on this. Its neither broken, nor unplayable trash.

  • This card is nuts. But fortunately for us there's not really any really good deathrattle cards in priest, at least not in the early game. Had imposter still be in standard team5 would be getting death threats, but its not, so we can breath a sigh of relief.

I'd expect someone to make something of this card, because unlike the other tradeable upgrade cards, this one is very powerful and tradeable is naturally a good keyword in a class that can barely draw.

  • If you get even a Libram of Wisdom out of this card its already a win.

The problem currently is that there's no buff that really goes on curve with this one, so the best buff currently is probably Noble Mount, which isn't and shouldn't be taken lightly.

Could get better, but probably not in this expansion.

  • Whatever spell that plays with this minion, its sure to at least remove something from the board so this card is an instant build around for a big spell mage deck, assuming that it ever gets to that point. The main problem facing this card from seeing any play is that quest mage is still the dominant mage around, and this card is shit there.

Still, being able to get something like Flamestrike, Arcane Overflow, or Deep Freeze out with a 6/6 is a wonderful thing to behold. Now if team5 can just get rid of quest mage we might actually see a winner here.

  • Its certainly very strong in any occasion as long as you have a deathrattle ready. But since hunter doesn't have something like Play Dead, your opponent can theoretically just ignore your deathrattle cards and have this be a dead card in hand.

Definitely a card we'll be seeing one way or another in the next year, there's no doubt of this in my mind.

  • Its definitely a good card in beast hunter, maybe most specifically in the wolpertinger deck, but its really very iffy. Cards that require minions to stick has historically never been good but its not out of the question for beast hunter to have at least 1 or 2 wolpertinger's on board, and you can easily load up another pair for this to deal 8-10 damage.

Other ways: Board full of rats, or rat king. But dont hold your breath.

But on its own, it at very least does deal 2 damage, which isn't terrible.

  • Probably good in taunt druid. But because it has no taunt of its own, it cant be discounted by battleguard, which may or may not be a good thing.

Outside of aggro, its just a solid 1 drop in a class that doesn't really need it.

  • Would be great had Felrattler not exist.

Oh well. I guess having a 2/2 on board is better than none, but what are the odd chances of players just not playing around this, and what does 2 damage actually kill really? Your best bet is for this to snipe a single 4 health minion, but if Kurtrus himself is rarely played what chance does this have?

  • Had a fun time in the reddit sections.

WHAT DOES NEED FOR GREED DO??????

But seriously this card is not good. Quest dhunter would never use this over Acrobatics because this card has a fixed value of 3 no matter what you do, and without the discount this card is just terrible. Outside of that, Skull of Gul'dan is still here, and until its gone there's no reason to even glance at this card.

The only niche it has is a deck that plays neither skull, nor acrobatics, and that's big dhunter. Well, that says it all isn't it? Maybe next year son.

  • Its basically hoping to draw deathrattles or its a prelude to something really big. Im betting that team5 would never print a card like this unless they are confident that its absolutely going to work, because at 6 mana there's no other way to describe this other than utter trash. Because even if you get two big minions, they'll both be so severely done over if not dead that the gameplan from there is probably hoping your opponent skips his turn from laughing too much.

If there's no support, theres no reason why this isn't 4 mana, because even then I'd still wouldn't play it. So heads up for some crazy minion that'll make this work.

  • Its main function is to get another copy of cards like Lightning Bloom, Fungal Fortunes, or Solar Eclipse. Getting fungal fortunes is particularly good, because playing that on curve just wins you the game.

But you'd have to skip a turn for it, or expect to discover it in a myriad of spells in a druid deck. Still, having a card that basically guarantees fungal fortunes on curve is already good enough in my books.

  • Had Wrath still be in the pool, this would have a been a good card. But sadly it is not.

Its just not very good most of the time because the current choose one pool isn't all that great.

But in duels, I can see this being a staple as long as Warden's Insight is still there.

  • Its a good card for beast hunter. But for face hunter its probably just going to muck it up because you'd much rather just have Quick Shot anyday.

Its just a good, solid card that does what it needs to do, and is a decent buff card.

  • Quest mage would play Spice Bread Baker, ping mage would forgo it, and big spell mage would...probably also play spice bread baker if they need the health.

As a tutor card, its slower than Frostweave Dungeoneer and Starscryer.

So where does this fit? I guess in big spell mage you'll get at least 5 health off this card, but is that really good enough? We'll have to see.

  • Its probably fodder for Grey Sage Parrot, of which this card is an excellent choice spell.

On its own, its a little weird, because you'd probably want to kill something big rather than make a big minion. But sometimes you can just freeze a big minion and kill a small one with this card to swing board.

I like it, but its a card for a hypothetical big spell mage, which ironically would never beat quest mage.

  • Its good in paladin mirrors, but in nearly everywhere else its just bad. There's no reason not to just play Libram of Justice if you need to remove something, and this card costs 3 mana, which means 90% of the time you'll just buff something you can't immediately play or are we actually entertaining the thought of keeping low cost minions in hand just so this card will swing board?

The best chance this card has is via a discover, because its not a bad card in its own right, but in a class that has cheaper removals, needs to play tempo on curve, and whose minions are usually going to be decently stated anyway, where does this card fit in? Not to mention that most decks currently aren't tempo, and this card is an active detriment against the hated quest mage.

  • Its sort of like Twilight Acolyte, except you cant target as you wish.

So if your opponent plays giant, you play this and make your own giant while reducing your opponent to a useless 2 attack minion, and this card has taunt.

But since most paladin cards have decent stats on their own, this has a chance to backfire, but it almost always guarantee a good minion with taunt on 5, and that's what counts in the grand scheme of things.

  • This is card is insane mostly because your opponent can't play around this and advance their game plan, since they always need to consider what they are giving you. And since most good cards are played on curve, this card will almost always give you a good card, like Doomhammer, or even a hero card, or your opponent basically plays off curve which is a win for you too.

The only reason this card isn't 5 stars to me is because you're basically giving up 3 mana to get one card the next turn so you're always one turn slower than your opponent. And since this card has no taunt, that's basically do nothing for a turn. For a class like priest that may not be always manageable.

  • A card that comes with conditions, without vanilla stats, and its conditions are atrocious. Draw cards need to be ready to go most of the time, unless you lose no tempo from playing it, and that's clearly not the case here.

Best thing this card can fit into is a mage that actually plays minions, like ping mage, because mage has spell tutor cards and you only ever need this to draw 2 to justify its existence.

But there's always a chance that some point we get more spell schools or an omni-typing for spells like amalgams, so this card isn't 100% dead yet.

  • Probably never going to see any play because Reaper's Scythe is simply better and doesn't come with conditions that require you to redraw the weapon.

The only niche I can see is you trade this back, draw with Corsair Cache to make a massive 5/4 weapon that will nearly always win you the game on its own. But that comes with its own problems, starting from the fact that you need to first draw it, lose it, then draw it back.

    Just play Reaper's Scythe man.
