That's not true: they doubled the levels but halved the experience required, so it'll take EXACTLY the same amount of time to reach the 50 gold per level part.

It's Rexxar - they mentioned it right in the announcement: Firefang Rexxar.

Incorrect - the current track also levels out at 1500xp.

Does it, though? The acquisition conditions are very different.

It's really not that hard to get all the Legendaries in a set. I only spent money on the bigger pre-order package and the Tavern Pass, and I've had every Legendary in Darkmoon Faire for a while now (plus 3500 gold saved for the next set) playing quite casually, not even hitting all my dailies. Assuming Bru'kan is competitive, you'll be seeing a TON of Diamond versions.

The vast majority of the time, targets for this are not fully random, because you play it after narrowing their board to ensure it hits the right minions. Do you even play Hearthstone?

Playing just to win? What a boring way to play Hearthstone!

Meme cards are often relegated to epics so that the stuff people are most likely to get is also the most likely to be playable in a variety of decks.

If you're relying on it for exactly one hero power, you're playing it wrong.

Lowering the price on a digital good is beneficial to the consumer. Period. It's insane to suggest that making Hearthstone cheaper is damaging to the players. Making something cheaper is not a "scheme." That's utterly absurd.

Just because it wasn't played in the past as a finisher, that doesn't mean there isn't something extremely degenerate NOW that makes it a way better finisher.

Wait, so now LOWERING the price on something is a cash grab? That's literally insane, dawg.

I've been waiting a while for Control Warlock to become relevant again. So excited to play with new Jaraxxus!

I'm still confused - can you give an example? Why are there cards in your deck that you don't want to draw?

I'm honesetly confused. Why do you have cards in your deck that you don't want to draw? Can you give an example?

Edit: Are we just talking about playing a late Tracking, and thinning out cheaper cards that are less impactful in the late game?

In a world where they've dramatically scaled back on value generation, it's possible for it to see some amount of competitive play. But I kind of doubt it.

Thinning your deck by discarding the cards is only beneficial if you're running something that requires you to go to fatigue. I'm not sure when that's helpful in Hunter. Usually, Tracking was simply deemed acceptable because you're NOT planning on going to fatigue as Hunter, and thus don't care about the lost cards.

Most of the time, you only want to thin your deck in an OTK situation. And for a combo deck, you definitely don't want your thinning mechanism to discard anything. The possibility of being offered two combo pieces and losing one of them is not in any way worth it.

What's the downside to the Tracking buff? Genuinely asking, as I can't think of one.

No way on the spell type question - that's far too complicated for them to implement it without any card text explanation. Things that are affected by spell type will always spell it out explicitly in the card text.
