Not 100% I mean year of the mammoth had 2 expansion follow it's theme:
Mammoths both lived in cold climates (KOFT) and are extinct (unguru)
year of the kraken had a bit to do with tentacles (old gods) and it's a weak link but gadgetzan is a port city and there was a pirate theme. krakens are known to attack ships so it's a link sort of.
Year of the raven had only connection to the witchwood since it's a dark area and well there were a few ravens in the trailer.
I mean it's not much but there is a least one or 2 links to the year's creature name and the themes of the expansions.
Doesn‘t seem to greate but the synergy with Ray of Frost pops into mind. It‘s only a two card combo and an 8 mana 9-9 that has to be removed instantly. Could be even bigger with sorcerer apprentice.
I wouldn’t be to surpised to see this as a tech card for mages in specialist format but i wouldn’t bet on or either! The overall synergy with conjurer mage is not that big at
What do you mean 8 mana 9/9? If anything, then 10 mana 9/9, ray of frost does not cost 0. And if you assume Sorc Apprentice on board, then the combo is even worse, since it requires another card and will cost 10 mana total again. I get where ur coming from, but your example, even if it did cost 8 mana total, is not a good one to make this card look useful. Just a big body and a "wasted" card ... in mage? Might as well play Gruul and be better off, but you wont, cause Gruul sucks, this sucks more :/
Let alone that if you are doing it, why aren't you playing Exotic Mountseller or Archmage Antonidas, I agree with the comparison to Gruul it's worse than a card that is terrible in the same set.
The problem reno doesn't have much to do with magic.. that being said he was a support card of the kabal families in MSOG though so that's the link probably, since many people were used to see reno in mage.
I got an idea maybe the league of evil recruits other villains as well like the ones from gadgetzan:
Kazakus- Warlock
Don Huncho- Warrior
Aya Blackpaw- Shaman
Patches the pirate- Rogue (We all know he is a big crime boss of gadgetzan he was in charge after all)
Raza the unchained - Priest (Also well known card, there are 3 crime bosses so some others need to join)
League of explorers! I really like those guys I remmeber how hyped I was back then for LOE and how I really liked playing reno jackson and his "we are gonna be rich!"
How good is a random legendary? Answer: not that good. We saw effects that generate random legendaries it depends on the pool you get to choose from but in standard that pool is quite mediocre as many legendaries, specially from rastakan, are very specialized and niche.
Dragon decks or might I say tribal decks might be looking for a certain mana cost of a certain tribe, just to fill the curve, currently nightmare amalgam can be played at 3 mana if people wanted.. But dragons are currently supported poorly compared to mechs.
This card won't see play until nightmare amalgam rotates or unless dragon decks really want more 3 cost dragons and are OK with running a below average one.
· You can include one copy of Gift of the Wild in Token Druid.
· Arcane Devourer looks amazing being an Elemental in Cyclone Mage.
· I'm also thinking of High Inquisitor Whitemane in Resurrect Priest.
· Siegebreaker... not really sure but could replace Rafaam for a Zoolock (already has 4-6 demons and more could be added)
In general, the experimentation + the Hall of Famed cards will shift the meta no doubt. Hopefully it will be a big and fun shift :)
Sorry if it sounds too arrogant but, I have been around for enough time to judge cards really well, I know those cards will see no play.
Gift of the wild.. You are paying 8 mana for +2/+2 on all minions, you can't combo it with anything and the taunt is irrelevant as they want to clear your tokens anyway, would rather play Cenarius, which isn't played in token druid atm BTW.
Arcane devoured is garbage, if you are playing small spells while playing a high cost card why aren't you play antonidas or exotic mount seller? And no, elemental invocation doesn't make this card any good, should cost 5 mana that how much overcosted the card is.
Replace rafaam? You mean the back up plan card? How does siege breaker helps zoo against control, you seem to not know the purpose of rafaam in zoo, the card is too expensive, it doesn't have currently a place in zoo, but it have a chance to see maybe play as demon synergy is required.
Inquisitor is a win more card requires you to control the board and trade, compares poorly with kelthudzad and revenge of the wild has a slight chance of maybe seeing play probably the one that seem to suck the least and have an actual niche.
The other card I think might see play is brightwing but not currently cause mechs are better than dragons.
Yeah, they haven't given us an exact time yet but it is coming before the next expansion. I suspect in a couple of weeks so we have a month to play with a fresh meta of new cards.
Damn Blizzard, you been doing GOOD this year.
Sorry, but those card won't affect the meta at all, they are too weak they are at best arena cards.
Bog Creeper saw a little amount of play in shaman a deck called "bog champ" I think so it s Stateline isn't bad do note that 5 attack is more or less equal to 6 in constructed as most stuff die to 5 damage.
It has demon tag, the board wide buff is ok but too awkward to use.. Important to note that this buffs the randomly generated 7 drop pool.
Decent card might see play cause it's a demon or taunt one day, too weak for wild but if this card was around in knights it was an auto include cause of guldan.
Aggressively too costly, Wisps of the Old Gods never saw play, even in token druid.. You don't value taunt that much on token druid since they want to clear your board
I feel like the random effects in TDH aren't random akazamzarak always polymorphs the highest value target, the novelist always kills the highest value target, and I had mostly a low curve deck s Haro and he mind games the only 2 big minions in the deck, he mind gamed a sylvannas!
On the bright side I did finish 2 TDH runs so that was nice.
I like Gen 4 the most cause it has a lot of evolutions and improvements, also it's the first generation that got rid of the base type attacks and made the attacks stay usage based on move..
That made 0 sense I mean.. Ghost was physical.. After split all ghost attacks were special.. Same for dark all dark moves were actually physical.
It's not my fav Gen but I like Gen 5 there are many cool consepts there.

We aren't going to get flooded by bots again.. are we?

RIP league of EVIL
could heal 10 and still be fair or cost 0... should definitely cost 0..
cause basic cards that do useful things are scary, could easily heal 10 and still be MEH..
I think they mean that since cleric is alreayd a card in the basic set they won't add further card draw options.
12 mana warlock card 1/1 costs one less for each friendly demon that died this game in you hand battle cry: cast twisting nether.
No more mountain giant in mage.

Too much of a win more card, won't see play. You need to both play this and have your minions attack, revenge of the wild is hard to use at 2 mana

anyway 0/5 icicle levels of bad.
Decent arena card.. That's it.
Makes generating a random elemental worse.

LOL I just realized he opened the thread and then picked a fight, you ask for an opinion and then hate on other's opinions? Wtf
