That other format where there's a bajillion other things I'd want to try before Baku decks?

That other format where they barely regulate and attempt to balance?

Wild is fun now and then but it's not always the answer for being bored of Standard.

Also, I admit I forgot about the resurgence of Control Warrior, I guess entirely because it's still in the resurgence phase. The deck's still picking up steam and turning heads.

Then why don't you try those bajillion decks out if you're bored of standard? I really don't understand the problem here. As you said, the last month of standard pre-rotation/expansion is a pretty dull period. So change it up by trying a different format or a new gamemode entirely.

Fyi, that other format requires little regulation or balance as it usually balances itself (as it does now) excluding a few exceptions.

Uhm, if you're bored of standard and yearn for some odd/even decks then have you, perhaps, tried playing that other format which has those cards?

All I'm seeing so far is a thread full of people who apparently don't remember wild mill rogue...

A t4 deck can't really attract so much hate...

    Did someone say big priest?

    No?

    Oh, then I will:

Big priest. That cockroach has nearly been exterminated in wild. But now it's popping up in standard for some reason. By far the most unfun deck I have, and unfortunately continue, to play against.

Honorable mention goes to solitaire (freeze) mage.

Another day, another cardgame in which Kaladin plays absolutely perfectly yet is hardstuck at low ranks because his opponents always  have the perfect answers and topdecks.

Can you limit your shenanigans to the salt-thread and not litter the rest of the forums with additional threads? Thanks.

The real question is whether a minion with negative attack heals the enemy it is attacking or not.

Yeah Hack the System sucks, but Rogue also plays a Quest it never completes ;)

Yeah and that's not a good idea either.

Although interesting, it just isn't good.

Guys, I was thinking today that actually you can definitely play the Elysiana + a guaranteed second copy if you play the Warrior quest and the adventurer that gives you coin if you have an active quest? You can also mulligan off the quest since you don't need it right away. Or you could use it as a win-condition in the late game?

P.S. I hate that archetype and I have never played it...

There is no lategame fatigue-wars in this meta. So that combo is pretty pointless.

Other than the fact that it's a buffed Assassinate paired with a 4/4 body for only one more mana?

Additionally to that, the fact that it hits all copies makes it a great board-clear against decks such as token druid that often have 5/6 treants on board.

It also instantly wins the game versus holy-wrath paladin, but that deck is basically extinct.

The card's just really good. Similar to Vilespine Slayer previous rotation.

Do we have a Legends of Runeterra salt thread yet, or is the salt thread for all games?

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't see the need for HoFing anything right now. I do have some sympathy for people wanting to see Leeroy Jenkins, Divine Favor or Malygos gone and I understand their reasoning well enough. I like those cards and their flavor though and my foremost concern is the question what they would be replaced with. I found the last round of substitutes quite awful and I would hate to see such iconic cards swapped with something like those. Imagine Blizzard HoFing Maly and giving us Brightwing instead...

tl;dr: I don't see the necessity but won't argue as long as there are good substitutes.

Preeetty sure Divine Favor is already hall of fame'd.

I agree with the sentiment that nothing really needs to be HoF'd right now.

Wasn't the entire idea of the rush mechanic to replace charge? Reynad's description of the mechanic is spot on in my opinion: "Rush is charge but balanced".

We basically haven't seen a single charge minion since the rush mechanic was introduced (correct me if I'm wrong).

Yes, some of these cards are strong, a little too strong perhaps. But I'd much prefer burst from hand on my board, rather than my face.

I'm pretty sure they said they want to incentivize daily play, rather than grinding. Which completely fits the current system.

And indeed as some other user pointed out, from my limited playtime and guides I have checked, the model seems extremely f2p-friendly.

I feel like the title is a little misleading. Mecha'thun is fine, the real problem is Plague of Flames and all of its broken synergies with the warlock class. That card alone has elevated multiple warlock decks to higher tiers.

Rankstar reported cube/egglock to be the strongest deck in the game due to said synergies.

If you want to beat warlocks as an aggresive deck you need to go over the top and not rely on board as much. Either through weapons (pirate warrior) or burn spells (mage).

How'd you enjoy 90% of your matches being mirrors, cause this deck is literally the only thing I've seen the past few days.

    Back to wild we go!

Surprisingly enough, I didn't run into the mirror as often as I thought I would. Still a lot of Hunters and Rogues out there, even though they don't stand a chance at all.

Even ran into one Holy Wrath Paladin who actually beat me. Guess that deck isn't all that bad when Rogue isn't as common.

Obviously the deck is pretty popular right now because it's finally a playable version of Embiggen. Either way, if Blizzard's recent policy is anything to go by we'll have hotifx nerfs at least by the time all the Adventure chapters are out.

I understand it being popular due to being a 'new' deck in the middle of the expansion, but that matchup spread on hsreplay looks ominous.

I tried token druid as that seems to be one of the only decent decks that's actually favored against it, but it didn't perform that well for me.

What's your track record against token druid, if you faced any?

Eh, I don't mind the deck as much as secret mage.

Besides, if you keep losing to ice block into Reno then why not just add some secret tech to get through that ice block the turn before they can drop reno.

OP whines about oppressive decks that even monkeys could play in standard...

...And then starts playing secret mage in wild.

It's been a while since I've read something this ironic.

I think best in class comparison would be righteous defender, which saw a lot of play in aggro decks. I think that if this sees play, it will be to control the board so you can get favorable trades.

Do you mean Righteous Protector? That card literally costs half of what this card costs though. Of course this card has twinspell but aggro decks would much prefer a significant mana reduction to snowball harder.

Seems like a solid minion but not sure what deck this would go into.

Why are you trying to get a collection rather than building towards decks you want to play?

Pick a few decks you're interested in and work towards getting whatever cards you still need for those decks. Your wild collection will expand naturally. Realistically, wild decks only require a handful of cards from each expansion anyway.
