You just made up the idea that this is "enforced equality," so no duh you're getting pushback on it. No one can predict what would've happened if two competitors didn't volunteer for this. Arguing with you about a hypothetical you imagined to get angry about is moronic.
In what universe has anyone on this planet EVER had "inviolable freedom of speech"? You can write a thousand letters to the editor of a newspaper, have them never publish a single one, and pose absolutely no threat to the concept of freedom of speech. It is a legal doctrine which states that the government can't stop you from starting up your OWN newspaper. It has absolutely nothing to do with your ability to publish in someone else's newspaper, which is what you're asking for in this forum.
If you make up a right for yourself out of thin air, yeah, I'd expect that very few people will respect your "right." Oy.
It only seems hypocritical if you don't think about it very hard. People who say "representation doesn't matter" as you just did usually think that way because they themselves are well-represented. Try to muster up a little empathy and listen to what other people are saying about this instead of assuming you know everything about the issue already.
Big Fortune Tellers and dragons from Draconic Studies can go a long way. I've been surprised by how many win conditions appear through card generation effects in Spell Priest as I've been playing it (not this deck, but something similar).
I'd say if you're worried about long Control matches, drop in C'Thun for an obvious win condition and extra spell synergy.
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I love that it's pure meta gaming! The actual matches don't matter except to give you enough experience to try to counter the current decks. It's all about rapidly iterating your ideas to out-cheese everyone else. It's a delight.
The vast, VAST majority of abusers go unpunished, while false accusations are extremely rare. Thus believing the victims of abuse is the only "fair" way to adjudicate abuse allegations, as it's much more likely that they're telling the truth about the abuse they experienced.
There is no way to "investigate" a crime that happened in private between two people that didn't result in a permanent physical injury. Each person's account is all you'll ever have to go on, and it's up to Blizzard (and everyone) to decide what to do given the information they have. There is absolutely nothing noble about defaulting to believing alleged abusers over alleged victims given the statistics in support of victims. Willfully ignoring that information is a truly disgusting choice to make.
You CAN disenchant the non-golden copies you probably already have, so it's not totally nothing.
But also: the golden cards were just icing on the cake added to help stretch out all the rewards across the doubled number of levels in the new rewards track. So you didn't lose anything with the addition of the golden cards - they just help fill the space between levels.
If you're playing Casual, how clued-in are you to anything, anyways? I bet Blizzard's data shows that the vast majority of Casual players are also lowercase-c casual players, and really don't pay that much attention to the interface or "which Casual" they're in.
Streamers?

Nobody "earned" their place in the Inn-vitational. What are you even talking about?

I mean... he described the Hero's Journey. Pokemon is far from unique in applying that arc to a "sports" competitor.
Sorry, mate, but both of those ideas are incredibly bad.

Consequences are tough when men are used to acting with impunity.
Believe victims who allege abuse, and then act accordingly on that information. They're much more likely to be telling the truth than making it up.

Yes.
Same! I came for the dust and stayed for... a LOT more dust.
Holy smokes! They just dropped 12,000 dust on me! I bought both Classic bundles, but this seems... excessive.

Why? It's so utterly optional, I just don't understand what the problem would be.
No, it's just that we, the players, have gotten better/smarter/less easily confused. Hooray for us!
It's 2021 - there is truly never any need to drop the r-word. Please.
