I would watch it if it were in the conquest format but specialist? Nah, I will idle all the way to the 2 packs.

    Well I know a site I won't visit anymore...

Demoted from admin because you promoted an alternate site while the site was set to close isn't really anything wrong, staying with the community rather with the name...

    Not honna support those backstabbers.

Don't think any new tribe will add anything to the game at this point I prefer revising existing tribes like dragon or pirate with new mechanics just like mechs were revisited.

I could see elementals having other type of synergies apart from played last turn..

Too complicated for HS design policy (understandably so, for this matter), won't happen.

And they will also never try a Genn/Baku risk in the future, where the upgrade is a Start of the Game effect, no matter how harsh the deckbuilding restriction. And again, understandably so: Genn/Baku should have been class or triclass-restricted, not full-blown neutrals. Making more cards with that design would trigger a social Mass Hysteria on Standard community.

If anything, it could be new fuel for future Hero Cards, or cards that work similarly to Justicar Trueheart or Raza the Chained, that is, upgrades that are bound to card draw.

Even then, most of the Hero Powers don't look so exciting as to deserve complicated designs efforts... Maybe only few of them.

The thing is that this "complicated feature" already is kind of in the game it doesn't require too much of additional GUI to add to the game(it can be just like adding a card back to a deck, you will assign the hero power as well), also it would make strategies that are a total failure in certain classes more relevant and expand the posibilities.

I am not talking about adding baku again I am saying that if they add starting hero powers they need to add support to baku hero powers in the wild format as well as justicar.

I am against another "start of game" or draw dependant effect what I am talking about is a balanced, yet different hero power on the same power level of the current ones..0 mana cost effect, or 1 mana cost with a draw back(take damage, random, overload, costing 3,symmetric) it's a design space the devs aren't using.

they don't have to look exciting cause they are starting hero powers what is exciting is adding support and consistency to previously failed archtypes by adding more depth to deck building as well as adding another strategic layer to the game expanding the possibilties.

for example Rogue hero power is tempo heavy but Blizzard is trying to push value rogue if the hero power supported a more value oriented game plan.. or warlock really would like a hero power that uses the discard mechanic.

we saw endless examples of hero powers the devs come up with in the adventure, you tone them down to standard play and then you get a new layer to deck building, it could be an event at first for testing.

Anyway it's just a possibility they might test for the future.

Well the hero powers won't be implemented as is, but after a slight nerf/ adjustment.

I really don' t think we will get those hero powers as hero cards as their power level is medium to low at best..

I have been wondering about the hero power selection in the heist adventure and it seems like the hero powers in the adventure might be alternative hero powers in common play in the future..

Of course not in the same balance since they are a bit overturned for the adventure but a toned down version (or even buffed) might be something that might appeal to team 5 to implement into HS in the future..

Think about it many cards/archtypes team 5 tried to push failed due to lack of consistency, for example "freeze" tempo mage(the one with tempo freeze cards) or overload shaman, or rush/enrage tempo warrior decks..

I think such decks have been held back by the lack of support in the hero powers, there seem to be some hero powers that might support those archtypes while still being basic enough for the game.

I will give my idea about implementing the heist hero powers into standard play will try to keep it as brief as possible as this post is already too long anyway.

Do note that I am  balancing them around "the effects cost either 0 mana or 1 mana and a drawback"

By upgraded I mean the baku hero power.

Mage: 2 mana freeze an enemy. upgraded: and deal 1 damage to it

Shaman: 2 mana draw a card overload (1), 1 mana might be too OP, at 2 mana it enables overload synergy easier, while having a clear draw back. upgraded: draw 2 cards.

Hunter: opportunist from heist is perfect as is +2 attack is balanced by the fact you need to have rush or already present minions to activate it. upgraded: +3 attack

Priest: 2 mana lower the attack of a minion by 2 until your next turn. upgraded: by 3

Rogue: 2 mana burgle a card from another class (not sure might be too OP, no idea how to nerf it but it's a "0 mana" effect) upgraded: burgle 2 cards.

Warrior:2 mana deal 1 damage to a friendly minion give it +2 attack upgraded: +3.

Druid: 2 mana give a friendly minion +1/+1. upgraded: +2/+1

Paladin: 2 mana give a friendly minion divine shield. upgraded: I am actually not sure.. maybe the other one supporting hand buff is more healty.

Warlock: 2 mana, take 2 damage deal 2 damage. upgraded: 3 damage taken/dealt

Now are you thinking how would they reward them to players.. well there IS a pointless system currently that tracks your hero level that level is totally pointless from level 10, it could after level 30 for example unlock the alternate hero powers which you will choose on deck building, also the hero power will need to show up on the hero portrait for clarity so you can mulligan for it better.

