  • This mode is definitely more ambitious than I thought it would be. Let's if they find a good balance between the mechanics of labs of legends and saltwater scourge.

  • Even if Jayce turned to be good I don't see Lux being viable unless they nerf some of the Bandle aggro cards. They are just too oppressive to any form of control.

  • A tutor card for Jayce the 6/5 quick attack is decent stat line but the best part is the burn damage that you can increase by casting 6+cost spells it give the decks another much needed win con.

  • This is great if you have a Jayce or Lux on the board but is pretty meh without them.

  • Don't know what to think about this one 4/4 elusive is strong but 6+ cost spell makes it clunky.

  • This is one the better cards from the champion set. There are some 6 mana spell that you don't want to main deck but who can be pretty powerful in certain situation like Hextech Transmogulator or Back to Back. Now you can access them with this follower.

  • This look terrible if I am being honest, it's possible to get some great cards but you can also low roll some unplayable cards like Molten Breath or The Skies Descend.

  • So Lux got a new partner in crime.

  • The only support Deep need is a nerf to minimorph.

  • So we got an upgraded version of Saltwater Scourge, cool.

Is each champion going to have unique encounters and bosses?

  • Yeah MTG is definitely better when it comes to deck building possibilities it also help that it's been around since 1993 but if you can really predict your opponents next 8 plays before the game starts and still lose it might be because the decks you are playing are not very good.

    Anyway saying that midrange meta is over does not seem like an accurate statement if statics are to be trusted. The top 10 deck are 5 midrange ( Draven/Sion, Gankplank/Sejuani, Swain/Teemo, Pyke/Rek'sai, Akhsan/Sivir) 3 aggro ( Poppy/Zed, Poppy/Ziggs, Twisted Fate/Gankplank ) 1 combo (Lee Sin/Zoe ) 1 control ( Senna/Veigar ).

  • Riot is currently asking for player feedback for the next balance patch so if you guys have some buff/nerf suggestion this might be a good opportunity to share them here :

  • Let me guess you got run over by Poppy/Zed?

  • 1. Otterpus is annoying not OP the only deck that run him are darkness and shellfolk control both are just tier 2 decks.

    2. That a good change.

    3. Another good change.

    4. I don't see any reason to change Stress Defense most of the time is just a worst Flash Freeze. Bandle City decks rarely run this and when they do it usually limited to two copies.

    5. If your goal is make the card trash, sure. 2 health is a garbage stat line for any unit who want to trade especially a 4 drop and before you bring twisted fate don't forget that he has a play effect so he always give some value before dying the comparison to Ekko is not a good one either Ekko level up in your deck so most time you are playing Ekko as a 5/3 but more important is that he don't need to trade because of the quick attack keyword (not that he is a good champion to begin with).

  • Yeah it's thought to be a Hearthstone player right now. I keep track with the competitive scene and saw does incanter flow decks ( the one with deck of lunacy and quest Mage ) that stuff was crazy and let's not even get to quest Warlock.

  • Must...Not...Click...On...Spoiler...  Nah I can't resist, let's check that out.

  • There are additional information on Riot website.

  • Lee Sin is definitely one of the top dogs. Hush don't see much play and there aren't that many deck that use Minimorph, those that do only run two copies, it's 3 lee vs 2 mini you do the math. If you managed to get rid of all their Lee (good luck with that) they still have Zoe level up as secondary win con. Removing Eye of the Dragon is easier said than done, the card itself is decently tanky with it's 3 health and Ionia/Targon combination have the best protection spells in the game. Fortunately the deck is hard to pilot correctly, so most players shouldn't have trouble beating it by exploiting misplays but when you encounter a good Lee Sin player it's one of the few deck that can make you feel like there nothing you can do to beat it.

That aside I really hope they revert the nerf to Stalking Shadows nightfall is my favorite aggro deck because it actually requires to plan you move ahead rather than just play on curve and go face but right now playing the deck just feels like you doing twice the work for half the reward.

  • I was planing on writing a more in depth discussion on the subject but due to busy scheduled I am gonna have to be brief and go straight to the point.

I think that mana cheat cards are becoming more and more problematic. Right now They are still at reasonable level but they are getting better with each expansion.

Cards like Wiggly Burblefish and Bandle City Mayor always you to play more cards than your opponent and still have a bigger hand. Fount of Power enable some infinite shenanigans were we either wait 20 minutes for opponent to finish their turn or just surrender.

I think that any card that offer mana discount should be caped at 1.

So do guys also think that this will become a major issue or am I just overreacting?

  • When it comes to deck building, LOR is no Magic: The Gathering. The synergies are much more obvious and restrictive and barring a few tech choice your list is not gonna be that different from other players. Unless  your into the more meme stuff then you get pretty creative there.
