It’s definitely a very necessary mechanic, and encourages a tempo range that is more exciting than what we had in previous years, but does need to be used less frequently. The value Rush adds to a minion is insane. It provides classes with no spell removal a chance to take out big minions with trades and a bit of strategy. But when every deck has access to Rush minions of all shape and size then it starts to undermine the other mechanics/ strategies of the game, such as healing minions to keep them on the board longer
in the opening hand, it can be used for tempo against agro or drawing to set up against combo.
The twinspell makes up for the fact that you are a card behind after drawing the quest in the opening hand. Also great when you throw down Ysera, who will definitely become a Quest Druid finisher in slower meta
Favourite moment of 2019 was the continued story line, with what was effectively a “greatest hits” compilation. Seeing old characters and revamped mechanics really brought back a lot of Hearthstone nostalgia!
hopefully 2020 will bring the continuation of the developers new approach to meta control. Reviewing the state of the meta, nerfing, buffing, adding new cards (in the form of adventures) between expansions, and doing more to ensure that the meta doesn’t go stale for weeks on end.
side note: I’m personally excited for a clean slate in standard for the next rotation. A lot of unplayable cards and pack fillers were printed over the last couple of years, and sadly, so many rubbish epics and legendaries. I’m looking forward to the new year beginning with the core set from year of the dragon and seeing how the next expansions build off that. Goodbye Duskfallen Aviana
Yeah, the two are close calls. When you think of the additional value that the kobold gives you by being able to TAKE the weapon, you seriously can say it's worth the two extra mana cost... In wild, at least... There aren't many great weapons to snatch in standard at the moment.
Revamping the basic/classic set would be great for the game. Revise some of the older and more stale strategies and inject them with new life.
Little changes like:
The treants summoned by Force of Nature to have taunt again. But not charge.
Innervate to give +1 mana the first time played and then +2 the second time played.
(I only play Druid so have no other class examples to hand but let this be an sampl of the quirks that I mean)

With this much draw; you would be mad not to include the new Ysera. That's a lot of dragons when you Floop all over her.

This deck is great for a laugh. Have tried a similar one with a couple of Bright Eyed Scouts, on the off chance you get a turn 5 KP.
It definitely needs an alternative win condition to become competitive.
Unfortunately this deck will not do well against Big Priest, but I have been playing something similar for months and it is still fun, none-the-less.