What do you think will blizzard/team 5 introduce such a change in the future, and used heist as a testing ground for this feature?

League of legends name selector, I had this word "summoner" in front of me, "your summoner name" tried many names they all were taken.. good thing I landed up on this name cause even now 7 years later I think this name is cool and I main Shaco in league which is a champion which has a cloning ability so it's fitting to me, and I always thought of it as a person who brings more potential into the game by having the ability to do stuff twice.

Kept using it on other games as well and just kept using it now it's my name in every gaming environment I join.. I know it's a yugioh card which is actually one of the cards I liked the most, since it bends such a basic rule of being able to normal summon an additional monster this turn, I am not longer a follower of the yu gi oh franchise (Although is is the main reason I started playing HS) but I still appreciate the card and I was well aware when choosing my name, and some people DID mention it over the years.

for people who don't know the card:

That rogue deck looks so inconsistent, so many cards that just aren't standalone good waiting for another card to show up to synergize with it.. And the deck has very little card draw(it has card generation, but just one card actually draws cards) seems weird.. Does it even work?

Dunno tried to make the deck and it seemed too gimmicky for me, do you absolutely need *2 prep? I disenchanted it post nerfs.

Well for now you can see from which expansion are the cards, the moment you see a wild expansion card.. it's a wild deck.

    "

I know you can just hover over a card in the deck you're browsing but not everyone knows what expansion certain cards come from.

    "

I mean you don't even need to hover on them.. you can see the expansion icon near them.

Why is Desperate Measures considered a secret? it's a card producing a secret so it's not really one.. it's like saying Hydrologist is a secret.

As far as the current meta decks only the first three I list below will buff a current meta deck.  Not sure any have the strength to push another deck into the front of the meta.

Luna's Pocket Galaxy is a card i've already seen in at least two top legend lists for cyclone/miracle mage.  I'm not sure if it's just a card they're forcing in because it's cool or how good it actually is, but in long matches i've won games against warriors and stuff with a randomly generated one.  The potential with conjurer's calling and Pocket Galaxy at 5 mana seems like it could be a thing.

Necromechanic is probably going in just plain bomb hunter and definitely going in the more off meta mechrattle hunter deck.

Crystology is already super strong and in holy wrath paladin and mech pally.

Thunderhead and Extra Arms make those cards really good (Thunderhead is already good, now better) but i'm not sure it's enough to push those classes over.  I think shaman is really close and this is a great push, though.

Gloop Sprayer makes heal druid like 2% better by making Juicy Psychmelon better.

I don't think the rest are that relevant.  Pogo is cool and a 50% reduction is definitely strong but I don't think the problem with Pogo rogue was ever "gosh I have all these pogos but I just don't have the mana to play them!".

it is that you are overun by aggro if you do your stuff earlier and have extra mana for survavility plus the new synergy with magic carpet so you can actually have pogos as removal and then bounce them while removing their board it's quite huge I am not saying pogo is going to be tier 1 or 2 but it's at least gonna stop being the worst deck in the game.

I saw the closing coming, they stopped supporting core features, and started closing projects. also this site was the last nail in the coffin people speculated the site is going to close since march

You asked for strongest deck, the answer is simple and it's not a pleasant one: mech hunter is gonna be top tier and the "new bad guy" he got a new 4 drop which is very strong, and a new 3/6 drop as well I think the deck will drop flark now for good and have 2 variants in DR and bombs, bombs are currently better but the mechanic and nine lives now have a huge potential.

While Extra Arms is now a very strong card I doubt it will make a new deck.. more arms will go into the cycle nomi deck as a spell to cast twice (it's basically a twinspell...).

    other deck ideas:

Spell damage mage might arise with unexpected results the card is now a high tempo card as well I am not really sure if it will be a deck by itself or just added as a package to existing hybrid giant/hurricane mage.

Paladin will be tier 1 having a card draw at 1 mana is insane doesn't matter what it draws it's now the best card draw card in the game.

The storm bringer will be included in wild even shaman, the deck has the board a lot of tims by turn 6 but nothing to do with it, thunderhead will be integrated into murloc shaman.

In conclusion: I think paladin and hunter will be the strongest classes post patch.

Is there anything (in terms of features/content) that's currently on hearthpwn that won't make it to this site?

Goal is 1:1 features but tons more! It will take us a long time to rewrite some of the much older content like full adventure guides for naxx and such, but it will eventually get done, and maybe even be updated properly

Do you really need to rewrite it? I mean.. the information is there and didn't you guys wrote it? or is it copyrighted to curse?
