"The connectivity" has never been a concern - the problem with 2v2 has always been about the interface. Hand-waving it away doesn't make it less of a problem. They have a huge team that has worked on the issue, and they haven't come up with something they like. And that's why you'll never see it as a Brawl until they build the interface for an entire mode to utilize it. The Brawl team doesn't have the resources to do anything remotely close to that.
They'd have to design a whole new interface just for a single 2v2 brawl... it's not ever going to happen until a larger mode introduces the interface to support that.
I predict this will NEVER happen. Unless the economics change dramatically for some reason (i.e. more than half the player base completely ignoring all modes that utilize your collection) they have no incentive to do this.
They can still make a Baku/Genn-level mistake - they'll just have to nerf them rather than rotating them early. It removes one very blunt instrument for addressing such an issue, but that doesn't mean things will be totally unfixable.
Dawg: just save your deck-share code in any text editor, and then copy it back in to reconstruct your deck.
Also: there are not multiple competitive decks for every class in Wild. Your deck slots are full because you feel like it, not because the format demands it. Your complaints are incredibly petty.
"With the old version of the pass it wouldn't be the case"
Incorrect: the amount of gold has remained the same, they just removed some of it from special events and dropped it directly into the XP progression. The community went insane with seriously incomplete information.
But none of that has anything to do with Dean's comment, which is about their general philosophy on sometimes offering packs rather than making every single reward gold-only.
Then be strategic and only play Achievement decks when you're at a rank floor. They happen every five levels - i.e. all the time. The first thing I do when I hit rank 10 or 5 is queue up some meme decks.

Finishers aren't worth much if they don't actually finish. It's *supposed* to be good. Still less of an instant burst than original Alex could be.

Was Duels not the new game mode for this year?
What does that even mean?

Wait, for what reason were you previously holding onto Classic packs?

Sounds quite likely, but we'll have to see how the achievements read.

What metric would you use? Random Internet commenters' opinions?

How is it "massively complicated"? Good lord, y'all will complain about anything. Truly sad.
Ah, well good thing we elected you specifically to represent every player of the game. -eyeroll-
My gold has been significantly increased, so I sincerely don't know what you're talking about.
If you give the Tiller to your opponent, its effect will hurt YOU. So unless you want a one-turn self-own, that ain't gonna work.
Maraad has been my main cardback for years now. Such a great color scheme!
"Mr. Dick, if you're nasty."
They've clearly calculated that A-B testing (or A-B-C-D testing...) is more valuable than perceptions of "fairness."
