  • So... do you guys think there is any chance that this will count as a Trent and thus buff itself? I doubt it, but you never know with Blizz I guess.

  • I agree with you, the punish is unreal. I can see this one card being a reason for very limited use of dragon in next meta. I don't know how good the still-to-be-seen dragons would have to be to make it worth risking getting rushed by the 8/8 on turn 4.

  • I think it is too strong to be honest. 8/8 rush on turn 4 is just overkill, it is better than Mountain Giant. This card will be a fun killer.

That being said,  I like the idea of anti-dragon tech, I even like the design and flavor of this (being a dragon poacher, so it rushes to kill a dragon and gets some extra stats). IMHO. it should have cost more mana, or get smaller boost, like 4 mana 4/4 that gets +2/2 and rush.

  • So many Trolden stars this time around, the memes are strong with this expansion.

  •  I can this being played in some kind of control highlander deck, that cannot run 2 doomsayers. Other then that, it is a budget doomsayer, which is nice. Will not replace original one for the players that already have them, as 2 more hp and destroy minions vs deal 5 are significantly diffrent (better for the OG Doomy)

Every single one of these "transform while in hand" cards has been bad.

Shifter Zerus, Chameleos, Molten Blade, Shifting Scroll and none of them were ever any good. Could be a fun card, but the sheer amount of variance in this means it likely will not see any competitive play.

On the good side, when you top deck this late game, you can play it as a 5/5. I mean, it is not as bad as top decking any of the other "transform in hand" cards

  • In my opinion this is just bad. Eggs without deathrattle effect may be traded for free, and if your opponent does not have enough minions on board to deal with them then:

    a) if they are aggro/midrange/tempo -> you probably already won, no need to play this

    b) if they are control -> they probably don't care too much/have tools to deal with it even after hatching

  • As someone has already pointed out in the comments below, this probably means priest gets Murozond.

  • Yeah, that pretty much sealed it imo

  • Yeah, that's my thinking too. Blizzard's wording strikes again though.

  • How does "turn" actually measure? Does it mean "your opponent's turn" or "yours + your opponent's"? I am wondering how does trading minion with a weapon work with this.

  • This is exactly what a dragon deck needs - a very strong dragon on its own, does not require you to hold a dragon, and even if it you are at full health, the body is decent enough to be played for tempo.

I think this is strong enough to be played even in the non-dragon deck.

  • Hi! I agree, that is why I wrote that if there are like 2-3 more class cards to support DragonLock, it may be viable. I just doubt it will happen.

Also, not getting dragon explorer is a huge blow for a dragon deck, as dragon synergy so heavily rely on having dragon in hand. They would have to print a legendary dragon with the DK Guldan level of broken to push Warlock into dragons.

But that is just my opinion for now ;)

    cheers!

  • I doubt there will be enough dragon support to make dragon Warlock viable, hence these 2 cards will not see competitive play. They would be very good/broken in another class, but unless warlock gets 2-3 more class cards that either are dragons or have strong dragon synergies (which I don't see happening), these 2 will be arena only.

If there is only neutral support, then other classes will (probably) just make better use of it and produce stronger dragon decks. Note, warlock will not get dragon explorer, which already hurts.

These also don't really fit in a Galakrond deck, which I guess will be dominant (based on a history where Hero Cards were usually build-arounds for classes that have had them)

  • It counts for me! ;)

  • How about hero power "recruit phase ends in 5 seconds" ?

  • Hi OP, I think I will try your deck, looks really fun and fresh! I have one question though, as I miss the good old control pally Aldor + Kodo combo. (I guess Aldor could be replaced with Subdue now). Kodo is also a beast, so could be an extra draw with Curator.

Have you tested it? Which cards would you cut for including them? My guess is to remove Vulpera and BGH.

    Cheers!

  • Hi guys, has anyone played this deck on ranked so far and would like to share their opinions? There is no win condition besides "not dying", right? (NZoth does not seem to produce enough, even fully loaded).

I wish you would have included possible playoff and releagation scenarios. Maybe next season?

I second that, would be cool!

  • My favorite moment was when I first logged in and got my most wanted quest as a free one. It feels good when RNG is on your side.
