Why is paladin a necromancy class all out of a sudden? that's the priest theme.. also isn't sir findley one of the good guys? why is he making mummies?
It's a damn shame Finley is a paladin card, I'd pretty much run him in every deck. I hope the new set gives us a new Paladin Archetype because this will see zero play in the Shirvallah OTK deck.
This one may actually see competitive play. You can tutor it a couple of ways. The randomness could be a hurdle though.
tutor it? they gave him 2 attack just so that you can't tutor him with Crystology, are you gonna run a spell paladin to tutor for him with Prismatic Lens?
Reno is really bad in standard I don't see why would you build a highlander deck just for him, the other mage cards so far have been meme cards.
Elise has an interesting effect but it's not strong enough to build highlander.
Brann is worth going highlander just need more support and a new archtype to go with it, we didn't see any hunter card so far so it might have more support.
FIndley is VERY strong I see why they put 2 attack on him and not 1 -> Crystology it could fish for him quite easily if it was a 1/3 it's the only explorer that didn't retain it's original statline (elise was a 5/5 last we saw her) need more support for sure, it costing 2 means it's a very highrolly card, if you happen to draw him early, good if not MEH..
I hope we get an epic card "doesn't count as a duplicate" + "if you don't have duplicates.." to get more support without having to waste 3200 just for TRYING to think about going highlander.
You could totally guess the effect, hahaha. But I mean, who would have guessed the name? I thought they tried to take the name from the plagues of egypt.
Don't think they knew what a murloc was back then..
You are talking about the 10 plagues aren't you? blood, frogs, parasites, wild animals, black plague, skin infections, hail, insects, darkness, death of the firstborns.
I mean murloc are close to frogs, madness fits non and death could fit the last one but nah.. The plagues being in a set inspired by ancient Egypt could mean they took inspiration from the Bible but none of the plagues seem related enough.
There are no murloc with taunt but there are murloc with charge and ways to push face damage as is.. this can act as a boardwide silence as well as making a board much easier to clear as murlocs have max 4 hp and that's just one murloc also you can run murlocs as shaman and make your board better aswell as hope for raid leaders and have bluegills in hand for lethals..
can be used to equalize the board state if yours is just tokens and they played a big taunt..
all in all this card seems weak and symetric but you can abuse it quite well even with the current shaman tools..if you are ahead on board and can summon a few tokens and the enemy board is empty you can make a formidable board of murlocs (sort of like the 6 mana legendary spell but more situational while having better results some of the time)
Minion spam into minion spam into minion spam; Hand/Zoo Paladin is coming and you don't even need to hit your face for 2 Health like Life Tap and/or need to empty your hand for Divine Favor.
Can search for the following(in standard, and will be relevant until next expansion since there's no standard filter yet..): https://outof.cards/hearthstone/cards/?hsclass=12&hsclass=5&name=&collectible=true&unreleased=unknown&card_set=31&card_set=32&card_set=34&card_set=35&card_set=45&card_set=3&card_set=4&card_type=5&rarity=&race=&family=&cost=&attack=&health=1
Elegant design for a 1-Drop. This can be a huge thread in the early game although it needs support because no agressive deck wants to heropower on turn two. I like it! Maybe token pala will become a thing?
no aggressive deck wants to hero power on turn 2? hmm people forget fast...
I have currently 1600 gold expecting to hit 3K by the expansion release, also I have around 12K dust of extra cards and 6K as dust (cards are more valuable than dust cause of nerfs/hall of fame).
If I knew we would get that many ROS packs over the expansion cycle I would save up way more.. I didn't play arena in a while.. that's probably why my gold count is so low..
The paladin quest will be to summon 1 hp minions? it makes sense since you can complete it without a build around with your hero power or you can build toward it..
My guess the quest is "summon X 1 hp minions" reward "boon of light" (from dalaran's heist): 2 mana give a minion divine shield.
normally each class has 2 themes going for it in the expansion (Except paladin in MSOG which was sad..) so the first one fro paladin is 1 hp minions the other one is probably murlocs, and the interesting part will be the overlap between them (many murlocs have 1 hp).
People who hate the deck just never played it, yes you can high roll but most of the time you are doing nothing around 5 turns just sitting there with a hand full of res effects and big minions with nothing to do.
the deck isn't op just when it wins it wins hard it's much more frustrating to lose to mech hunter who rush you down in 3 turns rather than a deck that gave you 5 free turns in wild, you can't play your cutesy gimmick deck but that's true about any format.
in wild most games are decided by turn 5~6 cause the power level is so high.
It's a deck that a lot of the time comes back from ~10 hp which it's satisfying most of the time.
I hope people stop bitching about decks in general, people only think about the opponent's broken deck but if you are anywhere past rank 20 you are probably playing something broken yourself.
For example mage is now 10 times more of a solitary game than priest, it can essentially stall forever and kill you in 1 turn doesn't even need to run the quest but it's so easy to complete now and if you have vargoth it's gg.

This is so out of flavor for paladin, a "good character" being a necromancer? Paladins and necromancy?
Looks good, you will be sad if it gets silenced, at least you can mortal coil/defile if you really want the card you discarded
great if your most expensive card is jeklik, then you get 4 jekliks!
The other legendary card is a quest.
Seems not worth to me.. if you want duplicates of stuff why run a highlander deck?
"always" it only happened once before.
and Krul the Unshackled wasn't even a consideration in reno warlock.
tutor it? they gave him 2 attack just so that you can't tutor him with Crystology, are you gonna run a spell paladin to tutor for him with Prismatic Lens?

there's no way such decks are unviable.
So.. You want wild wild?
Turn 10 6 card combo.. In wild it's a none issue.. Combo decks aren't really viable in wild.
No, reborn is like divine shield you can't stack divine shield.
Don't think they knew what a murloc was back then..

5 more slots that can be dragon paladin support since we know of 5 paladin cards so far.
these 3, quest and sir findley.
but at the same time I don't see what link do dragons have with desert ruins...

Also playing a minion is considered summoning.
Relevant cards (in standard, wild will take me way too long to type)
note:I didn't include cards that never saw play or are way too niche.
