  • With the loss of Frost Nova, this will certainly fill an important gap, and provide very cheap combo potential for Snap Freeze and Glacier Racer

  • Probably fine, but a little pricey for a card you expect to play after you play some kind of card draw.

  • Getting a free ping for every spell makes this a pretty great partner for Lock and Load as your payoffs for Spell Hunter

  • Great buff for murlocs, meh buff for your totems but I guess that's fine if you're going wide.

  • Pretty sweet card for some kind of control deck - even just getting a free Drain Soul would be pretty compelling, but combining this with Siphon Soul on turn 8 would be nuts - kill two enemies, heal six, and get a soft taunt on the board.

  • Felfire Potion saw some play, so maybe this can too. The two mana reduction is nice, but losing a bunch of cards from your deck could hurt pretty bad. That said, Kibler's "Prime Gaming" Warlock can load its deck up with Primes very easily, so maybe there's a case where cutting through the junk in your deck is a good thing.

  • Great card for any kind of aggro mirrors that Token/Zoolock will come across.

  • Seems really powerful. The board-wide buff is certainly worth 1-mana on its own, but the buff to everything in your deck and hand could easily push this to being worth 3 mana. Obviously that's not what the cost is, but since this was revealed with some Paladin Holy spell cost reduction, I think it's clear you can get this to be worth it.

  • This would be a pretty middle-of-the-road card, but since every secret in Paladin is a Holy spell, this is a great way to quickly reload your board in the late game.

  • Seems like basically an auto-include in every paladin deck. If you only reduce the cost of a single spell, you still get a minion whose "net cost" to stats is vanilla, and you also get to deal 4 to any enemy minion.

  • Yoink! is a very strange card. Maybe being a cheap spell that gives you good value is enough to make it worth playing, but I seriously doubt it. The only way this card is worth a damn is if there are some hero power synergies for Rogue.

  • The base form of Tame Beast is obviously pretty meh, but "2 mana deal 4 to a minion" is a very fair card, and "2 mana deal 6 to a minion" is really good. Add in the potential to have a damaged minion left over afterwards and you've got a very strong card.

  • The series has been around for 25 years, but as an RPG it really still caters to the youngest audiences for the game, with fairly simplistic mechanics, easy bosses, etc., and very little new or different from game to game. That's fine, of course, and gives a new audience their Pokemon experience every few years, but there are tons of richer RPG titles for people who have aged out of that and want a more challenging experience. Pokemon shows no real interest in aging up with its older fans.

With that in mind, it's hard for me to get excited about a Pokemon remake. It plays on nostalgia to sell games to people for whom the game is certainly too easy today. As much nostalgia as I have for Pokemon, today the experience feels worn out.

  • Good anti-aggro, but I'm interested to see if there's any sigil synergies before passing final judgement.

  • Great card - should see tons of play in Control or Midrange Priest

  • Seems good - there are already a lot of good 1- and 2-cost spells available in Year of the Gryphon

  • Condemn (Rank 1) seems like a pretty reasonable card. It doesn't take much support to make a 2 mana, 3 damage AOE valuable, particularly if you're able to make trades on board. Even Rank 2 is not all that bad - Breath of the Infinite saw plenty of play, and that didn't always go off on turn 3. Sometimes you just need a lot of AOE redundancy to beat aggro with Priest, and this is good enough to be just that.

  • Really impressive effect, and a decent sized taunt for the cost. Should see tons of play
